Desdemona looked at the deck, and swatted her tail around. that wasn't good. She knew how Hunter felt about his ship. before glaring at the woman in her grip, and opening her mouth for a retort before closing it again. damn her bones to the locker...but she did have a point. there was nothing signifying that Hunter was hers except her word on the matter. which before, had been more than enough to dissuade others. Well that and the fact he had two of her scales. but the little star eyes had taken those away.

And not the first time, hmm? Oh that got a look sent to Hunter. One of those scathing looks. So she didn't want to keep him, just fool around with him. and probably to annoy the hell out of her. Which had worked, devil woman.

"fine."

She set her down and walked over to Hunter, who was a bit amused for a moment and slapped him across the face, hard. left claw marks. before turning to Gem, and pointing at the bleeding marks.

"Those say he's mine.""

Before turning on Hunter and glaring daggers at him, while he glared back and wiped some blood off his face.

"And they better remind you to think before you go whoring around too."

Snarling at Hunter and shoving him out of her way before gliding herself back over to the gale claw, and up to the crow's nest to stew.

Hunter got himself up off the deck, and wiped a bit more blood of his face, glaring at the crow's nest. vindictive dragoness. before turning a glance to his deck with a frown. more repairing to do. But he didn't say anything, after all, they'd been playing with fire. he'd gotten burned this time.

Before malik grinned lightly, picking up Gem's hat and handing it to her.

"Well. I think that went better than it might have, don't you?"

Jewel one, Dragoness zero. She was quite pleased to herself and merely stood there with arms crossed, watching as she tried to lay claim. A retort bubbled in her throat but for the moment she let the dragoness rant and merely gave a laugh as she flew off, "Whores get paid honey! I'm in it for my own pleasure!", looking to Malik taking her head with a little nod. "That went quite well I would dare say, and thank you good elf. A pirate needs her hat." Putting it back on and running a thumb across it's front edge before another laugh and a point to hunter. "Might want to put a little rum on those, don't know where those claws have been. And she still doesn't get that I don't speak animal[/]." Looking to Malik once more she pointed to his hand. "See, he's a good looking man and he's wearing a wedding ring, thus he's off limits. I respect that. Do tell...did she scare you from your own pursuits of life and fun?"

Malik gave a slight smirk at the comment and a glance at his ring.

"Actually, she was a pursuit of fun. elven laws and old customs had to be broken, tried against, then had to go to another plane to confront other issues and people and problems, not to mention intimidation tactics and the like. and we live below the surface, in the Underfoot. a land of treachery and deceit, as well as plenty of violence."

though a glance at Gem.

"Besides. I don't intermingle in that manner with humans. In fact, my participation in this endeavor for the moment is due to my daughter."

Hunter shook his head lightly.

"I know exactly where her claws have been. But, I'll need to tend to this. Mister Richards, you have the deck, and fix those gashes. and someone get the medic to my quarters."

before heading to said quarters, and glancing back at Gem.

"Why is it every time something or someone gets hurt when you and I are together, I get the worse of it?"

"Mm, a man who can commit I like that to. All the good ones are taken or in love with themselves, I swear." Shaking her head with a smile and a laugh, hands on her hips. "Right right the elven thing, to each his own. Admirable that you're taking care of your daughter though, the little pale one with the blue ears tips, right? If I was your wife, I wouldn't be letting you go anywhere. I'd be too possesive and the like but you know that's me, and I'm not your wife." And casually looking to Hunter, "Because you, sir, do not know when to duck." Giving him a little wave. "Oh the fun of the sandseas. Enjoying yourself lord elf? I know I am. Richards! Get that man something to drink as well! Oh and Hunter...I do hope she hasn't turned you from wanting to have your own fun from whomever you please."

"The sandseas are not exactly my favorite place. But it has been an, eventful trip."

A small smile.

"Yes, that's my daughter. My wife in fact, insisted I come to check up on her once we found out where she was. She's about as stubborn as my wife when it comes to wanting to do things for herself. But we have something that we need to talk to those little people about. this temple...has some strange things about it."

glancing at her a moment.

"Perhaps you've noticed? this place is a giant preserving bowl. yet there's no bodies, no bones, nothing. even the spiritual energies of this place feels like someone ripped it free and moved it someplace. very unusual."

Hunter glanced at Gem.

"When has a woman ever gotten the better of me, especially by violent means?"

though once in his cabin, with a bottle of rum and the ship surgeon, stitching his face. hurt like hell, but the rum helped and it needed to get done. dragon claws still cut deep no matter what the form.

"Oh think what you want to think you old sand flea." Giggling lightly and plopping a hand on her hat, tipping it back a bit away from her face. "Sandseas aren't for everyone, Lord Elf. Well, every woman wants to be dependent yet cared for at the same time. Personally that's why I'm a pirate captain. Have my own crew, control my own world but have people willing to cater to my every womany need and emotional swing. Works out quite well I would indeed say so myself." Pause for a thinking look. "Well...I haven't seen them about in a while. But if I do see them first, I'll send them right to you. As for funny things...no magic things, magic and such voodoo and mental thingers are beyond my grasp. But I have noticed that little organic things have been left behind, at least in the way of bodies. But if the stories are true about this place...it doesn't surprise me."

Still hesitant, despite all that reassurance Savryn gave, if you could even call it that. She knew what she was doing though, from the looks of it, and he rooted himself in place and bit his lip as the extraction took place, unable to look away. It looked horrible, painful, and quite possibly brought tears to his golden eyes as images of another tragedy came to mind. The green tendrils of magical energy didn't capture his attention in the least, it was just the look of extreme discomfort on Jae's face. Flashes between hers and a certain other female dragoness. "Thank you, Savryn." Finally, he tentatively stepped closer and knelt beside her small form. "Jae...?" To touch her or not, he just didn't know anymore.

Eilynne did not approve of Desdemona's display but she said nothing, merely strolled up behind the elf who had mentioned a need to speak with her and her companion. "Questions asked often merely lead to more. In the end, the answers must be sought out for oneself but this you should know far better than any human lord elf. Why do you believe something more than what has already been told to you occurred here, lord elf?"

She shook her head. "Why is it that when you tell them to look away, they never do." But a dismissive wave given back to both of them as they merely gave their thanks and nothing more. Well good, meant she didn't have to snap bones for insolence. "Be gentle with her, she's probably not going to feel well...might want to get some food in her to boost her energy back up." Thusly walking away from them, Chylithair taking to the air in front of her to lead for her back to the ship. Climbing back up she gave a sigh and cracked her neck. "Can we go yet? Seems the longer we stay here...the more trouble that comes..."

She wasn't sure if she felt better before that or better after. It was an odd feeling...and yes it did feel like her skeleton was trying to rip itself out of her body. But she was doing her best to play tough...but it wasn't working too well. Despite as she may try, she was more or less still a mess. A slight convulsion every now and then that her body couldn't help as it was trying to process a type of trauma that it had never been put through before. A whimper from her, trying her best not to cry, as one hand seeking out Kaz who was closest, just anyone familiar she could get a hold of for some comfort. She was beginning to think she liked the poison better than that procedure. Felt so weak now.

Caden raised an eyebrow at the elf but didn't say a word even when she left them. She was an odd one but never the less he did give thanks to her for helping them out but didn't really say it because really there was no need. She did her job and knew that both the dragon and human were grateful that she helped. But right now Jae needed to be taken care of, it seemed that the 'healing' process took more out of her than any of them, expect for Savvy, had realized. Quietly he moved a little closer but stopped when Kaz went froward to tend to the dragon. Caden watched her for a moment then nodded. "It's best if we get her on board now. Bring her down to the galley to make her eat something like Savryn said." But he didn't want to rush anyone, after all it seemed that Jae went through the worse pain she has ever felt in her life by the looks of things. Though it was either that or allowing death to take Jae, which was something none of them wanted. So he stood there watching Jae and waiting for Kaz to pick her up, after watching the little show though he felt like he wasn't going to eat for a day or two.

Discomfort noises were just as uncomfortable for the one who had to hear them. Reaching for her outstretched hand, he took it and gently pulled her to him, dropping his lips onto her forehead a moment in a familiar gesture that had often given him comfort as a young dragon. "I'm here, Jae. You'll be alright soon." But also agreeing to the guard's opinion, he nodded to Raynes. "The salts against skin will get irritating if anything. I'll bring her back to the Gale Claw. You go see if something can be made for her, preferably something filling but also in liquid form for easier swallowing." Thus gracefully lifting Jae into his arms, he stood and walked back to the ship. No need to let the winds attack her frail form now. With some maneuvering, he managed to get them both down to a padded corner in the hold of the ship and waited for Raynes to return.

"Because death, little one, is a realm I am most familiar with."

turning about to notice her.

"There's nothing here. everything that dies leaves a spiritual imprint in the world around it. everything. plants, animals, people, insects. You would sense the death here, and the former life. even if someone moves out of a home, there's a shadow left behind."

gesturing to the temple.

"there's nothing here. a blank space, a void. yet it is obvious this place was home to some people for a considerable length of time. this makes me question whom, or what, decided to not only evacuate this area in haste, but do such a overindulgent job as to in effect erase any implication of anything existing here that was at one point alive, and making sure even the dead can't give a clue to what this place was like when it thrived."

"And of course, as previously mentioned, this place is a wonderful preserver. a huge salt bed. yet we find no scraps of clothing, not bones, no mummified remains of anything. in fact, the only cloth we found comes in teh form of things like drapes and tapestry, which also has apparently been cleansed of any living energy that may have been put into it during creation or by emotional attachment."

"Look there's one now. Little Lady, I do believe that the dragoness on board my ship was in a party that found one of those shards. Hopefully that will suit you as her being allowed back to this ship now. She's about as raving made as a female with clutch." Shaking her head before a look to the little broody elf who had joined them again. "We'll be pulling out soon enough from here. Let Hunter get himself fixed up and we'll all be running final checks on everything and then we can get out of this place. We need to keep our lead on Fang." Thusly slipping off the ship and heading back to hers, giving a glance to Mister Robin. "Good show with distracting Des...I'll make it up to you later okay? Oh and if she gets cranky, just throw her a chew toy. Other than that...preparation to leave Mister Robins, I believe our welcome grows short here."

"Good." A look over to see the little blue dragon who was perched on the railing of the ship on one side and she went below deck to find Shyrae, feeling her way around things and the like as well as following a life signature that she knew so very well. "How are things going with your dragon?"

She was more or less happy to cling to him, burying her face in his chest between involuntary noises and twitches, more or less limp for the most part in his hold. Okay, kill her now this was a horrible horrible thing. Necromantic things...scratch that off the list of things she wanted to and would gladly experience again. And once he had picked a spot that he deemed worthy good enough for rest, she had merely curled herself into as tight a ball she could get herself into. "I still feel bad..." Her voice was still shakey and rather low in volume.

Caden gave a light nod to the commander and smiled a little bit. "Alright I'll see you guys on the Gale Claw as soon as possible then." So off he went, down to the galley on the Chimera and he explained to the cook what he needed but also placed in something portable. About twenty minutes later he had a sack of water and some soup placed in a make-shift container so one could transport it with ease. So after gathering the necessary things he got off the ship and headed over to the Gale Claw, after a little help he found Kaz and Jae and smiled a little when he found them. "Hey I brought some soup and just some water for her to drink." Kneeling down he opened the container and stirred the soup with the spoon he had with him, it smelled really good. "Jae you hungry?" He asked as he looked to the white dragon, the smell should be enticing for her.

Alright, this was not a pleasant experience for him either but he swallowed his anxieties and tried to make her as comfortable as possible, considering present circumstances. He settled down stiffly himself, letting her lean against his chest and just gave her hand a squeeze. So helpless... And yet, it was rational that he didn't know what to do. That part killed him. A glance up at Raynes though, nodding in gratitude. "Soup is good. I hope the galley didn't give you too much trouble?" Spooning up a bit of the soup and lifting it to her lips. "Savryn said that you might feel better if you had something to eat. Try it."
