Kushina had nodded, agreeing wordlessly to stay in Draqueen, but she had rather hoped she would have been able to leave, one of the biggest of those reasons being the exact same why Aiketh wanted her around; stopping Jett if that... thing came back.
Grimacing softly at the thought, Kushina knew that she wouldn't ever be able to, or indeed want to resort to what she had used earlier. It was unthinkable. "Right!" Smiling brightly, seemingly easy and without a shadow of tension (all well-hidden far down), Kushina slapped her hands together and stood up, giving Illusia and Jett a smile in turn.
"I'll leave you two to your duties, my Lord, Illusia. I'll just go hit something with my giant sword and call it training, for want of distraction, as need binds me from the full exersize of my duties. Have fun!" Waving a hand, Kushina breezed out, easily sounding and seeming much taller and heavier than she was as she barged through the corridors with exersize in mind. And if she was going to be in Draqueen for a foreseeable future, finding a fluffy little thing for a companion might not be a bad idea. Besides, she was sure a kitten would work while on the road, too.

((Hey, just out of curiosity, what time is in in the rp, anyway? I think it was summer [or early fall? or late spring? idk, really.] and the sun's gone down. I kept thinking that it was nine or so at night by now... but that's because I'm used to the sun setting at 7:30 in the summer and I figured a little over an hour had gone by. I just realized I could be wayyyy off, though.
So, yeah. Just curious. sweatdrop ))

((XD I think it's summer/spring too, but here, it would be light way far into the evening and even night, depending on how close you are to Midsummer. But yeah. Doesn't really matter, does it? Sun's down. xD
Anyone mind we jump to the next day, or is there anything else that some characters are involved in for the night? ... Except Kushina being crazy and deciding she can train in the evening, that is. And I'm not sure she just "forgot" about what time it is (I know I did, but I think Kushina would be strange enough to decide to train in the evening/night... Oo; ))

((Okay, I have another question regarding the rp. gonk I lost the date for the wedding. Does anyone remember when it was supposed to be? I've been combing through the pages here, but I can't seem to find it... I was thinking it was in one week or two weeks or something that sounded like that... gonk
Also I'm really, really sorry but I have no patience and I'm just gonna go ahead and post for the next morning but I'll move it to a later post or something if I need to because this is driving me up the wall and it's summer and I have nothing to doooo~ *whining*))
By the time the sun rose, rising from the eastern ocean and passing above the shores of Dusis, the Dragon Castle was already awake, figures scurrying about with their daily work. The castle never fully slept these days; there were always guards stationed on duty and patrolling the grounds. The morning was breaking calm, but with enough low wet clouds for a promise of rain later on.
Ana had been dressed and at work along with the other maids since the only light slipping in from outside was dull and gray. She was more tired this morning than usual but she barely noticed it. She bit her lip as she carried laundry down the halls of the castle, unable to stop the unusually giddy smile from spreading across her face.
There were creases under Ana's eyes; she had gotten back to the castle rather late and hadn't been able to fall asleep for at least another hour after slipping into bed. Now that she thought back on it in the fresh light of day it all seemed rather silly. She had been so frightened of something and yet she hadn't been able to name what. All her thoughts now kept revolving back to her night out with Liozu. Was it too strange that she hoped so dearly to be able to catch a glimpse of him between her chores? Oh, she didn't want him to see her. The mere thought sent a flicker of panic through her body. She wasn't ready for that!
Nieth strode through the castle, her long skirts rustling about her feet as she headed towards Micoi's chambers. It was early morning and time to wake the young woman... or at the very least shake her awake long enough to tell her a little more about life in Dragoon before rushing off to attend to her own duties. Things were so hectic nowadays.
Knocking briskly on the door, Nieth entered, bustling past Micoi's bed and throwing open her curtains to the early morning light. "It's time to get up, my lady. Come on, get out of bed. You can go back to sleep in a few minutes if you want, but if you'd like to go see the Dragon Fighters you'll have to get ready now."

((ack, long. I'm sorry. >.>)) Celia was already awake, even earlier than usual when she hear the castle begin to come to life. She had gotten home after dinner with Baran, really quite happy...Of course, happiness never stunted her curiosity. She and Kahaku had spent the two hours following their return in the library, pouring over the journal, until the Knight fell asleep amongst the dust-laced books.
She hadn't slept particularly well, however. She spent more or less all of her time sleeping arguing with that man with the glasses, and the woman in white. Why wouldn't they just let her sleep? Why did they have to keep her awake? Celia sat up in the library, trying to remember what the whole conversation had been about...~~~~~ "Celia, what are you worrying about?"He adjusted his glasses again, and then swept through his hair with his hand once more...Were they habbits...? "I don't know...I don't know if any of them can actually help me...but mother said they could. So I'm going to try...Maybe someone will know what to do..."Celia was pacing. Again. She had been doing a lot of that. "Celia dear, sit down..."the woman's sharp eyes were kind, very concerned about her..."I can't sit down! Every time you two show up, something weird happens! At least those other two haven't been around lately..."She mumbled the last part to herself, almost as though she didn't want them to hear.
"Well, they...Are relatively preoccupied,"Apparently he had heard her after all. "...You seem even more distracted than usual...Is something else bothering you?""I don't know...I just...I've been studying with Kahaku so much! I expected that it would have gotten a little smaller, maybe..."She gestured to the dark space. It was just a looming as ever."...You don't enjoy the books for the sake of finding things out anymore...? Does something need to have a function for you to take pleasure in it...?"That wispy voice...Her eyes moved fluidly over to the man with the glasses, but she said little else."...No. I just...I had hoped...It might have been a nice bonus..."Said Celia, slowing her pacing considerably. That reminded her, of course, that the woman had spoken to her when she let Kahaku out...and then again...Now she wanted to know how, and why."...That, should be left for another night,"said the woman, as she stood up. She smiled a little...This time it was different from the last...Even a little warmer... "Another night? So you just aren't going to answer me...?"Celia sighed...Oh well...She sat down on the floor, finally stopping her pacing. "Go on then, get a little rest before you have to wake up,"He seemed concerned for her...That was nice of him...Celia nodded...Her eyelids did feel heavy...She rubbed her eyes, and looked at her hands. She was semi-transparent...Oh...She was going back to proper sleep again...She had finally gotten used to this transition...
"Well..Good night then..."She mumbled, just before she dissappeared completely."...I think she'll be alright," The room remained. The woman with the cross on her forehead seemed a little bit happy, almost. "...Will she? What happens when she remembers?"The man with the glasses didn't seem to share the sentiment."...Then we will see if she was the right one to save,"With that, the woman walked out of the room.~~~~~ Celia hadn't heard the last few lines of conversation as actual words...More as a kind of muffled sound in the distance. No matter how hard she tried to make them out, it was useless...That was when her stomach made a rather odd noise...She was hungry.
"Come on Kahaku, lets go get something to eat..."She said, picking the sleeping dragon up off the floor where he was curled up. She straightened herself out a little, figuring she could change her clothes after she ate.
'Alright, alright...'Even the little water dragon sounded tired. Celia smiled. Apparently, he hadn't slept too well either. Oh well, at least it wasn't just her...She slipped the Journal back onto its shelf, and walked out of the library.

EDIT/Quoteith Nadil: Neith first wanted the date to be as far away as possible, something like a 6 months away or so, but that Illusia and Jett discussed an earlier one to make amends for the completely trashed welcome party for Micoi. ^^; ))

Kushina had early, especially considering she'd been attacking training dummies until late last evening, decended upon the yawning Dragon Fighters and their training like a plauge of locusts... if a plague could consist of one person. She rather cheerfully proceeded to oversee their training and personally have short, demostrative bouts with any Fighter that seemed to have trouble with anything in particular.
For having gotten so little sleep, Kushina was disgustingly cheerful. The problem was, rather, that she hadn't gone to sleep at all, and was now running around on cheer force and smiles. She'd just sleep really hard and long come this night.
Empress, in Liozu's body, had been among the really early risers (compared to Kushina, who hadn't been sleeping at all), and been wandering the castle's nooks and crannies to continue her disrupted task from yesterday. She'd briefly left for the garden, then wandered in and caught a maid with the instruction of giving the handful of flowers to Ana.
Such a small, brief gesture would probably be well recieved, for all that it was a negible, passing thing. Most females were suspectible of such shows of affection, in Empress' experience. Yes, even youkai. But with those, you wouldn't leave flowers... at least not flowers like these, which were perfectly ordinary and just had a sweet, pleasing scent.
With a soft chuckle, Empress left the wine cellars and wandered out into the gardens to continue her work, still irritated and out-of-sorts for being unable to wear the sorts of clothes she wanted to wear; long, flowing dresses with a healthy bit of slit and cleavage. Unfortunately, Liozu wasn't such a male that was... "feminine" enough to get away with anything but the most obscurely "feminine"-like clothing. And so she was stuck in boring pants and shirts, though she'd managed with a pair of thight pants under a stiff, skirt-like thing that had a slit from hem to hip on the right side, leaving that leg free for easy movement. It would have to do.

((Gee, I HATE this. Yep, this is Jenny, Jin, Nadil using her older sister's account to post... because I have yet to get a reply or help from Gaia with my account. >__< .__.So, yeah, here's Micoi. =D))
When light suddenly flooded the room, Micoi jerked somewhat and curled up, her senses probably trying to dispell the horrid thing that was glaring at her. As expected, it didn't work. At the first sound of Neith's, the Queen-to-be just grunted softly but when the Head Maid finished speaking, the younger dragon had been able to sit herself up quite swiftly anyway. By the looks of it she was partly awake at least.
"Uhn... Neeeiiith... Can' I jus order 'em to 'rain later?" she asked, making half sense. "Or am I not "official" enough yet?" she mumbled before dragging herself to the edge of the mattress. Saying that their future Lady was not a morning person was NOT to exaggerate. A good question was if her unwillingness to wake up would later, after the Lord and Lady began sharing a room and bed, cause the Dragon Emperor to be later in the morning too...
Illusia was not as morning tired as their future empress consort, no, but he did prefer to sleep a bit longer than the rest of the castle. However, once awake, or awakened, he was up. Right now, though, he was sleeping in his room, having sat up with Jett quite late the previous evening and planning... one of them being the wedding. And damn, he had not been able to bring up Neith's request to have it placed as late as possible.

"You'll have to discuss the matter with the Black Dragon Officer," Nieth said crisply, now opening Micoi's closet doors. "I believe she likes them to begin their training before breakfast so that they will have more time later in the day for their actual duties."
Turning back to the bed, she smiled at Micoi's sleepy movements and slow yawn.
"So, honey, would you like to practice sparring with them again today or would you rather I just talk to you for a few minutes and then let you finish up your beauty rest."
Aiketh had, of course, been awake as early as the rest of the castle since she was the one to give a brief inspection of the Dragon Fighters and make certain that none of them were skipping practice or sleeping in.
That done, however, she was back in her chambers, pacing her floor. It was very unsettling. The previous night the seer Madiir had turned her away, telling her that it was impossible for him to do a fully accurate reading at the time. His cards had been tainted as he was doing a reading for one of the maids after Micoi's disasterous banquet and they were still being purified. He had given her a short fortunetelling on the Dragon Lord's condition, but it was cryptic and not at all clear and had promised her a full one in the morning.
The cards, however, had given a warning and that was what was making her so tense. Madiir had said that although the reading had been given to a maid inquiring about her upcoming date, he thought that it might have really been a warning about an upcoming danger to the castle itself. Either way, a presense so demonic as to blacken and charr the purified cards was a clear threat. Aiketh shook her head, feeling a headache start to form behind her eyes. She had only gotten a few minutes of sleep at her desk last night as she tried to piece together all the information. The cards hadn't been speaking of Lord Jett or the curse upon him, had they? She bit her lip as she thought about it once more. It seemed too uncanny to be mere cooincidence.
Aiketh shook her head once more, tightly pulled back hair waving behind her. She was getting nowhere; her thoughts were getting so tired as to be merely wandering in circles.
Walking to her door, she made up her mind: she would find Illusia and tell him about it. He knew Lord Jett well and, more importantly, he had stayed with him the previous night.

((=DDD A dress, Kami! A dress!))
"I wanna... watch them fight," was Neith's reply, the speaker looking at the other woman with only one eye open. She was not yet completely awake but she was getting there. "What did you want to talk to me about anyway?" Micoi asked, tilting her head to the side and making it look like it would fall off the neck any minute... like a worn, old doll hanging on strings.
((.... XDDD (For) Kami... She should just get in bed with him and sleep instead of trying to wake him up. Hee hee. Ne, Kami? ^.~))

((Nadil: Oh, of course. <3;;;;; Actually, I wrote that, then was about to delete it and have her go look for Kushina since she's the more logical choice... then decided to keep it since that never crossed Aiketh's mind anyway. XD))
Nieth gave a bemused shake of her head at Micoi's sleepy expression and stopped going through the queen-to-be's clothes. "Honey, are you really awake yet?" She laughed slightly, starting to slip Micoi from her nightdress. "I'm going to be busy for much of the day, so I thought I should ask you now if there was anything you wanted to know about the castle or the Dragon Clan. I also wanted to know how your meeting with Lord Jett yesterday went," she added in a more business-like voice, leaving Micoi's side to retrive a short light dress from where it hung.
The dress was made out of a clingy sea-green material trimmed with clear stones that shimmered in the light. Its straight hem line reached to a little above the knee, but had two slits up the sides that went several inches higher. Its long sleeves ended in two points at the wrists where more of the little stones were clustered in a diamond shape. It had a low, square neckline that promised to show off the upper two inches of the wearer's chest.
"I thought this might be more to your liking if you were going to be so active. If not, there are a couple blouses and I fixed one of the pairs of pants to your measurements, but if you want more variety you'll need to give me a couple days."

((Kami... o.o *blink, blink, stare* .... *-* *just got a nice picture in her head and while it migth not be the exact same version that Micoi is to wear it is inspired by it* It's perfect. I'll have to draw it later. Might use it as base (partly) or something for my elfish fashion in my original world that I'm writing a story for. ^^ Thank you.))
"I'm awake, yeah, sure," she agreed. "Just gimmie a bucket of cold water and I'm almost there," she said as she stretched and then got off the bed.
At Neith's following words, a gloom seemed to descend over Micoi, something like "great, now you just ruined the promise of a good day". "What do you think? It went to hell," she said, unknowingly almost qutoing Jett's own words to Kushina the day before. Taking a look at the dress, Micoi quickly changed the subject and smiled. "That's a really nice dress. I like it. It reminds me somewhat of the things I used to wear the few times I had a chance to wear something more... extravagant in Arinas," she said with a smile, making it seem like those times had been very few and far apart. One could only wonder what she had been doing with most of her time there anyway. Had she only been fighting other youkai and training with Kanak? How much more... "intellectual" education had she gotten anyway? How much knowledge and proficiency of the world and in the fine arts did she have?
((... They really know nothing about her... >.> ^^; Kami: XD; You did? Haha. We think alike. >.>))

((Nadil: <333 Yay! I thought of it and was reminded of you/Micoi. <3))
Nieth smiled at Micoi's comment on the dress and seemingly decided to skip over what she said about the previous night... for now at least.
"I'm glad you like it, honey. I found it stored away and brought it out here last night. I thought it might be something you'd appreciate. It reminded me of the dress you showed up in," she said, helping Micoi to shimmy into it. The material, while clingy, did stretch and it wasn't long before the young woman had it on.

((XD Ah, I see.))
You could practically see Micoi's face shine up (and become more awake ^^; ) as she gave it a twirl and the skirt flared lightly around her knees. "That was elf fashion," she said happily. "Have you had any elves at court before?" she questioned, eyes shining on Neith now that she was more or less completely awake.
((Oh, btw... >.>; Should I post something with Illusia or should she walk to his room? ... Is it just me or is this the feeling of deja vu? XDDD *laughs* Haven't we had this scene (Aiketh walking in the wake Illusia) once? *snickers*))
