We have detected multiple failed login attempts have been made on your
account for a total of 8 times, therefore your account on Gaia Online
has been blocked for 15 minutes."But it was sent to the email address that Heliosconverse is under. That's what is confusing me. I've never had an account named Moonfoxmagic. Very strange! eek It happened again!! I would wonder if they were having some sort of database issue but it's odd it would only trigger there. Maybe they updated the code for the email and got it off by some number? I don't know. As far as I can tell, Helios still has everything on him. It's just really weird. And I'd feel bad if someone else was getting hacked and they're sending ME the emails. I sent an email off to one of my mod friends to ask him about it. For one reason or another, Moonfoxmagic has the same e-mail as Helios, so someone was trying to brute force Moonfox and... You got the e-mail. How is that possible? I thought Gaia didn't allow more than 1 account per email address? I've had that email address for years, and Helios has been around since October of 2004.

Someone from a home security company came by to tell me there's been like 3-4 break-ins in my neighborhood recently. I don't know if I should be scared or if this is all just marketing.

So I posted like, twice in GD when people were bitching about how SW unfairly banned people left and right, to say "Dude, he can't even ban - he's a site mod" since it's been made clear in several other places, most specifically by SF regs.
Pretty much the gist of what I said was (short version): "Soundblast can't ban. He can't be blamed for that."
And in response I got a PM consisting of: Vivaldy You're quite a loyal friend, to lurk through a forum you don't like or frequent.
Perhaps it's even borderline trolling, as you are being a bit provocative?
Interesting.

How in the world is that borderline trolling? So like... It's not okay for me to say that it's impossible for him to ban because everyone else wants to talk about "OH GOD I HATE HIM"?

Going to con this weekend. Gonna try to "sneak" into Ichi the Killer, unless I decide to do something else.. XP (they don't really ID for anything less than 18+, and they have this one at 17+, so sneaking not really required)

Thus you'll find a lot of 03, 04, and some 05 accounts sharing email addresses. Much like how the current name check system will prevent somebody from registering ~W.h.i.t.e-J.o.k.e.r~ because WhiteJoker is already taken, but previously you could do this so you have people that basically have the same username under the current system but which were different under the old layout. Oh, and if you try to do pass recovery with that email address now you'll only be able to get one account, the other one, if you ever forget the password, will be LOST FOREVER... or until you fill out a General Inquiry form.

teh CB WhiteJoker teh CB o hai there. My sister and I are rewatching Fushigi Yuugi, and we think you should, too. We've even made this handy pie chart so you know what to expect:  I recall one episode where Tamahome and Miaka spend something like 15 ******** minutes saying one another's names over and over again while it switches back and forth between their close up face shots. Man, that falls into, like, four categories xd Did modsis tell you about how we were joking around that if we go to Fanime next year, we would be Miaka and Yui and force you to dress up as Tamahome xp No, I also don't have the hair for it. You need to be closer to modsis so I can send her to snug you adorably!

So...should I fill out the General Inquiry Form even though it's not my account? I'm still getting the "Your account has been locked" emails for Moonfoxmagic, and it's really starting to get annoying. I just can't figure out who would use MY email address for their account.
