From all that I've heard about items and such, I think I've produced a decent analysis about why some items are expensive... I had to explain it in the ED.Quote: It's all about supply and demand, buddy.
I've heard that most oldbies quit Gaia, and due to a series of brainfarts, they leave all their items on their account to collect dust.
Because that happens, the older items are essentially less available, which leads to an increase in price.
If you really think about it, we are just tossing around all the one timer items we have our hands on amongst each other.
But lately, with some of these recent Cash Shop items, like the Superstar dealy, they're releasing old items, like the Bunny Slippers, which was owrth quite a lot, and sill most likely is.
Here's a prime example. Do you know about the NPC underwear items, Gino's in particular?
Before it was worth a hefty amount of gold.
BUT!
Now that it's obtainable in the daily chance, it's gown down, down down, less than 1k, even!
Another factor that effects price if the popularity of the item in question.
Are you surprised that some evolving items are near worthless now? Well, it's all about the usefulness of the poses and how they'd fit with your avi. the less useful they may seem, the less they'll begin to cost.
So keeping these factors in mind, it's only a matter of time until even items like Mercury's Mon go down in price, or even the Demon Cats!
Remember. Less=More, and More=Less. Is there anything I've missed?

Betman Yeah, it works....
but why do you need to explain supply and demand? Some guy in the ED was wondering why Gaia items get so pricey and if the price is bumped up just for farts and giggles.
So I explained it, as best I could.
