Skizzors Streamjumper Skizzors Oh man, the Gaia IRL Cinemas Iron Man screening.. ... The line went something like.. 200 PEOPLE CUTOFF POINT SOME GUY SKIZZORS So... you had to pop a cap in some b***h's a**? I wishhhh. But no, just.. there was this small group of people who managed to get to the upper lobby area after they had run out of tickets but not out of seats, until they DID run out of seats, and we just kinda hung around for a little bit.. and we took a picture. (not pictured: my mom.)

Streamjumper Maybe you're shooting for a different meaning, but last I checked your choice to capitalize pride denotes that you're discussing the sin and not the trait, which adds the connotation of pejorative all on its own. Further, the accusation of pride came because you offered religious advice that he was unlikely to accept at best. It denotes nothing. Your own perception drew that conclusion; if I had wanted to "accuse" Spider of some kind of "bad" pride, I would have said something like Too Pride ful or, more likely, just stuck with Foolish Pride alone. At first I wasn't sure if I even wanted to use the word "pride" in the first place so I checked its meanings. When you accuse someone of pride, the general connotation IS a bad one, especially when you toss in a clearly sarcastic "...right". Sorry, no, I chose the word pride after checking to make sure its what I wanted to say. It fit his idea of wanting to do it himself (His self-respect, His dignity, His merit, His dignified sense, His self-esteem) vs. laying the burden down at "I am's" feet. (I am's merit, I am's dignity, etc.) "My beliefs (My merit, My dignity, My Pride) go against that." Fine, dandy ... just watch out for that fine line that's boardering Foolish Pride. The response with the "sarcastic '...right.'" was a response only to the comment of "there is no pride here." A huffy response, but one that only meant to "accuse" (point out) that, "Yes, there is pride present in your situation Spider."

Ashram McDuck It denotes nothing. Your own perception drew that conclusion; No. I'm pretty sure grammar backs me up here. Last I checked the trait of pride wasn't a proper noun, whereas the sin of Pride is. That's why you don't see statements like "Greg is an awesome carpenter, with great Ethics, excellent Ideas, and Skills that can't be beat". Perception nothing.
