XD First of all, I must laugh my a** off at Cziri. Just imagine me rofling here.
As for Fish, theres a reason I stopped RPing Mindblaze for most intents and purposes save for defense against attacks in a few guilds. I realized he could make himself uber by eating people with powers he didn't have. I will admit, however, that he can't do anything, there are still a few power bases he hasn't consumed and he can't access other planes for planar psionics. Relatively sure he doesn't have holy, magical force, illusions, transmutations, and sonics, among others.

My response to all of this?

And again, I'm eternally sad my other mostly-used roleplay character was out of commission before this tournament began. Let us say, he had a means of emulating planar magic - if only I'd applied it as thus. ;.;

They really threw the bar out the window when it came to standards of who gets accepted into this tourney...

Vahn Kyonuske They really threw the bar out the window when it came to standards of who gets accepted into this tourney... And you're trying to say you'd be above such a bar, were it existant? XD

Which, if you think about it, means he can do almost anything, especially if you're not limiting it to self transmutations.

Vahn Kyonuske In all honestly, ego with-held, yes. God, yes. Than dammit, I, Typhoon Omi, hereby give you the official approval of myself, to pass the bar. [Stamps your forehead with a mixture of red ink, imp blood, and BBQ sauce.]

That depends entirely on the bar.
If it's a power-bar... below.
If it's a talent-bar... above.

If a character fights with a weapon that has a mind of its own which can act according to its own will (Not like Kharn's axe which can't act on its own as far as I know) then does that count as a DQ or can they have their flying sword or whatever?

I'd think if it acts completely independently without drain on the user it might be seen as a familiar. Might have to get a second opinion on that bit as its a bit sketchy to me.

Probably a question of degree. Intelligent weapons are still weapons, weapons that get up and fly around attacking people are probably based on case (see Tac's post), I seriously doubt Tac could let Orcus or Caritas wander around and do things like they do in the GPD. Anyway, just stopping by to say I rarely check this any more. If anyone has questions PM or IM me please.

IMO; yeah they can have a mind of there own, but they can't have free will I'd say. So basically they're free to carry out the owners will, and nothing more.
If you ask me, if the PC can make the sword do that thing, then the sword could do it if programing behind it was right.
All this is really circumstantial though, I'd have to see the post to tell you for sure. wink

Weapons are allowed to have intelligence as long as they cannot freely act upon it.
As in: They can't get up and swing themselves, they can't suddenly explode magical death all over or summon up some firestorm aura while lying in the dirt. If they have to be 'activated' in some way by a weilder (for abilities) or swung, all's well.
Generally as long as it can't fight on its own.
Though I have nothing against them having minds, or free will, or even that little "don't pick me up unless you my buddy, man, or I'll bitechya" thing.
As long as they don't start swinging themselves or hurling fireballs while the weilder is fourty feet away.

I'm not exactly sure of what Viper posted... is his body continually exploding ala Cell, or is he causing several explosions to build up around him?
