As so many times before however, invisibility would prove to be a tricky thing. Appearances weren't always what they seemed, and the Kecleon was long and away out of range of the Snover's attack. The Kecleon was strong and swift, plenty used to fighting creatures many times stronger then himself. Fighting the Snover was essentially a cake-walk for this highly adaptable Pokemon. Once the Powder Snow had run it's course, the Kecleon would reveal himself once more, and launch himself upon his opponent almost immediately. Claws outstretched, he aimed to Scratch his opponent just as he had every other time.

Again, the Kecleon had dodged Snover's attack. This wasn't going the way how Snover and Six anticipated. Now they were on the defensive. The Kecleon had disappered once more and moved out of the way. All but the red strip was invisible.

 "Snover, move!!"

Snover jumped out of the way dodging Kecleon's attack. This whole battle had seemed like attack, dodge, attack, dodge, going on and on. This pattern had soon to break. The only question was who was going to get attacked, and by who?

Snover HP: 5The Snover had indeed attempted to dodge the Kecleon, and succeeded in evading that first set of claws... unfortunately, that same motion carried him towards the Kecleon's other arm. In an instant the reptiles nails would dig into the Snover's bark-like flesh, leaving a deep gash. Darting back, the Kecleon would uncoil his long supple tongue and lick some of the Snover's thick, sap-like blood from his claws. The first strike in this new struggle was his it would seem.

Skin changing colour, the Kecleon would once more become invisible to the naked eye; all save for the red stripe across his stomach...and now the blood dripping off his left hand.

The Cacnea's first hit wouldn't be able to crack through his opponent's tough skin as he smirks lightly ......it was only a first strike afterall ....as he bounds backwards a bit. The electricity still sparking in his limb ....as he shook it hard to let it bounce about striking the ground and one of the nearby ...real cactus in his movement.

The pokemon was simply showing off before he took a few steps forward and came again at his opponent with another ......Thunderpunch.

After the first hit, Artemis was certainly expecting the second one… She knew enough about battles to know that it was her opponent’s turn to attack, and she was to expect something powerful… So that way, she was always determined to avoid the hit.
The Skarmory watched the Cacnea closely, trying to predict his every move… After some showing off, he attacked. Artemis was ready for it, and was able to dodge it just in time… The Cacnea was quick. She had to be careful, but she knew she was quicker. And now it was her turn to attack again. All in one swift movement, she dodged and turned to face the Cacnea, aiming her beak for his chest. Hopefully, she wouldn’t miss this time.

The Cacnea missed as he turned around swiftly. He knew how these things worked as he looked for the Skarmory to attack almost as quickly as he missed ...twist on one leg. He brought his own hands together and allowed the electricity to sparkle in them ...hoping that would be enough to make the pokemon pause to hesitate so that he could avoid that deadly beak. Afterall, it was only a fool that didn't recognize the danger and the deadliness of such a attack from that sort of bird.
A Skarmory is known for it's tough skin and deadly beak.

(17-2) + (9-8 ) = 16 dmg? This was it… This was the attack that would possibly end it all. The Skarmory’s beak pierced the Cacnea’s skin, and soon the blood was gushing out… It was running down her beak and making a mess, but what glorious feeling it was. In that moment, she didn’t have a care in the world… She had almost forgotten that she was in a battle. But she realized that if she hadn’t killed the Cacnea yet, or at least knocked it out, it would be coming at her for revenge. So she backed away, still amused by all of the blood she was able to draw from her opponent. Skarmory - ArtemisLvl:3/Bold

The cacnea would feel that attack for only a few moments as his life would shudder out in one quick moment. Completely run through by that beak as it left him ...with a gapping wound in his middle ...how she thought he would be able to come back at him again was hard to figure out. But, with a single quick movement ...he would collapse to the ground in a single movement ...and those Cacnea that had been backing him would jump at the result.

Within a matter of moments, the group that had surrounded Celeste would vanish as they quickly tried to run away from the entire thing.

The path would finally be clear.

The Cacnea was dead… Celeste had killed her first pokemon… Not directly, but it was her Skarmory that delivered the deathly blow. She never thought in a million years that she would be responsible for a pokemon’s death…
She looked over at Artemis and saw the look of amusement in her eyes, and the blood running down her neck, and for a moment, Celeste was disgusted… But the Skarmory was still young, she could still learn… Learn to control herself. Celeste called Artemis back to her pokeball, and tried to clean off the Cacnea. She didn’t have the proper tools to bury him, so she left him there. She hoped that his comrades would return and take him away. Hands bloody and a guilty conscience, she continued on. It was time to face a new environment.

 Island Center - Void

In the center of the island ...one would expect to find trees, rocks, or maybe an plain, but in the center of this island ....one would find water. Like someone had taken a huge cookie cutter, and cut the center of the island out ...to leave nothing but ocean in it's wake. This is the place called the Void. A huge expansion of water that is so big that one couldn't in ten days walk around it all. Though, like the majority of this island, the center is quite weird. In the midst of the water are stones that one could jump upon like stepping stones that go towards the middle of that watery area. Then there are the rocks that float in the area above it. Stones that are the size of small cars floating above arching in a pattern that one could only say ....goes towards the heavens. How far those stones may go, only someone brave enough would dare to try and figure out. Then there under the water, the water so dark and murky that one couldn't help wondering what is underneath it.

Though there is rumors that under the water ...the truth of what happen to this island rest. This is the area of the void, and the trainer must choose which way to go up, straight, or down. Three paths .....with only one easily accessible.

((Pick your path, and any rolls from 11 -20 will be an encounter. Also a roll of a 1 will be a surprise encounter))

Celeste had reached the very heart of this place now.....after that kill. Though what path she would choose was completely up to her ..up, straight, or down.

Celeste had finally reached the center of the island. It had taken her a while, but this was it. Of course, she had to wonder how she would get back to the academy, but she could worry about that later... For now, she had more exploring to do.
There was 3 paths to choose from, and each of them didn't look very inviting, but she had to choose one. She could only hold her breath for so long before needing to come back up for air, so diving into the water was out of the question. Going straight forwards seemed too... easy. So that left her with one path to choose... Upwards. And so she got up onto the first rock and kept going, kind of like she was climbing a long flight of stairs.
((Oh, and how much exp was gained?))

Maybe she should have chosen a different path... This one required a lot of energy... Energy that she had already used climbing and descending walls, and running around. But it was too late to turn around now... She was already up high, and turning around would waste time, and even more energy, so she kept going.

The clouds will seem to pass around her as she got higher and higher. THe sun shining downwards on her seemed to grow brighter and brighter as she climbed upwards towards her goal. Though what was she hoping to find the air was a question left only to herself.

Celeste could feel the sweat forming on her forehead. Not only was this climbing exhausting, but the sun was also beaming down on her. The rocks couldn't go on forever, right? They would have to end eventually... And with that in mind, Celeste kept going, sure that she would reach... whatever there was after these rocks finished, eventually. ((Right, 11-20. sweatdrop ))
