"Whats a tengu? Does it have something to do with a crow?" Alunn asked. "It's to bad your not a bard, then you could play music and touch peoples hearts, literally in some cases" Alunn began to pluck a song of tranquility over those in his power, which meant now about a good 1/6th of the population.

Logain had overheard the commotion and saw the grisly scene at the inn. His golden eyes narrowed and almost unintentionally revealed his dragon wings, but he made sure his control did not slip. There was no need to cause more disturbances. They called for a demon, but Logain knew that they would not find what they were looking for, and would likely riot in outrage over it. It was not his place to move unless they actually did riot, but during his observation he briefly saw the strings of aura that connected the people to whoever had bound them, and narrowed his eyes. If worse comes to worse I will sever those strings forcibly. But I need to know what triggers it first. He thought. From within the inn he felt a strange power, a healing power and it caught his attention but not negatively.
Azrael smiled. "We call the plants Lo'ulic, and the berries we have no specific name for and usually give them the same label as the plant that bears them." He told Miluiel.
Shinn was sniffing again, but this time recognized the scent and his tongue hung out hungrily. "I smell a rabbit!" He told his parents enthusiastically.

Miluiel nodded. She picked up one of the berries and popped it in her mouth. "Lo'ulic." She said practicing the name. "They are very good! How do you know the ones that are alright to eat?" She asked.
Miluiel smiled down at Shinn, "Congratulations Little Shinn!" She cheered. "Are you going to go and try to get it?"

"Demonic crows? Had a run in with a flock of them once, they chased me for miles till I put them to sleep" Alunn said. He felt the people were worked up past anything he could do so he stopped playing and drew the power away leaving the seeds planted. "So whats your goal in life Mr. Tengu?"

Azrael smiled. "Again, a wolf's enhanced sense of smell helps determine their ripeness. But for a visual clue you can tell by their color, with ripe ones being more of a purple color."
Shinn shook his head. "I already ate." He told her. "Don't wanna waste what can't finish. Thats what Opau taught me." He said. "But I'll come out and get one later!"

Miluiel turned another berry around in her hand, and examined it. "So these ones can be poisonous?" She asked. "What about these?" She asked pointing to some berries laying on the forest floor. She picked up one and showed it to him. "Are these ones safe?"
Miluiel looked down at Shinn. "I am glad that you learned that from your father. That is a wonderful lesson to learn.

"The main goal is to find whoever killed the Katori clan, and kill him/her. My clan didn't deserve to die, they were neutral. But then some *ssh*l* comes in and murders them like they were just another demon. Once my quest for vengeance has subtled down, I will continue to learn lots and lots of fighting styles."

Alunn whistled. "Reminds me of this vampire covenant I knew, all they did was heal and help the townspeople. They were pacifists. The villagers loved them, volunteers would go to the covenant and donate blood but they always lived. Then one day some Grace of Life do-gooder strolls in while a donation is going on and kills all of the covenant he can find. Thing is, he misses one. That one hides in the home for about a month but when he goes to the village, they despise him, and worship that murderer." He said. "Seems like the two of you are in the same boat"
