Conner stared at the rubble of the wall that lay where Tobias had been, relieved the mutant had gone suspicios of the sphere that had taken him. No matter he thought we better check out fire number two He scrabbled over the bricks and morter and ran to the rear of the van, ducked underneath and checked on the damaged tire. The rock dart had chewed the tread and dented the rims and scored the side of the van but had thankfully done no damage to the axel itself. He pulled himself up and opened the boot, lifting the carpet up to reveal the spare.
"Kevin, could you get one of your...friends to lift the van up? We're on a schedual here." He asked his team-mate. He pulled the spare out of it's hole and grabbed the tire-iron that was stored underneath it and returned to the damaged section of the X-Van.

As the X-Men tip-toed their way through the tangle of fire and chaos to put an end to their fun, Pyro took it upon himself to stop and reflect on the situation for a moment. Glancing at all of Bayville within eyesight, he realized that he - and he might as well include Typhoon in this - had not done that much total damage. So what if there was a Goliath-sized fire demon sitting in the middle of the street, and who cared if the smouldering remains of cars and shrubbery set waves of smoke into the air; they had not even taken a hostage and the X-Men in all their uniformed glory were already barreling up their asses. A bit unnecessary in his mind, to say the least.
"Lookin' for a fight, are we?" said John, his voice actually going bitter for a millisecond before breaking into a smile once again. He had just glanced down and noticed a small, solitary figure stumbling out from the mall entrance. It stopped and glanced fearfully back at John, and it was then Pyro was stuck with a brilliant idea.
With nothing more then a cackle and the wave of his hand, the fire demon took to the air again, but not before leaving a trail of fire in the air behind him. Before the white-haired boy would know what hit him, the ribbon of fire would float in his direction before instantly weaving itself into a cage of sorts. It was roughly 12 foot in diameter and woven loosely enough that the the heat was slightly uncomfortable for the boy at worse. The openings also provided more then adequate ventilation meaning the chance of carbon monoxide poisoning was next to zero. Save for the fact that he was now trapped in a dome of fire, the boy's new habitat was actually quite cozy.
There. A hostage. Now the arrival of the X-Men could easily be justified...
((Plynx, Fett, whichever other X-Men are in the area, feel free to use the X-NPC's as you see fit. I can post as random one on occassions, but from the looks of it, not as often as I would like to. I trust your judgements.))

Johnathan nodded. "I see, that is good." He looked around the room considering what he had left to ask. He had not come in well prepared he saw now and the professor's personality and demeaner had thrown him off a bit. "So, what shall I do now? I believe classes are over in most schools now are they not?" That was common sence but he was unsure about how the system worked here.

"Yes," said the Professor, nodding his head a bit. "Bayville High is now out for the summer, and I'm afraid you've just missed meeting the majority of your fellow X-team members because of it. You are more then welcome to unpack and relax in your room or elsewhere within the mansion or the grounds, after all," he added warmly. "This is your home so much as it is mine."

As Owen saw the fiery ribbon descend toward him, he froze in disbelief, and before the idea of running even entered his head, there he was, trapped in a fiery cage. The insects clinging to his shirt began to scream; the millipede wriggled off of his shoulder in a panic, and before Owen could stop it, it had attempted to breach the blazing prison just a little too close to one of the 'bars', and ended its days as a smoking coil in the burnt grass. Owen's eyes filled with tears, which despite his sorrow, he found they actually helped take some of the smoky sting from his eyes. Down below, he could still hear the terrified shrieks of his remaining passengers, and it tore at him as vividly and painfully as though someone was digging around inside his head with a fork. He crouched down low and put his arms over and on top of his knees. Sensing his intent, the tarantulas started slowly moving around on his shirt until they were all huddled on Owen's chest, sheltered somewhat by the offending heat and bright flames, and hearing little except the rapid heartbeat of their protector.

Kevin nodded and looked over at SBen. SBen then, still hurt, picked up the van. He said "Be quick Conner. SBen's hands still burn form when he hit the pipe." Kevin then thought he heard something in his mind. It was WBen, but WBen was too far away.
Tabitha followed Rpgue and said "Great, our backup is here."

Conner nodded at Kevin's word's and slotted the tyre iron onto the first bolt and twisted, it didn't move. He tried again with the same result. He made sure the iron was secure and stood up and placed all his weight into his right foot and stampped down on one of the perpendicular arms of the tyre iron, the bolt squeaked in protest as it moved. He quickly removed the first bolt and repeated with the next four, he had the wheel lying on the ground in ten minutes and busied himself with the spare. Once he was finished he tapped Sben on the arm and stood up.
"Let it go big guy." he said and stood back as the van dropped. He quickly tossed the damaged wheel in the back and hurried to the driver's seat once more. "Let's go." he barked as he turned on the engine. As soon as he heard the doors all shut he put the X-Van in reverse and slammed his foot down on the accelerator. The van peeled out of the alley and the front skidded in the general direction of the spreading fire, Conner had locked the wheel for the J-turn. He selected first gear and pealed out from the store as fast as the spinning wheels could find grip. "If I find that little psycho again he'll be getting an ice enema." He promised to no one in particular. He gripped the steering wheel hard enough to painfully stretch the burnt flesh of his arm as he threaded his way through the traffic.
The Bayville Mall came in to sight fairly quickly.

((hoping this is okay....if needs to be changed....just tell me V_v))
Valerie watched as Owen was ingulfed in what appeared to be a flaming cage, blinking slightly Mizu jumped onto the top of her head to get a better view of the situation, his large eyes paying attention to each swirl of the flames
"Shall we save that guy?"
The Blonde asked her watery friend, almost calmly...even with all this drama around the ditzy teen just stood with an odd look on her face, Mizu rolled his eyes and knocked on Valerie's forehead making a 'duuuh' noise
"Hello Queen of the idiots...arnt you meant to be on the drama llama squad of mutants...theyre supposed to cause mayhem...not stop it!"
The blonde pouted and put her hands on her hips watching the male crouching down to protect himself, feeling a pang of sympathy...which didnt happen often...it must have been one of those blue moon moments, swiping Mizu away from her head Valerie made a sound similer to a child throwing a tantrum, hopping up and down on the spot for a few moments.
"Well I feel sorry for him...and I say we help him....who knows....we might get a reward...and Im itching for a fight of sorts anyway!"
And with no further word Valerie thrust her hands abover her head summoning a wave of water, when it was of a large enough size she prepared to launch it at the fiery cage. Creating tidal columns of this size was hard work for the teen, but in her mind it would be worth it. Hurling the watery pillars towards the cage she let the water seperate from her body and fly towards Owen.
"Ooooh dont you just love it!"
Valerie giggled innocently standing on one leg with her hand held up proudly displaying a V for victory sign to apparently noone in paticular, Mizu rolled his eyes wandering if his sad excuse for a mistress knew that the person behind this...probably wouldnt be very happy.

Pyro watched happily as his firey-cage-of-doom closed swiftly and silently around the boy's young frame. As the boy crouched down in fear, John could not help but give another trademark chuckle at the situation. After all, it was so adorable how terrifyingly helpless the boy looked, not to mention the awestruck expression plastered on the faces of the close-by X-Men was one for the photo album. Altogether, this would be a classic moment for Bayville history.
Wiping off the tears of laughter that were collecting on his cheek, John, for a brief instant, realized he was at a complete loss with what to do with himself. After all, the X-Men were currently caught up with trying to rescue the hostage (and failing miserably from what he could tell) meaning that he was unchallenged for the time being. No challenge meant boring, therefore, he took it upon himself to make things interesting again.
Forming a cabbage-sized fire-ball in his right hand, he made the motion to toss it in the direction of the fuzzy, blue X-Man, when he noticed something. At ground level a tower of clear, glistening water was building up. Not from a hydrant or a hose, but from a Sheila standing not to far off. Though it was obvious she was a mutant, (a hydrokinetic, if one wanted to get into labels), it confused him that she was not wearing an X-uniform.
His look of surprise intensified as the girl send the wave of water toward the boy's whimpering figure. With a lingering sizzle, the woven cage of fire disappeared into a puff of vapor, freeing the boy if not making him a tad soggy.
"Crikey! A challenger!," shouted John, his mood switching from awestruck to one of pure delight within an instant. This girl seemed like she could be an interesting opponent for the time being. Her little water trick had been nice, - cute even - be he highly doubted she could pull it off a second time. Smiling down at the girl, he formed a second cabbage-sized ball-of-fire in his left hand and hurled it down at the girl, followed in quick succession by the one from his right hand.

Valerie hopped back onto two feet, hands clenched in front of her in a defensive position, looking upwards she saw the form of a male throwing what appeared to be fire at her, her eyes glistened slightly in anticipation, quickly spinning on the spot the Blonde transformed into her gelatinous form. Mizu huffed from the ground and slipped up against her leg moulding himself into her body
"Hot trick huh!"
The teen giggled slightly watching as the flame balls hit into her body, hissing against the water as they did, Valerie writhed slightly and laughed out loud, it appeared the hissing fire tickled her watery sides, when the fire had been put out she looked back up at the pyromaniac with an angry frown upon her tanned face.
"But better luck next time!"
Valerie winked in response to Pyro's smile, forming her own little water ball's which swirled agressively in her palms. letting out a squeaky battlecry she threw one up in the air and a little face appeared on it, Mizu sprang out and landed on one of the windows of the building, watching the other ball fly up from Valeries hand towards the male Mizu winked also and stuck his little blue tongue out
"Have a nice day pretty boy!"

Owen thought he heard a slight murmer and looked up just in time to see the pillar of water descend upon his blazing prison and quench it with an angry hiss. He stared openmouthed at the source of the wave, a million questions racing through his head. How did she do that? How is she STILL doing that? Is she one of those mutants? Doesn't she know she'll get mobbed as soon as this is over? Is she the only one? Are there more of them? Is this some kind of mutant gang-war? His flow of questions finally settled and he looked down at the hairy mass of 5 tarantulas still clinging to his soggy shirt and making small sounds of relief. He wanted to thank the girl for rescuing him and his friends, but she seemed a bit....preoccupied, so he carefully stepped back until he reached a building, then he turned and hid behind it, so taht he would have more shelter than before, but he could still watch what was going on.
