The seraph folded his arms and stared down at the Fractured Soul calmly. "I just have the feeling that there was more happening back there than it seems. Could you tell me about it?"

Azriel gulped and looked toward the back door for a moment. Then, after a jolt of realization, she also removed the clips from her wings, worried that this Devian, whoever he is, might be able to eavesdrop through them anyway. She looked back up at Kratos with a serious expression. "W-we should continue this up on the roof for good measure." After placing the clips in a pouch on her waist, she took to the air. But she stopped and hovered halfway, looking down at Kratos to ask, "Wait a minute. How are you going to---"

As if to answer her question, he extended his angel wings and leaped up to the roof in a single bound, ahead of Azriel.

"Oh...right. redface How did I forget that...?" she thought to herself out loud, proceeding to the roof herself. She landed beside Kratos, surprised to find the dark-skinned elf there already. O_O "Rhone! Wh-what are you doing here? You heard me back inside?"

Back inside the house, Sheena was leading the way toward the back door, Colette following behind her.

Rhone chuckles and lays down staring at the sky.
"Yeah, I heard that. Heard what was said between you and Kratos a few seconds ago as well."
He points to his elven ears and then to his exsphere.
"Large ears and mutation result in excellent hearing."
He then stands up and looks over at Kratos and Azriel while making his right arm glow red with mana power.
"Joking aside, I'm here for a reason. I came to help. If you need a little extra mana....use mine. Let me be your power supply. It's the least I can do..."
At that moment, Cain jumped up onto the roof, causing Rhone's attention to shift. The power circulating around his arm began to fade as well.
"Ah, Cain, there's going to be a ritual up here soon."

Rhone scratches the back of his head and sighs.
"Alright, but I get a little fidgety whenever I'm not able to do anything....so...if you think of something I can help you with, let me know, okay?"
Zelos and Regal were both looking up at the roof trying to decide how to get up.
"Well...looks like we're stuck down here...."
"What do you mean 'we'?"
Regal jumps up to the roof, leaving Zelos looking dumbfounded.
"Uhh...guys?.....a little help?......guys?...."

Cain ignored the newcomers and Zelos's dilemma.Once informed of Devain, the elf looked shocked and bit down on his thumb, "So, Devain survived." He took his thumb out of his mouth and closed his eyes for a moment. With the sigh, the elf addressed the group, "What all was Cinkel able to tell you? I doubt much. This happened once before, and he used a similar technique on me."

Cain nodded when Kratos spoke, "First off, Devian is a demon hunter. It is because of Malphas that Devian wishes to kill Cinkel. He believes that Cinkel is a "demon lover", has he so puts it, and wishes ill will to the world. Devian is skilled in music, swordsmanship and fire magic. He is able to control Malphas and, to an extent, Cinkel using his music. Multiple times, Cinkel has escaped Devian throughout the years, leaving him sour. He desires to make Cinkel suffer before killing him slowly. Most likely, he'll wait for the opportune moment to attack everyone. Be prepared. He has a sick brand of justice, but he won't hurt the innocent. Ergo, he'll most likely wait till we're a good distance from town."

The elf stretched his arms above his head and yawned, "The reason why Cinkel told you that it would be okay to destroy his body is because he is able to recuperate, but only if we can sever Devian's control over Malphas. So, there's no real worry. Unless, of course, Devian is able to warp the air around us. Then, it might be a little difficult."

He rubbed the back of his head and just shrugged, "Just, try not to kill Devian. Cinkel made me promise that. I don't know why."

Azriel scratched the back of her head. "Huh. I really don't want it to have to come to that...but I guess we'll have to take your word for it. Is it best that we act like we don't know all this for now?" She put the clips back in her pouch again.

"And most importantly, how do we break Devian's control?" Sheena added.

Azriel bore a fanged grin, and her eyes were now black with glowing yellow irises. She held a hand up before her, her nails shown to have extended into black claws, and curled her fingers into a fist. "Then we make it even harder for him to escape," said the voice of Oscuro.

Colette made a soft gasp at Azriel's sudden changes. Kratos seemed slightly taken aback, and Sheena jolted in surprise. Then, Azriel's expression switched to something more embarrassed. "...Eeep! Sorry about that! Oscuro's just...really antsy now. Please don't be scared..." sweatdrop She looked toward Colette and Kratos rather sadly. "...Please don't judge her." She stepped away toward another edge of the roof, distancing herself from the group to get the room for the rest of the changes to commence.

Once at her desired spot, Azriel stood still. Her clothes blackened into pure darkness element. If one could still tell under the tincture of night, her skin turned a shade of slate blue. Her right wing morphed in structure to match the left, and the feathers shed to reveal a perfectly identical wing. She seemed to grow taller and more...voluptuous. Her toenails became black and clawed as well; her hair quadrupled in length and turned black with blue (a deeper shade than her normal color) bangs. Curling horns extended from the top of her head, and a devilish tail extended from the base of her spine.

Finally, the darkness that enveloped her body solidified into real clothing---on the torso, nothing more than a bustier and panties. On the legs, long toeless stockings that ended about four inches above the knees. On the arms, long fingerless gloves that stopped below the shoulders. All were black.

Chiaro facepalmed as Oscuro looked down and checked herself. "Couldn't you have changed into something more decent?!"

"..." O////O;;;; Azriel was just blushing hard out of embarrassment and sweating profusely.

Sheena's eye twitched as she looked at the dark being. "O-Oscuro, where's your coat???"

O.O;; "S-so this is...Oscuro?" Colette asked in wide-eyed astonishment. The transformation did frighten her a bit.

"..." Kratos remained silent, mentally admitting to himself that the situation felt awkward and improper, to be staring at a woman standing out in the open dressed in such a manner. He turned to look away out of uneasiness.

confused "...What? It's what happens when the coat is off. The clothes will only change when they're on the body. Don't it make sense?" Oscuro answered nonchalantly, not at all bothered at how scantily clad she was. Then she placed her hands on her hips and looked out the corner of her eye, as if someone were behind her, to answer Chiaro. "Hey, I'm only working with what I've got. I've only got as much time to think as there is for the manifestation to complete." mad

After a couple of seconds, Cain faces turned a deep red as he just realized what he was looking at. He turned abruptly and sat down, rubbing the bridge of his nose, "It's a good thing only her coat was in serious damage."

He then mumbled softly to himself, "Almost forty-four years old and I still get embarrassed from seeing something like that."

He then spoke, "Any idea how long this will take?"
