She kept talking about the different things with the Echoes. Told her all about the things that happened on Earth and just kept talking. She told her about DJ and all the things he said and all the things he did and once she started she just kept going. It probably helped that Jelena was so deep in drug world and not really listening.
Fear was probably keeping her talking as well. IT wasn't every dya you sat next to a gigantic wolf like creature that tried to bite you in two not an hour before. She kept petting at Jelena, never quit once and just tried to soothe her the only way she could. SHe really did hope that Jelena would come through this soon.

Okay he was defensive about it now. "Something that she would rather have no one know about. That includes visual and sound. Leave it alone..." It really wasn't his place to tell James what had her worked up...or that he just pumped his girlfriend with a double dose of concentrated detox nanos.
Again he moved subjects, bringing up what seemed tobe skematics as well as chemical levels in the creature. "Female, adn yes they are. Though from patterns it seems that two are asleep and one is 'awake' right now." Well as awake as one could be in a stasis.
Okay...at least she wasn't shaking anymore...and her the light wasn't so bothersome. So now it was really just an upset stomach, a bad taste in her mouth, a headache and sweating. Yeah this was a world of fun now wasn't it?
He only watched her with amber eyes as he continued his attention to Jelena really. Sure, razor sharp claws and teeth were all too precariously close but he wasn't stirring at all.

Now Jelena was sweating. Well Lillia took off the lab coat she'd put on and began to wipe at Jelena's forehead and face to keep the sweat from building up on her. Brushing back now damp hair from her forehead, she guided her down so her head lay in her lap and she kept up he rministrations.
"It's gonna be just fine Jelly, you're almost through it. Another hour or so and you should be done. Poor baby, you've really been through the ringer, haven't you? First your family massacred, then you're forced to relive it, then you take these pills so you forget but with it comes detoxification so you can get back to you life, then you have a Board meeting to go to."
A small pause, "Which by the way, I'm goign along and going to tell them the truth. You did nothing wrong. You weren't a leak, I was. Whether I meant to be or not, doesn't change the fact that I was. It was a stupid mistake, me being naive but it still happened and we all have to face that."

"Wonderful news. do the other heads ever come out of 'sleep' or is just the one always awake? and we got a girl...might have to make another one and make sure it's a boy."
Back to looking at the images.
"And I know what happened to her, the overview anyway. I was there during one of her Fein sessions, remember? I was curious about her present condition, that's all."

Can we make the room stop spinning? That would make me very very happy about right now. Even lying down in Lilia's lap like she was things spun. Yeah, she looked half dead still and drug land...but withdrawl land was a lot like drug land in apperance. It was just the symptoms that were different.
Oh wait she got that part. You're going to go to? How many times to I have to tell you it's not your fault. Oh the board would love this...bringing her own couple of defense attorneys so to speak. WOuld that irritate them? Hm that could be fun. Of course none of what she thought made it into words.
He had growled a little when Lilia laid her down in her lpa, seeing as it drew her off of him some. But that was corrected by getting up the slightest bit and curling himself tigher around the woman. His nose pretty much touched the pads of his back feet now.
"No they alternate or sometimes all awake, or all asleep. Seem to be independant of one another. Don't know if they're cognazint of each other though." THough somewhat of a shrug. "If this turns out nicely I'm sure Jelena would have no problem with that. Easy enough to control gender...she probably did in this one...to control viciousness most likely. LEarn that one from experience."
Okay even more defensive. Erik rolled his eyes and snickered slightly. "You don't even know the half of it..." What he thought he knew? He had no idea...no MAPS session would of lasted long enough to give him vital insight on it...Fein would have to terminate the program before Jelena lost it right there in the chair. "I"m telling you she's fine..." As fine as someone detoxing in a back lab with and Echo and an assistant could be. Personally he didn't like to watch Jelena detox...it was disturbing to him.

"wonderful. and yes, I know I didn't see half of it, and I know it was a lot worse then I saw. however, the physical reaction she had to that treatment was more than enough to know that it was something horribly devestating to her. Don't read into it like I want to know everything. We all have secrets and things we'd rather not remember."
Though a bit of a smirk at the gender thing.
"and here I though females were the more vicious of most species."

She ignored the Fenrir, yep just don't think about it Lillia. He's not there, he's not growling at you, he's not breathing on you. She liked animals, really she did. But this was moving into that dangerous territory with them she tried to avoid. Not that she could in her line of work and she usually really didn't care how ferocious they were, she still tried to make friends with them and usually succeeded.
Of course this Fenrir already had a mother and that was just fine with Lillia. She didn't play with overprotective animals, that just wasnt' a game she played. A glance at him for a moment as he wound himself even tighter around the two of them and she gulped. You'll be fine Lillia. Fine.
"How are you doing Jelly? Anywhere near through this?"

Boy was that the understatement of the year. But no deal, he was just trying to stall James and what not. Easy enough right? "Secrets like why you won't mess with unicorns?" Oh yeah, that story had gotten around to him but he didn't prod with it, only mentioned it for mere back up statement.
Then a shrug. "Usually only about pups. But it also depends on breed. Just so happens that the female gender was more suitable for the breed mix she started with. Controlling behavior isn't an easy task."
Ugh she could only wish so much couldn't she? But oh look, semi rational thinking was back at this point really. She was listing things in her head that she had to do and things she needed to do with the labs and the board and everything. Cesspool of thought really.
"Bad day..." Such as bad day...how the hell much of a does did he give her? This was horrible. Erik usually did this over a period of a week to her and here she was transgressing through various symptoms that usually only hit every other day. Bad day indeed.
The tail next to Lilia took to a quick wagging at the voice as the wolf whimpered once and nuzzled at her. He gave a soft bark befoe he kind of pawed at her with those massive sharp clawed paws of his. Though only the pads and fur touched her amazlingy enough. He's learned logn ago how to be gentle with mom and what happened when he wasn't.

Then sitting back by Erik.
"But yes, that's teh general idea. however as far as the breed..I woudl still think a female might be more aggresive. but Jelena knows better than I do about it. Also, for her birthday, we will be recieving a large shipment of equipment. a little fear in the beaurocrats got fast shipping and no questions about why. other than it's a needed thing."

Lillia smiled sympathetically. "Bad day is a gross understatment my dear. Try bad week, bad year, bad life, whatever works."
Nothing had really changed. She was still sitting there, Jelena's head in her lap, a huge fenrir curled about her body, though her protective instinct reared up when she saw that huge paw but relaxed when there were no cuts or anything from the equally huge claws. Obviously the Fenrir was used to this and Lillia stopped worrying. Didn't do any good anyway.
"You're gonna get through this Jelly. Just keep repeating that in your spinning mind. I know it sucks right now and it looks awful but you're going to get through it. I promise. And I''ll be here no matter what, the ever faithful assistant. You're the first to really give me a chance and this is the way I can show you my appreciation. I'm her for you no matter what you ever need. And Ill repeat this when you're functioning normally again because I want it to get through that thick head of yours."
A small puase, "Or maybe I should just download it onto your OODDS. Then I know for sure you'd get it." A chuckle with that, oh that was good.

"Exceedingly so." He checked his watch, hm how long had it been now? About an hour and a half? How much more time to work out the main bulk, another half hour? Eh he could stall for that amount of time surely.
"It's a varitable soup of breed traits in there, believe me, she knew what she was doing from the start. Trial and error are good teachers too. We've had more than one horrible accident." Though a raised eyebrow at him. "Wait...you got clearence to upgrade her equipment?" Which was a thing...because at five years one was allowed to put in for equipment upgrade...Jelena's firt three requests had been denied and she had sort of given up on it. The woman was a magician with equipment anyway.
About a half hour later, Jelena was sitting up on her own power next to Lilia, one hand idly petting at a fenrir who was over joyed and thumping his tail steadily on the ground. "This doesn't leave this room, you hear me?" WOrds were still a little slow and slurred.
Needless to say...Jelena had gotten irritable and snappy in her sudden awareness of the world around her. She felt absolutely horrible and everyone else was going to have to deal with that now weren't they? For the third time in the last ten minutes she tried to stand with little success. Good lord, Erik was going to get hurt for dossing her so high.

Lillia was goign to make a joke about telling everyone and putting it on the Fleet website but considering the way Jelena was currently feelign and acting she didn't think Jelly would take it as a joke and Lillia didn't want to deal wiht her boss like that.
"I know Jelena. Just like your history doesn't leave my confidence. The things you say and do in my presence are confidential I can assure you of that. You'll never have to worry about me telling, I know the value of a secret."
It was said solemenly and Lillia was certain that Jelena knew exactly what she meant. The Fenrir was happy and Jelena was getting much better which was a good thing. "Are you prepared for the Board meeting Dr. Trevale?" No nicknames while boss was being pissy. Dont' push buttons that should be left alone.

"Once again, a little fear goes a long way. They know me, and they know my tastes. when I requested upgrades to equipment to state of the art, I got teh same bs about it not being needed. then I told them about a very nice new Echo I helped and made primary designs and alterations to create. never siad what it was."
A chuckle.
"Got approval in twenty minutes. I'm a military man, and for once the stereotype worked in my favor. I can just imagine what monsters they think I helped create. thier probably picturing some King Kong sized beast with fiery breath and titanium rendering claws or some such nonsense. Or some deadly human intellected Predatorish thing. or that creature from those old Alien movies."

"Well good...because I will send you to Fein so fast it'll make your head spin." Snap much? And the fenrir with them seemed to be reflecting her mood as well, he wasn't as docile as before. But he kept getting his pats. A look to Lilia. "Sorry..." She knew full well seh was being a b***h.
She shifted uncomfortably. "I have what? A little over twenty four hours? I can be ready...not like I'm going to get much in edgewise but I know what I'm going to say." And whether or no Lilia wanted to blame herself, Jelena could blow a hole in that theory.
"Those movies scared the hell out of me when I first saw them. Class was studying ancient civilization's take on what they thought the future was like or what lurked in the darkness of space. I think it was the acidy spit thing that got to me...or the fact that they always looked wet." A little shrug.
"Well that will just perk her right up and make her squeal that's for sure. She had really given up on trying for her upgrades at this point. Said she could do just as well if not better with her current equipment...that breaks every other month." Five years of wear and tear would do that though now wouldn't it?

"Then it's a fitting birthday present, now isn't it. not to mention it's needed. I can already see plenty of wear and tear on the enviroments. for all we know some of the toxic light chemicals that make up some of the illusionary parts coudl be filtering into air supplies or whatnot, and not to mention the growth chambers and the like being sorely out of date. and it may help survival rates and lower variants if those things are upgraded as well."
