I am a loser seventh grader and i have to use a school owned instrument... it sux having cheap parents! oh well... 3rd chair isn't that bad. Im teased because every one UNDER estimated me... but i was the only girl in trumpet section that made honors sooo HA! oh well ima shut up now... bye! trumpets live forvever!!!

x-x brah x-x yay trumpet :3 at my school i can only play 20 songs at least and i named my trumpet DENT ;D o ya im defently a geek for band bum bum BUM~! i love when people say "i can play (insert number here) songs"...it's like they can't read music O.o..i can play pretty much anything you put in front of me if you give me a enough time...

I'm a beginner when it comes to trumpet. I started at the beginning of the school year (I'm in 11th grade. sad.) I had to switch to a brass instrument because my school doesn't have any other violins in it. (So unfortunate..) And to tell you the truth I don't hate it like I thought I would. The only thing I hate about the class is the people that don't even try to play. I started at the same level as them and I'm at the top. I wish I could learn something new instead of practicing the same boring thing every day. Stupid ppl hurry up and master the stupid scale like me!

Same reason why one would have a series of different mouth pieces. Not to mention the fact that you can't stay on a student/intermediate horn forever if you want to keep improving. talk2hand

Which that is true Im 1st chair in our band I think we have 16 good trumpets we have 7 in the Intermediate Band but I think 9 in the expert band and ummmmmm in the begginer band there is like 10 D: and they cant play worth s**t but I am being moved up to Expert Band so yay! biggrin

ok so play two instruments,the trumpet is my second one.It's my older sisters who just graduated last year,she had it all the way through middle school andthen high school,as first chair,and never even needed to even get a new mouth peice,why do you guys buy so many things for your music?Its pointless to buy so many unnessary things.Besides that,I really suck at the trumpet,ive been playing it for about 2 months,i've got the noats i can get the fingerings,and hit the right noats,but i sound like crap!Its pissing me off.and my band teacher says i should get a bigger mouth peice,but i ask what the hell for.my sister never needed one.She played on a 7 from the begining to the end!HELP!
