Umm...so Hiro and I got invited to a small cocktail get-together tonight after dinner. I was kind of excited because I like going to smaller gatherings because it's easier for me to.....get involved. And be social. Actually talk to people I don't know. Well it turned out being a lot bigger than we thought, and it was ridiculously uncomfortable for me. I knew a few people but there weren't any there that I actually feel like I can have a conversation with. It's all small talk, awkward silences, and trying to pretend that I actually know and like the kind of s**t rap music they were playing. Oh yeah, I just love dancing like a whore to music that's demeaning to my gender. Love it.
I don't think I even lasted 30 minutes there. ******** that s**t. He can call me later to pick him up. crying
I hate that kind of thing too. I would be bored out of my mind. At least he's having a good time though. smile
Oh I'm quite glad that he's enjoying it. After all, he misses his friends a lot when he's away for such a long time. I'm glad he could get a chance to see them. 3nodding

It sucks when your favorite character has to constantly die very painful deaths emo
Well, at least Takano always put her to sleep before she started cutting her open, you know? I think the time she found out who caused everything, was the only time she stood awake while being cut open. On that side, at least.
Stabbing yourself in the head is an entirely different matter.
Wasn't there also the time she was pecked to death by birds? In the one where everyone in the town except Keiichi died?

So, in case you lovely ladies and gents are wondering how I'm posting....I'M USING MY MIND POWERS!!!! Well...not really. One of the guys that came with to the con brought a laptop. Anyway..so like, I've got some pretty good pictures. The best one so far I'd have to say, is Pyramid Head (best cosplay I've seen of him though he should have had the huge sword) and a nurse thing that I assume was the guy's girlfriend. Oh...and Jesus at the start of a conga line waving. rofl Man...this turned out pretty cool. I got the animes I was looking for which were all of Koi Kaze (for $30 and in excellent condition because it was a previous rental but it was hardly watched...I'm excited0, and then the second season to Kyo Kara Maoh. It was the first DVD and the box to put the rest of the DVDs in. Only thing is, I don't get to put the art and stuff for it in there but..I'll have to figure something out. I also got the second half to Ceres (the boxset thing).
I got other stuff too, more than I thought I would.. But I grabbed two Sailor Moon wall scrolls (one with her and Chibi-Moon in their Super forms, and the other from the last season in their Eternal forms plus the three Starlights). A guy grabbed one that had the outer scouts on it which I would have liked when I saw it (wasn't there yesterday..) but oh well.
Also..they were showing School Rumble here. I wasn't able to catch the first episode, but I saw the second. I must say, holy crap that's funny stuffs there. That's definitely being added to my list of things to get eventually. Anyway, more about the other stuff I got... I got some milk pocky (very yummy), some panda things that have the liquid stuff inside or the frosting..whatever it is (also yummy, though I like the milk and strawberry better than the chocolate). And...oo! And Aerith figure. I love her..she's my favorite from FFVII. I got a couple yaoi manga too..the first volume to Level C (never can find that one in stores), and then June Pride.. I got a couple free DVDs earlier because of the grab bag.. It was a volume (10) to Flame Recca (or whatever..I don't know. Never seen the anime), and..volume 4 to Kyo Kara Maoh. I was all excited at first, but then realized it was for the first season, not second. But oh well.
I'll definitely be taking more pictures tomorrow.. I'll probably be buying more stuff but I'm going to try and have as much extra as I can because if they have it, I want to pre-register for next year right away. I'll probably get back to you guys tomorrow night sometime..hopefully not too late! I think we're going to get pizza tonight for dinner...yum yum.
I've already discarded a handful of servers due to being constantly near max occupancy on a regular basis, some more because they seem like absolute munchkinfests, a few for being prohibitively strict with what they actually allow, and yet more for being too heavily altered from the original classes and rulesets... And don't even get me started on the ones with nothing but rampant PvP.
So far I've found one that gives you a quick leg up to level five but has loot that makes no sense (the number of magical weapons, scrolls, and potions I've pulled off of wild animals is a little silly). The part where an owlbear stopped in combat to quaff a potion was a bit off too. It also seems a little difficult to find decent places to adventure without taking teleports... and just as you reach somewhere you want to level the server might decide to do one of its ridiculously often save and resets where it teleports you to a pocket dimension and then back to the same location everyone starts out at... usually quite far away from where you started out.
There's a second one I'm still sussing out, but I'm going into things a little vexed at how insanely divided up the shops in their town are... I'll put it this way, the character I was building there was a dex based rogue/weapon master rapier specialist... and to look at armor, rapiers, shortbows, belts, and rings I had to hit all four corners of a densely packed urban setting roughly four times the size of the city center from first chapter of the original NWN campaign. And only after selling a bunch of spoils (for insanely little, might I add) I'd come across in one of the newbie zones did I manage to stumble across the Mercenary guild and discover that I needed to dump everything I had blindly into a magic chest and sell it... and I was only able to find out the worth of the pile after closing the lid and being told the total.
The third should at least give us something to do while we find perfection... They seem to allow a lot of the offshoot secondary races like planetouched, drow, duergar, and the like and in the character creation lobby you can talk to an npc that gives you the option of leveling your character to anywhere between level 1 and 20 (server goes all the way to 40) with reasonable amounts of gold added to your inventory to allow you to buy (and customize) gear commensurate with your level. The nice thing about this is that it would allow people with a little less time to devote to things to create characters and level them up to where the rest of us were... and for us to check out builds for later use on other servers.
