i'm a senior and i play the flute. during marching band i played the piccalo this year. its tradition in my band for the senior flute to play it. that was me this year. most of the people in my band are cool. we have 6 flutes in my band. i won't go into that though because i could probably complain for hours on one of them alone. wow. so i have always wondered what kind of songs other people play in their band. so what songs do you guys play for pep band. we usually play '70 rock although my new director thought it would be cool to learn to play "hey ya" this year. we suck. so yeah enough from me for now

well I'm going to go through spring training on bass 4 and they'll see where I get. I'm so excited and I love the people but bass four is almost as big as me! I could probably curl up and sleep in it if we got stranded...
I still love it. cool

I think the best pep band song we've ever played would have to be "the way you move" but we barely even have any because we're more of a competition band 3nodding

Am I the only one who only plays flute? Although, I think it's really cool that there are peopple to talk to who also play flute. I'm not sure about ya'll, but I'm first chair. The other flutists just either don't car enough or try their best and not make it.
So, does anybody like the piano question

so concert band is pretty much over...all our contests are over and we suck big time. we get to get out some more songs now and pick songs for the spring concert. this also means a lot of free time for me because he'll do a lot with jazz band and i'm not in the jazz band. my band only has like 50-somthing people in it. its pretty cool though i guess. i get a lot of free time after concert is over.

I'm a flautist and I have two flutes heart heart
one named Sora and teh other Loreli
Soras my favorite though... 3nodding
I'm also first chair which is ironic because last year I was 10th out of approx. 20 last year and know I'm 1st out of 5
three of which were ahead of me last year and I hardly practiced over the summer sweatdrop
most of the other peoples ether whent to a different highschool or or still in middle school though xp

im a sixth grade flutist and im in the ''advanced'' band class xd
the hardest song i know i can play is the pink panther theme song and the whole band dosent even have that music neutral
im the only one in the flute section who dosent have an open hole flute and i wanna know, is there any difference in sound cause theyre telling me im to low pitched stare

im ajouner in my band and me anme y other friend megan and my names megan to so im called MC'clarke
any way every girl and d1 boy exept megan and me are snooty,snobish,and annoying.and ever though im the 2nd best flute palyer after my frend megan me and her are still in 5th and 6th chair
thats just stupid isn't? biggrin

I'm a sophomore flute player and I'm fourth out of ten (I think.) It's okay, though because the three ahead of me are upperclassmen. I'm so glad there's a flute thread now! biggrin
