Shitai'ei is a little rattled, but otherwise is just fine. Rai'o, however, has a huge lump on his head where he hit the ground.
"Ugh..." he mutters. "What kind of cheaters are they?!"

Just ahead is a mountain! Do you go over it, or around it? You can pass between the twin peaks there...

I attempt the rare and dangerous x2 ring combo. If rings are powered by spirit, and I have a ring that controls spirit, why not try to use it to make my earth ring tunnel faster!

The Indigo Ring glows brightly, which in turn causes the Green Ring to glow brighter! Suddenly, you rocket off, your arm feeling like it's going to rip apart from the sudden speed coming from your middle finger! Mashai'i and Nashai'o look at you in surprise as you rocket past them.
Atlanta:
You can easily make it through, even with Mihi'o hanging from your talons. However, that hole in the mountain seems to be getting bigger...quite odd.

"That's the power of ring combos, baby!" I shout out to my two patrons in a catchphrase like fashion in the hopes that they cna hear me as I continue forth. Seems like this race helped me discover some advanced techniques at least!

Manra is glad that Shitai'ei is, for the most part alright, and gently strokes the sore spot, hoping it didn't make it worse. "I am not sure, but... that's psychology for you. Really, it doesn't matter who ...finishes first or second, or even last, in a race. It should only matter how you compete and that you are able to finish. At least, I think so. For contests and the likes, there may be a prize for the winner or gloating rights, but ... using what you possess to gain the lead, ... an advantage, is okay, but... if to take the lead, you cheat, someone else can get really hurt, and that's not good." Manra then pauses for a bit, "Ah, I ... I spose that's just....my idealism....talking... again."

Manra:
"No, I fully agree with you," Rai'o says. "But, come along, we have to at least catch up to Lasai'ei."
He stands up and hoists you onto his shoulder again before doing the same to Shitai'ei. He then takes off at a sprint once more.

Manra makes a small nod, "T-that's right... we have Lasai'ei's Ring with us...right now." After Rai'o hoists her back up, she holds on tightly with one arm and, when he hoists up Shitai'ei, she wraps her other arm around her once more.

You see stepping stones appearing out of nowhere and disappearing as Lasai'ei uses them to climb into the sky, heading straight for the hole. You finally figure it out: he's cheating by opening a hole in the mountain and going straight through it!
Manra:
"Hang on tight!" Rai'o bellows. "Mountain's going to be a bumpy ride!"
Shitai'ei clings to you even harder as Rai'o stampedes up the mountain as fast as he can while dodging obstacles.
Moriah:
It takes a couple tries, but you get it to work! However, this has the unintended side effect of making your movement erratic!

"HEY! No cheating!" I angle my wings again to further speed my movements and dive through the hole Lasai'ei has made. "Guess I'll cheat too!"
