The reason I think it's illogical and I tease, is because keeping them separated would just show that they are not fit to be with the rest of society, or something... And yeah I do not know what it's like to be teased for being GAY, but I have been a victim of bullying most of my life, and I have seen enough s**t on tv to see that homosexuals are treated just the same way as black people were 60-70 years ago... probably worse actually, now that society have far more freedom than they once did... I really hate bullying, but at the same time I do it quite often... I suppose it's my way to cope or some s**t... but anyways, I think the reason bullying of sexuality, ethnicity, or what ever... is because America is a "Free Country". So basically, kids have it in their heads that because their country is free, they can do what ever they want... Seriously, America actually has the highest crime percentage... and psychologists and all those brain boxes do not seem to realize that the word "free" is as powerful a word as "Love" "Hate" "Trust" etc... And I remember that one girl who couldn't go to prom with her female partner (this or last year) and there was like, this big uproar and shiz...
