That's not to bad. Your only 3 hours behind me (if I looked at the correct time, I'm on EST.). I'm just on at all hours of the day and night because, my sleep is sooo messed up, lol.

In US pacific time (NOT NZ): I will have plenty of time Thursday evening and all of Friday. I have an exam mid-day Thursday, but then my next one isn't for a week. Why do you ask?
(I'm currently 19 hours ahead of pacific time, so 16 hours ahead of EST.)

QUESTION about Summer Term: Would you guys like to have summer classes? Or would you guys like to have a summer event? If we do the summer event, we can tweak the Quidditch idea to make it a bit longer (tournament like) and then we can expand some of the ideas. If we do the classes, we'll have to open up teachers' applications as soon as possible, and it will be a fairly short term. By tomorrow evening (EST) time there will be a decision!
Either way, there will be a summer Cup. If we do classes, it will be the normal way, but if we do the event points will be based on posting and participation.

You know my opinion on this already Icee.
I think we should go for the event. I love to teach but, the event may bring in more people to the guild and that may help with in-activeness.

I vote event. I don't have time to take or teach a class. It'll be fun to have a big event and RP with everyone, and like Tina said it may help with inactivity.
How exactly would we expand the event? How long would it go for?

Lyra Elizabeth How exactly would we expand the event? How long would it go for? Depending on how many people sign up, we could possibly have more than 2 teams, and pit them against eachother tournament style. So if there's 4 teams, we'd have Team A & Team B play eachother while Team C & Team D play eachother. Winners face eachother in the final battle.
Or if there's an odd amount of teams, Team A plays Team B, Team B plays Team C, Team A plays Team C. And the team who wins the most games (or wins the most points?) wins all.
Those are the most basic tournament-like setups I can think of.

I would love to teach an class, yet I am in favor of the event because I am working this summer and looking for work and I would not have time to properly teach a class.
The quidditch tournament would be great make it the World Cup and have teams that represent locations in the wizarding world. A team for city. here is the link to the cities on the harrywikia List of Cities

If we do the event (and we are since that's what majority is saying) we can: Host the Tournament (with methods being like Juni said) Have a Quidditch Avatar Contest The Stands (will still be the main thread) And we can throw in something else too. I don't want it to be a lottery exactly, but something close to that idea. Recruiting Contest** I'm not sure if everyone liked the idea, if not, we'll scrap it, and make something else up!

Those are the most basic tournament-like setups I can think of. I like the first idea best. I think keep it to 4 teams, and add another set of positions if we have to. It'll keep the tournament a good length, but not TOO long. It keeps things simpler, as far as who plays who, and means that one team doesn't have to sit out. If there's only enough people for 3 teams we may have to rethink and go with your other idea.
Have A & B , C & D play, and then the winning teams play for first and second, and the losing teams play for third and fourth.
If there ends up being 4 teams, so there are two games going on at once, we need to sort out how they can play at the same time. Perhaps post two trivia questions/riddles at the same time, one for each game (specify which - colors) and then when someone from one game answers theirs that game gets a new one. Does that make any sense?

Once again, I think that may be getting to confusing. We had a basic setup and now we are stating to change it again. I still think we should stick with 2 teams. I don't think that there will be enough people for 4 teams.
((Sorry, if that sound rude, it wasn't meant to be. My mom was in the ER for most of the day so, my nerves are shot right now. This is the only was I can think to say what I want right now.)))

I agree with Tina. We spent all that time planning, and now that we got it "finalized" we're changing it again
if you want multiple games at once you make more than one thread. But I think we should stick with what we had.

Either way, we will not limit the Quidditch game to fourteen players (so if we're only doing two teams, we're going to expand the times). Whoever wants to play should be able to sign up from now (or whenever Adonis sets up the thread) until Wednesday(tentative)?

Fine with me. Two teams and just extend the time.
