Deoridhe Cissexism sucks. 8( It's one of the more obscure but pervasive discrimination - along with ableism. It sucks worse from people I trusted and admired and went to for help in the past. I guess I'm only valuable as a person if I don't ever criticize allies. >.<

Deoridhe Aino Ailill Arcanist Angus Nines19 I learned something today. Thank you. What is cissexism? I can't find anything on it. I'm not sure how well I can explain this but I will try. A cisgendered person is a person who's physical sex matches with e's mental/social gender. The majority of us. Cissexism is when a cisperson acts from a status of cis-privelage and does not consider the non-cis. I think the binary system would be an example of cissexism, but I'm not certain in my application. We could get into gender-queer theory, but honestly I've only got the basics and it's really a discussion for trans and gender queer people, not cis people. In short, some trans people argue the binary system is accurate (particularly intersexed people) and some don't (particularly gender-queer people). To add ot the definitions, gender-queer is a category of people who identify with more complicated or less binary or less seemingly binary identifications - like individuals who are androgyns or people who identify their gender as butch or femme (butch and femme can also be modifiers indicating one's social mannerisms as well - which is where this becomes really complicated). It does become kind of a giant mess after a while. Lately I've been hearing a lot of tell from the IS community that they don't want to be included among trans folk unless they're specifically transitioning. I've seen one or two attempts to create a unified theory of gender that's functional and inclusive but someone always ends up left out. And unfortunately there's this really screwed up viewpoint spread all over that agendas are more important than lives. Even in the trans and genderqueer communities. >.< It's problematic.

scream scream scream My brother isnt here, the group is in like 12 different states. I'm stuck with a scientist for a study partner and his you need to prove magic is a pain in the a**. The only use he has is his library of books. Its quite massive and they will be mine.
Fall can't get here fast enough, I want to hunt and camp all fall.
I then found out that this guild is a lot better then spellsofmagic, there is idiots on that site with the handful of good people. The other thing is people always correcting you on everything. Can't they just be like ok, that they need to add their word to everything that you say? What do they expect me to say 'Oh you are right I submit you your knowledge and wisdom, Oh please enlighten me with your wisdom on how to correct everything a person says???'
arrg debates are fine but can't we just play nice.

Why should a person keep quiet when another appears to be espousing false information? This guild is a Rehabilitation center. As such, it is one that will challenge another's assumptions and most certainly will question claims. You view attempting to correct another as not playing nice? Why?
