wafflezinmahpantz Hey Pasta wafflezinmahpantz I think I'm just gonna move to Concord, go to Diablo Valley for two years and stalk BD, and then transfer to Berkeley. But everyone's gonna be like, ooh, you're going to a JC, how loser-ish sad Eh, screw 'em. I'm going into my fourth year at a JC 'cause I can't make up my damn mind about where I want to go or what I want to do. JCs are generally cheaper, and they're not that bad. =) That's good to hear. sweatdrop Do you do major stuff or is it just general ed stuff? One of the JCs around here has an even better music professor than the one at San Jose State, which is hilarious. I've heard that Berkeley is not very good for music... I don't know if this is true or not, since I don't go there. But I hear complaints about the general atmosphere of their music department, and how the program doesn't get enough attention. And Berkeley destroys people. Everyone I know who goes there is miserable, but believes it's worth it for the prestige. ...Then again I'm biased, since I was rejected 4 years ago. But I'm glad about it - I ended up meeting the love of my life and I'm happily surrounded by fuzzy yellow ducklings. And I'm a rock star. My music was performed in Fresno last weekend. (Suck it, Berkeley! MADE IN DAVIS.)

The two people I know at Berkeley really seem to like it, but I've heard stories from other people about it being not-so-great. ...and haha, I know a ton and a half of people who are at Davis or going to Davis, and they all love it/are thrilled that they got accepted.
waffz - you can focus on a major or just do general ed. Gen ed is a good idea especially if you don't know what you want to major in, but even if you do know what you want as your major, it doesn't hurt to get it out of the way - chances are, you'll change your mind on your major at least once. ;o They can have really good instructors and clubs and such, too. =) Last year, my school managed to get Albert Ghioroso to come give a presentation to our science club - that THAT, Cal Poly. ;o (They were invited, but didn't bother to show up.)

...Go Tritons? @__@ I'll get an ocean view from my dorm building, so nyeh.
Also, I hate testing week. Long advisory periods in the heat make me want to go to sleep. gonk At least it'll be easy and I probably won't have homework.

So we hit Brother Jed Smock in the face with a water balloon today. I think this means MSU wins the most awesome University on Earth award.

Woo, okay. Maybe this won't suck after all. sweatdrop @Sirius - Berkeley's not my number one for music... or the prestige. I just really like what it's got going over there - the a capella groups, its location, has all the majors I'm interested in, etc. I might be happy at Davis too, but I'm pretty sure I won't get accepted there either (bad grades sweatdrop )

Why? Why can't my mom shut up? I told her I was trying to play a game. I told her I couldn't hear her (or understand her when I could). I even shut my door, even though it is way too ******** hot to be holed in this stifling room. So why the ******** can't she get it through her head that I don't like the sound of her voice as much as she does?

The good news: I bought a new MacBook Pro 4 days before my HP laptop decided to die. (Today.)
The bad news: My external HD now cannot be read by my Mac OR my PC, and I can't pull the files directly off the PC to transfer over to my Mac anymore, because it's dead.
I am freaking out about this. My music is gone too - my concert's in a month, I don't have time for this s**t... I'm not even done composing my pieces yet, how am I supposed to do that if I can't even access the scores?
I hope VirtualLab works... why does everything cost so much money? And the whole POINT of having a ******** external is to back things up for when your computer takes a sick day, not to ALSO stop working around the same time...

Wow, religious fundamentalists are quite fun. Today's lovely comments lead to the creation of the logical proof that you should in fact eat the Bible.
