They figure if it happened while you're staying there, it was your fault, and you're responsible.
Though in this case I'm ready to argue it, because the way the frame broke indicates weak wood more than anything, and I was also hurt when it fell.
I woke up this morning with some major pain in my back gonk
They're going to have me fill out an accident report claiming them not liable. And I'm going to argue that there's no reason a bed should be falling apart like that, and until I know I won't be charged unreasonably, I'm not guaranteeing them anything.

That sucks, Rave. It reminds me of the time when my freshman year in the dorms during Halloween (which is known for craziness at my school... people come in buses from hours and hours away to party there) when my roommate and her friends were partying in our room, so I just left for a while to study. When I came back, I was tired and our room was trashed and left unlocked. Anyway, I go to bed and put Conan on, when I these two REALLY drunk girls come in, saying my roommate said they could stay. So I let them in and go back to bed. One of the girls has no idea where she is, and climbs onto my roommate's bed which is on top of mine (bunk style) and someone had removed the boards under her bed, so this almost-naked really drunk girl fell on top of me at 1 am. gonk
When she finally got up, she threw up in the trash can and the girls left.

surprised I ordered some artwork last week, and then told her yesterday that I was sick, which was why it took me so long to respond to her PM about my order. When she read that, she responded with "Sweetie, I'll have it done TONIGHT!", so I got it a day or so earlyyyy~
But anyway... I gots cute new art as a gift to Kin, and I loves it. 4laugh
AND my RA said that if I put in a work order and explain the situation to the RA who checks me out next week to tell them I've done so, I probably won't be charged for it.
For now... I'm sleeping on the floor and making a fort seeing as a have a three-foot tall frame for blanket-support! ninja
