He stands up and leaves the mess hall and leads Rintala to Alena's room. He leads her up to the hallway and informs her that Alena's room is the fifth room on her left. He looks at her. "Besides this will you be needing any other assistance? Otherwise I'll take my leave from here."

"Alright, well, ya'll have at that, I'm gonna replenish my travel stuff, which means switching out some of the stuff here and then a trip up to the kitchen. I guess I should pack more food this time, since there'll be so many of us, huh?" Skiiy goes to fetch his traveling pack, which he had dumped unceremoniously onto his bed.

Mercuryangel "Forget the sun...we'll get plenty of it now anyway. You and emotions....well try pretending the Gaidin is a angreal. You do have a fondness for them."
She stopped a moment, and tried to picture Az with a warder who she felt was angreal...and started laughing. Clearing her throat she looked at Azalea with a smile on her face.
"Sorry...the mental picture of that was too funny. I suppose you have a point there...needs to be someone you could tolerate at the least. Which reminds me...I can't decide whether to hit Yurin for going off to the Dark One's land on his own, or else comfort the Amyrlin. To be honest, I thought it was finally the bonding which would work....they did get along, however awkwardly...but considering the sudden situation and bonding, it was working. What did you think?" : Azalea blinked, a little caught off guard by Mercury's laughter. "I am afraid that I haven't been paying much attention to the affairs of the Amrylin's bonding. I suppose I will just take you word for it that their bond appeared to be working though, after all, you are rather close to her, being the Keeper." She gave her friend an encouraging smile and rose, leaving her empty dishes to be picked up by the kitchen maid that was heading toward them. "Are you ready to head to the stables? Or do you think that we should just head there after we meet up with Katerine? That might work out best." Azalea shifted her pack on her right shoulder, waiting for her friend to lead her to their next destination. :

"I don't know...I suppose we should go find Katerine...though she's sensible enough to come to the stables...I really don't want to carry this pack up stairs again, so let's get the horses ready, and we can go back find them later."
Mercury paused to figure out which direction to go, and found one of the side doors leading to the front corner of the courtyard. Unfortuantely, the stables were in the opposite corner...
"So are you taking your regular horse? Or one of the chargers?"

: Azalea shrugged, "My horse with do fine. It is relatively fast and has some endurance." She followed Mercury out of the Tower and into the courtyards. "Blast! The stables are on the other end...Ah well, it will give Alena and her warders more time to get ready." :

Ban sat on the edge of his apartment's bed, rubbing his temples between his thumb and index finger. Streams of laced tabac billowed around his head and his lamp, and with a sigh, he placed his wooden pipe on the ash tray which layed on his night stand. "Blood and ashes," he cursed. It had been a long night.

Nynaeve glided down the hall, ignoring the sadness she felt as the Accepted she passed bobbed curtsies and avoided her gaze. It was all too easy to think back a week and remember herself bobbing curtsies to Aes Sedai in the halls of the Tower. Serenity. She had to remind herself constantly that she now stood above her friends, and could not stop to gossip with them as she had once done. She made her way slowly to the sister's dining hall, musing over her new position.
She was no longer expected to jump every time a sister said 'frog', but the new undercurrents she felt pulled at her feet every time she tried to place a step, and the deference! Sisters who had gained the shawl before her grandmother was even born deferred to her, but sisters who had been Aes Sedai for no more than a year of two were placed above her. Of course, she understood the system, but it still rankled a bit with her.
Don't be such a ninny, she thought to herself, would you rather be scrubbing floors in a banded dress? She smiled at the thought, but her humor quickly vanished as she recalled the future she had seen flashing about a strange servant in the halls that morning. A slight frown furrowed her brow as she rounded the corner leading to the dining hall.

"No, thanks you," Rintala bowed her head politely, "Thank you for your help, Markis." Turning away from the man she slowly padded down the hallway until she got to Alenda's room. Taking a moment to collect herself, make sure she didn't seem to eager, she slowly knocked on the door with her knuckles.

Nynaeve glided into the dining hall and glanced around at the empty tables. "How sad," she murmured, "nobody ever really seems to come down here. I would truly like to meet a few sisters aside from the Selector." She sighed and began contemplating what she would eat that day, finally deciding on a fish stew before returning to her earlier contemplations.

"I suppose Aldeib will do fine. She's a strong horse. You'd think they would make the Tower more accessible...but I suppose when in the Age of Legends you know a hundred or so more things than we do now, that probably wasn't an issue...."

: Azalea chuckled, "Yes, I suppose it wouldn't have been a problem. I only wish we had their knowledge...Imagine the angreals that were lost in the Breaking. They must have had so many to choose from..." Her voice grew distant and a wistful look replaced the bemused one on her features. :

Mercury snorted. "Choose from? Hah! In the Age of Legends, they were still MAKING them...I'm sure if there wasn't one for what they wanted, they could make one...but perhaps you'll figure out how to do it once your studies are over."

Ban threw back his covers and stood from the bed. He sniffed and scratched his groin area obnoxiosly. His head felt as if it were being beaten by a series of drummers. He yawned, and grimaced; his breath was as stale as a grave.
When the man stepped out of the apartment, nobody noticed. His beret veiled his eyes, and his jaw was set in a neutral expression, head tilted toward the ground. He walked with his hands in his suit pockets, and based on the feable belt knife at his waist, posed no danger to any officers or wary travellers. Ban strode through the lower class streets of Cairhien without any inhibition or trouble. He made his way across the midline and entered the upper class district, searching with vague interest for his employer's residence. By the time he found it, he was already ten crowns richer. The gate to the manor was about a mile from the Sun Palace. The vicinity made Ban uncomfortable, but he was far too experience to shift or express it physically. He eyed the beautiful gates which barred his path absently. They were decorated with the master's sigil, a charging boar. Barthanes of House Damodred. Rumor had it the man was dead, torn limb from limb in his personal quarters. That lot happened right around the time the Dragon Reborn was said to be in the city. Surely no coincidence in that. Ban smiled. His employer was another nameless face, and was supposedly in charge of the estate. From what he had gathered, his business was shadowy to say the least. No matter. Pay was pay.

((^_^ Hey Velkyn!))
: Azalea sighed, her presence still carrying a wistful nature. "Yes, I should very much like to make some. I say, my studies shall never be over! There are many Power-wrought items yet to be discovered. Once I find all of those that I can find, I will still need to study them. No, I think I have quite enough tasks to last me my lifetime." :
