you know you're a band geek when you notice that the band says the same phrases as the band director all the time (has this happened to anybody else because i find it strange xD)

You conduct most of the songs you listen to.....and you're not a drum major or band director. I've been getting into a habit of this but it's been waring off.

You know your a band geek when....
You thought that your instrument was too good for its case so you carry it around at all times.
You got sick of getting your instrument confused with other people who play the same instrument(especially since you play it all the time so you never know whose instrument your playing) so you put duct tape on the whole case
LOL BOTH of these has happened to me..... sweatdrop

You know your a band nerd if you played a high G instead of the C for the fun of it.
Believe me, I did it for fun, cuz it sounded cooler with a G (on the Trumpet). sweatdrop

a false fire alarm goes off and everyone makes
a song from the beat..lmao!! xDDDDD
our ENTIRE band made a whole song to our
fire drill bell...IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!! d:
also, you know you're a band nerd when...
you write out entire stories in all your music
and you know you're a BIGGER band nerd when...
you make compilations out of the stories that you
have written in all your music to make different
chapters that create a whole unified novel!!
i actually do this all the time..this past concert
i made a whole story out of the songs we played
which was about my friend andrea and a gazel
blaugh

bella-milano you know you're a band geek when you notice that the band says the same phrases as the band director all the time (has this happened to anybody else because i find it strange xD) When you have a Facebook group dedicated to that phrase that your band director says all the time that everyone quotes in the band. Yeah, our BD says "One more time!" and then we know we are going to do our drill that we just did at least six more times and that is why we have that group on Facebook xp .

Because the director's psycho wife yelled at the pit that we can't sit because the band can't. So now we apparently can't sit down at all. Ever. rolleyes

You know you're a band geek when you can easily take over for your conductor in case of emergency to one or more songs....
Totally Guilty.
You know you're a band geek when you can help a trumpet player with a note when you play the sax (me)!
and one more....
You know every person in the band is a band geek when you can start a song and play it right even without a director.
Funny story for that, actually. ( ^ ) We had 'Stand By Me' in my Jazz Band at school for two years and everyone loved it. One day, the director had an important call to make so he went to the phone. The Trombone player started playing his bass line, and the trumpets joined in. Then the saxophones (including me =D) went along, and soon enough every person in the bad started the song. We actually sounded pretty good! Our teacher looked up from the phone and started laughing =P
