Where's the 'Miaka running away into enemy hands, AGAIN'? Is that the white space?

teh CB o hai there. My sister and I are rewatching Fushigi Yuugi, and we think you should, too. We've even made this handy pie chart so you know what to expect: PS - it's modsister's birthday tomorrow! Wish her one! I recall one episode where Tamahome and Miaka spend something like 15 ******** minutes saying one another's names over and over again while it switches back and forth between their close up face shots.

Man, that falls into, like, four categories xd Did modsis tell you about how we were joking around that if we go to Fanime next year, we would be Miaka and Yui and force you to dress up as Tamahome xp Tweedle: Aha, yeah, that can be in the white space.. or maybe slightly overlay with the plot. The chart is very flexible. Also, maybe I should add a section of "Miaka feeling self righteous but is really just an ANNOYING DUMB b***h YOU WANT TO SLAP IN THE FACE," and divide the "Men fawning over Miaka" into that and "Number of times you think OH GOD WOULD YOU JUST MAKE OUT WITH TAMAHOME ALREADY."

Rae x Rae I love how Doctor Logical's gone from "I have watched over 500 anime!" to "I've watched over 3000 anime! It's all mainstream to me!" in like, the space of two and a half months.
If you have an average of 24 20-minute episodes per series (he's watched long shows like Ranma as well), that would take 1,000 full days. That's about two and a half years. Those extra 2000+ series I highly doubt were just a miscalculation.
And he wonders why most people don't believe him. I pretty much ignore everything that he says. Occasionally he makes a good point, but not often enough to make up for his sheer idiocy.

'Kay, since I know there are Slayers fans here... (obvious), I have a question: How far is Luna Inverse's power proven? Because isn't there a lot that we can presume we haven't heard, and then paired with the fact that Lina's scared of her, can be matched to equal that she could possibly be more powerful than Lina?

Luna's a knight of Cephied. Remember how Shabranigdo's got pieces of his soul in various individuals, most notably Rezo? She's like that, but with Cephied. This translates out to making her absurdly strong, like on the level of Xellos, if not above. And, as with Xellos, overall she's absurdly stronger than Lina (with the given exception of Lina's nuke-all-of-reality-back-to-nothingness spell). I went to Wikipedia to check a few things I remember, and the examples there (cutting a dragon slave in half with a non-magic sword and killing a dragon with a kitchen knife) put her well above Lina. Pretty much all of this is in the novels, though, and not the series. I don't think that even there they've showed Luna actually doing anything aside from terrorizing Lina by name alone. XD

XD What he said. And let's not forget that the Giga Slave has its own set of issues concerning it's use (summoning the Lord of Nightmares to their world etc etc). I think all things aside, Luna knew that Lina had a huge destiny ahead of her, and needed to make sure that Lina would be able to do what she needed to do AND survive. And, let's face it, Lina really started it all by showing pics of Luna naked in the shower to the local boys. xd That was never in the anime series, I think it either came out in the novels or the manga. I don't quite remember where I read that. But, I DO have a picture of Luna...

Based on Meet Again, the designs seem as strong as ever.

Wow, Funi's first 13 episodes of One Piece Uncut at Amazon for $22. That seems quite reasonable at over 50% off. I noticed many of Viz's later similar sets of Naruto have similar discounts.
(I'm hoping the fact that Naruto is similarly discounted means that One Piece hasn't already become economically unfeasible for Funi.)
