With every door slam I wonder if it's my ride to the potluck.
...however, it is community garage sale weekend. I am oft wrong. My friends are over a half hour late.

Fuahahahaha.... My inner-chef was calling yesterday! I made Dashimaki Tamago. domokun I had bought the rectangular pan recommended for it at the end of May but hadn't had the motivation to make it until yesterday. Boy, was it a success! It turned out tasting extremely authentic. I would therefore highly recommend this recipe if you're interested in making it yourself! 3nodding Pictures are here: One and two.

I find that sooooooooo hard to make ;-; Maybe if I got a rectangular pan, that'd help, but I think I just lack the finesse regardless xd
The tattered remains, however, always taste delicious.

The tattered remains, however, always taste delicious. What was difficult about it for you? I know I definitely had a hard time flipping it, especially in the beginning. The rectangular pan I have though helped a lot with that once I figured out how to properly utilize the slanted lip at the back of it (slide the omelet to the very edge and flip with a spatula). A lot of recipes I've seen said it's okay to use a round pan but I imagine that might complicate the flipping (and the end shape of the omelet) a lot. sweatdrop I bet it's possible though as long as you don't care too much about what it looks like. I know I don't as long as it tastes good. wink

I might get a rectangular one too, but right now I've got $135 to last me till September, and that needs to cover Disneyland, AX, airport food, a gift for my grandfather, and a date (or three) with Kin. Even if I got one super-cheap... I'd have to give up food for a month for it xd

(Really can't remember whether you've finished or not. Yay@memoryfail.) I get to move all my crap when I go home since I'll be there for like 2 months, and really want my TV/Wii there >.>

Mine was actually only $5 at a Japanese grocery store in Sacramento. I'm sure you could find something similar if you have any Japanese grocery stores in your area (or somewhat close to your area) back home. 3nodding heart If all else fails, I'll just have to make some for you if I can manage it again :minixD:. wink
