Anybody have any good ideas for a good marching horn? I get the Dynasty Professional Marching Horn, in the middle of september from the Drum Corps, but up until then I have to use my crappy student horn (no other way to describe it). The look I don't care about, but my valves are a mess, it plays well, but the valves, omg.....
When we went to Paris/London for the parades and festivals, I used my Strad for the parade because our jazz band was invited to play as well, for royalty, and I needed my good horn for that. I did also use it for our home show, when some kid from another school's horn broke, and I lent him my Dynasty, and used my Strad, but I really prefer not to use my horn.....
So I'm trying to find a decent horn that I can use as a backup, and for band camp, thats on the cheap end of the range (ebay works too). I don't care about looks, but it has to be well built, and be able to handle a very demanding lead part. Our shows are built around the lead trumpets' ranges, so the ability for me to use my full range with ease is needed. Anybody got any ideas???

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance...
I have a stupid Yamaha. When I got it, I was like, "Don't they make ATVs?"
I'm working on getting another one.
OH WELL, I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO USE THE HAROLD TRUMPET AT SCHOOL... rolleyes cool
... In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace, what did they produce? The cuckoo clock.
