Hence my very slow reply rate right now.
Question: have you ever read the Pern series? I'm trying to create a history for a character in an rpg set in those books...

Thyis I'm sorry, but it sneaks up on me, that laziness, and then suddenly BAM and I don't move for like a week. I think I might be slipping into a coma. xd o.o Coma...I think a lot of teenagers and/or people around our age are in an almost state of coma perpetually. v.v;

This German guy (who teaches me German!) got mad because I told him (in German!) that my favorite pastime was sleeping and eating. He told me it wasn’t an eligible hobby, but what else, I ask, does a drunken youth/raccoon do with his spear time? What! Fick ER!

I think I have heard of him too, but I have yet to read any of them. What are they about? And I would wait a while for the second Abarat; untill the paperback comes out. The hard cover costs 30 buck. (Yes I bought it...don't know why, but its a good book)

Crighton's books are mostly sci-fis (I think he's got a few in other genres). It's a kind of real-life sci-fi, based in this world on actual scientific principles (some of the descriptions get really technical, but personally I like the explanation)... He's the guy who wrote the original Jurassic Park.
I think my favorite might be Andromeda Strain, partially 'cuz it's the first one I read... Congo, Sphere, Jurassic Park, Timeline and Prey are all cool too.
**edit** *whistles at the price* Is that canadian dollars, or is it just that expensive?

But I hated how the movie didn't use the full polt from the book. Jurassic Park, that is.
