Conner used the distraction of Kevin's little friend to flank right, he shifted his gravity towards the wall and ran up it towards a fire escape. He vaulted the rail and jumped of the other end onto the slightly warm dumpster, he began to sweat profusely as he circled the mutant. what in the blue blazes is a mundie? he thought as he leaped from the dumpster to a pile of lead pipes. he slid down them and tested one to see how hot it was, they were warm but okay to touch and hold.

He grabbed a four foot length and tested it's balance; it was about as good as he'd get. He gripped it like a small javelin and threw it at the mutant with all the force he could muster.

Zion smiled at her friends then looked at Damion and arched an eyebrow. She suddenly stood up and took his hand and started leading him to the dance floor. "C'mon lets dance!"

Rogue glanced over at Tabby. "I'm not sure, but I would think they'd get here quick. Come on. We can at least head that way and see if we can find a way up." She took off towards the section of the mall where the fire guy was standing, assuming Tabby was following.

As she neared the building, she glaced up at the roof, and what she saw made her feel a bit better. There was one of the others she recognized from the mansion up on the roof. Just the one, but it looked like one of the bunch from the van, so they'd probably seen the fire, and come running just like she and Tabby had. Rogue glanced over her shoulder and yelled back at Tabby, "Looks like one of the others beat us up there. And I bet his friends aren't too far off, but I don't think they're the back up we sent for. We'd better get up there and let them know we're here and that more help is on the way!"

((OOC: Anyone, feel more then welcome to correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there is anyone on the roof of the mall save for Pyro and David. Last time I checked, Conner, Kevin and whoever else was with them were fighting Tobias in an alley not to far off.

Your not in trouble or anything, just thought I'd point that out to avoid confusion later down the line.))

(They were close, but not on the roof. They were in the alley with Tobias.

However Kevin's winged creature is hiding on the roof, scouting for Kevin)

Tobias didn't bother trying to directly oppose the creature's charge; instead, he used its own momentum to fling it aside with searingly hot hands. He had barely completed the throw, however, when Connor's makeshift javelin struck him in the upper arm, opening a shallow cut. Tobias stumbled into the wall, not quite so much hurt as surprised, and snarled at his latest assailant. "Playing catch, now?" He snatched up the fallen pipe and smiled grimly. He'd never paid attention in chemistry, except for one section: melting points. Lead's was fairly low, for a metal. A brief wave of heat rolled from his hand as he melted a chunk of the pipe and hurled the glob of molten metal at Kevin, then chucked the remainder of the sizzling tube back at Conner.

Kidd smiled ad nodded happily to Darius as the lights dimmed. "Oh, just in time the show's starting." Kidd sat up good and strait to have a look over the vast crowd. There had to be over a thousand people packed under the seeming huge, but relatively, small tent. Kidd began to bounce as the Ring Master started to make is speech and premisses of lions tigers and bears. "Oh Darry! Aren't you getting excited. I wonder who'll be up first." whispered Kidd. The crowd was silent as the Ring Master gestured to the opening at the left of the Ring. Acrobats of all shapes and sizes came twirling and spinning out dancing around the ring. Kidd smiled there was one with long blue hair, a winter theme. It reminded Kidd of herself.

Despite the obvious hell that seemed to have broken loose in town, Professor Xavier did not let concern show outwardly. Though Johnathan seemed more then mature enough to the handle the news of a mutant pyromaniac loose in Bayville, The Professor thought it irrelevant, for now at least, and pressed on with their conversation as if there was nothing out of the ordinary to report.

"Self-control," answered the Professor. "Over one's powers and actions are what is taught at this school, along with respect. Respect for all, despite their powers, ideals, alliances or...lack thereof."

John beamed happily as his fellow roof-dweller complimented him on his fire-crafted handiwork. "Why, thanks mate," he said, deciding to show off his creation by letting it break off from it's perch above the mall and circle the area. It breathed fire, on occasion, setting a few more trees up in smoke as panic continued to escalate in the streets below. He was tickled by the fact that it been just under two minutes and back-up of any kind for the sake of Bayvillers had yet to show up. Pity...

"I'd be honored," said John finally, in response to the boy's request. "My name's Pyro...any chance you've got a name as well?"

"Name's Dave. But you can call me Typhoon," David replied. He'd been considering a cool-sounding codename for a while, but could never find one that really fit. Until now, that is. So, Typhoon it was.

"My power lets me do stuff like this," he said, dismissing the breeze around himself (he was cooled down enough for now, and he could always call it back up afterwards), and whipped up a small vortex, which pulled in some of the flames, and whirled them into a burning tornado. "Aerokinesis is very, very fun sometimes," he said, watching the flames whip about.

--------------------------------

"Not normally, though lately..." Morgan replied to Sarah's question. Things had just been going crazy recently, first with that thing with Magneto, and then with the pyro on the mall, and now this. It was getting to the point where nothing could surprise Morgan anymore.

"Alright, let's just get this over with..." he said, turning to Blink. "I can't speak for everyone else, but just tell me what to do," he added.

"Good, good. And I'm afraid the others don't really have a choice. You're the only ones I could pull away for this mission, and I need all three of you for this to work," Blink explained.

"Anyways, I'll get you as close as I can to your target. I can't port you all the way in, because I'd just be dropping you right into the middle of a bunch of guards."

"Oh, that's lovely. Can I at least have a weapon or something? Going in bare-fisted isn't exactly the best approach," Morgan said sarcastically.

"Why don't I just grab one of yours?" Blink said, opening a portal.

"Wait, what?"

"Be right back," she said, stepping through the bright pink gateway. Within a few moments, another portal opened up, and Blink stepped through it, holding Morgan's katana.

"Wait... How did you-? Ah, forget it. I don't want to even know how it happened," Morgan said, briefly amazed at the fact that she actually knew where he kept his weapons. "Okay, now I'm feeling a bit better. Still not sure about this "saving reality" thing, but it's worth a shot. Can we go now?"

"Right, right. But first, take these with you," Blink said, removing three small crystalline objects from folds in her clothing. "These function like communicators. You'll be able to keep in touch with me up here, as well as each other," she explained.

"Wait, aren't you coming with us?" Morgan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Heck no! Somebody's got to monitor everything! Now, get going!" she said. Behind the three "honorary Exiles", Blink opened up another swirling pink vortex. "Good luck!" she said, shoving the three of them through, and towards their objective.

When the portal dumped them out, they were standing in what appeared to be some sort of jungle. Morgan couldn't tell exactly where they were, but when he looked around, he saw that they were standing outside what looked like a military base. "Oh, absolutely brilliant," he said, voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Hey! No time to waste! You three have to get in there!" came a familiar voice, emanating from the crystals that had been given to the impromptu team.

"And how the heck do we do that?!"

"That's your job. I'm sure you'll figure something out. I'll contact you again when you're inside," Blink said, and then the transmission ended.

"Why me?" Morgan sighed.

(( rofl ))

To say Sarah was confused when she first got here was accurate. After that whole excapade in the control room she was now absolutly clueless as to what was going on. "Uuuummm.....this....just...keeps....getting stranger and stranger." She looked around her in absolute confusion. "Ssssssssssoooooooo......." She started. "What just heppened and when do we wake up from this dream?" She asked Morgan still trying to figure out what had just happened.

Conner instinctivly deflected the pipe with the back of his left fore-arm, the sleeve of his shirt combusted as he did so and his skin began to burn badly.

"Sonuva..!" he cried out in pain and lost his footing. "Bloody f'ckin' hell!" he swore and, again, on instinct patted the burning patch of his arm, pain shot through his arm with every impact, initiating another string of swearwords each time.
He managed to slap the small fire out and ripped the top of his left sleeve fron the rest of his shirt and covered the burn Not the most effective bandage, but it'll have to do for now he thought. He forced himself to his feet and surveyed the alley, he was stuck in a dead end and his allies were on the otherside of a pissed off mutant and the pain in his arm was too distracting to use his powers to run around the guy. The only way was through him.

SBen punched the pipe exremely hard. The glob flew at Tobias with enough force to knock him to the ground and maybe out. However, SBen was in a lot of pain. Some of the glob was still on his hand and it burned. Kevin was sure what to do. SBen started punching the ground, trying to cool off his hand.

((Sorry about that! I saw that WBen was up there and figured that the rest were right behind him. I'll go fix it.))

Rogue wished that either Kurt or Jean was there with them. Then it would be a piece of cake to get up on the roof. As it was though, it was only herself and Tabby, niether of which could fly. Rogue stopped and looked around for any sort of drain pipe or fire escape ladder, but so far she wasn't finding either.

"Hey, you wouldn't happen to know which side of this place has the fire escape would you?" she asked Tabby.

((Uh, I'm not so sure that'd work... molten lead is by definition liquid, which means it splatters. The short time it's been away from the heat source wouldn't be enough for it to solidify to any meaningful extent; in order to redirect it, you'd have to more or less scoop the globlets out of the air. Deflecting it would be a lot easier. Also, the lead is moving with kinetic energy somewhere between a .45 bullet and a fair bit more than a .44 magnum (450-1250 joules); i.e. enough to make an 80 kg man move at a momentary velocity anywhere from 3 to 13 miles an hour. Is SBen strong enough to completely reflect that sort of force?))

(Not sure, but wouldn't it of been easier to just say "Tobias moved out of the way." Plus I didn't say SBen wasn't in pain. )
