She nodded, she sent the strangling out and slowly it started in a circle. She smiled and was doing her best to keep it up. She kept telling herself if her parents and her entire family could do it. She would NOT dissapoint their memories. She tightened her grip and had to scold herself when the circle became sloppy. She forcused her green eyes loosing thier glint as she went back to the circle.

She did so. She felt a finger slip but recovered quickly recoverd. She had a line of sweat forming around her face and on her back as she kept it up. " well...loosening, spreading out the power to more area is harder..." She said almost glaring at the block as Cimorene poked herself out of her hair and sniffed at Jazen chittering softly.

Jazen held out her hand to the bat and chittered in response, then looked at her student. "You need to work on you power. You have great concentration, and a great will. you just need practice, and to learn how to organize your power. Keep practicing the loose circle. We'll try spirals after that."

Cimorene crawled out more to sniff Jazen's hand and licked it chittering still. Laela took a new breath and went back to the loose circle. She tightened her hands to try and compose her power behind the circle. She saw the circle become uniform and set as she smiled some keeping it up.

jazen gently raised her hand until Cimorene was level with her face. She chittered very softly, and let the samll bat crawl into her hair. She smiled in approval as the circle became perfect. "Widen the circle. More. More. A little more... there." She watched as the cords extended a bit, so that the bloke almost touched the ground at the bottom of it's rotation. "keep it like that."

Rain watched as Temne and Silver spared then she would glance towards Laela and the Teacher she did not know yet. Her blue eyes flicked down towards her sword as her fingers ran over the crimson ruby. She wanted to do something besides stand there and watch right now, but she would be patient.

Jazen looked at Rain. "keep the circle like that." she said, and walked over to the half-vampire. "You can use swords and scythes, right?"

She panted softly as she did so the sweat pouring down her face and back as she worked to keep this going without any physical power all the inner power. Cimorene snuggled int the silver hair cheeping happily and snuggled itno Jazen's neck. Laela smiled as this became more uniform but not as much as the other had.

Rain Blinked and looked at the teacher who approached her." Yes Ma'am." she answered in her quite voice, her eyes seemed to sparkle with excitement.

"It's nothing to worry about." she replied to Teme.
She turned to watch the sparring session, with some amusement.
So it's Silver providing the demonstration, she thought and her opponant is only a student, will she manage to hold back? she pondered the last question and decided that the answer was no.

"Good." she said. She looked at Rain, and smiled. "one minute."
she turned to Laela and said, "Now that you know how to spin it forward, I want you to angle the cords so that they spin above and around you. You might want to try it with the stranglers first. If you lose concentration, the cutting cords may hurt you."
She turned her focus to Rain. "Attack me." she said, holding a scimitar in one hand. She brandished her whip in the other.

Rain now wished she had her scythe with her so she could use it, and she didn't exactly know how to summon it to her yet. She pulled her sword out of the hilt. The long black blade Glinted in the sun light, She swung it back behind her the large hole down the middle cause a high pitched whistling noise. Her blue eyes focused on the teacher, shivering when she saw the silver whip, she ran at her strait on but when she was feet away she swerved to her left. She brought her sword forward so it would either graze the teachers side if she couldn't block, or hit the teachers arm.
