Lech slapped his forehead. "Did everyone get Gambler syndrome? No body love me anymore." Alas he wasn't really hurt. He had plenty to satisfy him when he got back to his underground club. But, he wanted Gambler the most. He enjoyed trying to chase something that was unattainable. It was the love of the hunt as some would call it. He looked at the door as Joker nodded to Eldin and closed it. He stood guard at the door. "Sheesh. It's like your guarding a precious jewel Joker. It only makes me want to go after her more." Joker crossed his arms over his chest not at all happy. "You will learn to keep your mouth shut." "I was only complimenting my bird of paradise, my little heavenly angel." Lech said still looking at the door. Joker shook his head. "It's a shame that your one of few in this city who is actually trustworthy." He muttered. Lech smiled at Joker. "That's because it's a shame that only one person in this city among the bosses that has respect for everyone equally. Also, your boss happens to be the only delicious female to be in charge of the whole city." Lech licked his lips like a cat when he said that.

Kyoshi looked at Ali for a moment. "You know, I think so." He leaned towards her ear as if he was telling a little girl a secret. "I think we made up for the best." He said and stood up straight looking at her with his usual stony mask but his eyes were soft and calm.

Gambler watched Joker close the door. Lech was just too much to handle sometimes. Yeah she bribed him with her feminine wiles but it's not like she would lower herself to do so. Besides, the last time she ever bedded anyone was a long, a** time ago. She has been swamped with work that she didn't have time to have a real good time. She mentally shrugged. 'Peace on earth is more important I guess.' She thought. She sat up straighter, throwing her feet over to the side to get up. "Thanks Eldin but I think I can take it from here. I wouldn't want you scarred from seeing me......" She teased lightly. She wanted to take the metal out in the shower that way it would have been easier to see it.

Eldin glared at her lightly. "And I need to make sure that while you're taking care of it, you don't end up either hurting yourself or getting hurt. Sorry Miss Gambler, but you went from almost dead to barely walking to fighting to coming back with shrapnel in your stomach. I'm afraid that, as a doctor, I can't let you deal with that on your own." It wasn't that he was being a perv, because in his mind, Gambler was hot, but just not his type. It was that he was a medic, and in certain situations, the medical authority surpassed the mafia boss'.


"Are you sure?" Ali didn't believe him. In her innocent mind, if they mae up for the best, Kyoshi would have nailed Lech in the face for winking at Dusk like he did. In her innocent mind, Dusk would be the one talking to him, not Ali.


Giving the man another disgusted look, Dusk spoke. "You are disgusting..." She couldn't see how someone would act that way, when it was obvious that the person on their mind had no interest, and no one liked them.

"As did I and a few others..." But, Dusk let the subkect drop, if she didn't then the woman was going to kill this guy. He was disgusting, and it was just pathetic and revolting on how he acted. It was as if women were nothing but pleasure toys for him...at least that's how Lech came off. But Dusk didn't think that she was all that far off.


Ali sighed and hugged Kyoshi's legs. "I want you two back together..." She muttered. "She was happier...and not as upset..." It didn't matter what was said, Ali would always know what the true thoughts were. It was her blessing and her curse.


"You can eat after we get you cleaned up." Eldin supported Gambler, not trusting her to be ok on her own. "Lead the way on where you wish to do this, but I've gotta clean up your wounds before they get infected." Now, the youngest elf was in full medic mode. Deny him, and Eldin would put you in such a deep anestisia induced sleep, he could perform fifteen surgeries on you and you wouldn't feel a thing.

Lech just smiled. It was all funny to him. He laughed at everything he did and at what others did. "You did but none of you are after my bird of paradise. So, to me, that makes her fair game." He rested his chin on his hand. Joker just glared and had this bad feeling about something.

Kyoshi gave her a small smile. "It takes alot of work Ali. A lot of hard work to be together again. Right now, there's to many threats-" Kyoshi was intruppted when Raid came in, clasping the seraph on his shoulder and whispering in his ear. Kyoshi became serious again. "I want everyone out of this house. Take the kids and go to some place safe. Don't tell me what it is." He said to the others, urging Ali away from him. He followed Raid out to where Monty was. Monty looked coldly at the body on the ground. "What is the meaning of this?" Kyoshi said. Monty shrugged. "What business to do have?" These guys were very cold hearted to not even try to help the poor man because they didn't trust anything. Monty looked around. "He has a demon's scent on him." He would know, he used to be a general for the devil himself and well it was a rare thing to have any demons in this city. Not that they were haters or anything, it was just most were afraid of powerful seraphs.

Gambler rolled her eyes. "I guess we can do this here. Just no peeking at anything that your not supposed to or I'll do something so bad to you......" She couldn't be like that to Eldin so she stopped her teasing. "After you doctor." She said, taking her burnt jacket off, throwing that to the wall. Her side was pretty nasty looking. It hurt but she didn't show any signs of pain, at least in the surface. Inwardly she was cursing everything word she knew in the book. She began to take her now bloody dress shirt off. Thank god for the invention of bras. A part of her would have acted like a brazilian and be flaunting it but she was really shy at the moment and kept looking at the floor.

the rebel rolled over suddenly choking up blood anytime he moved or tried to talk " you...... he.... big beast..... cough cough..... two....of.... cough." than man collapsed choking up more blood. trying to move was nearly imposable his was riddled with fang marks from where Ash had carried him part of the way.


Lisan had flown ahead knowing his aura or scent would give him away. Ash however was made and not born. and the method made him very hard to detect unless you knew what to look for. he sat in a deeply shadowed area just within earshot.

Eldin nodded and did so. As he treated the wound, it already began healing, once it was cleaned, because of the liquid. Only problem, it felt like he was using acid on Gambler. Which...he guessed it would be counted as one, but in an odd sense. Getting the shrapnal out of the wound, he muttered, "Damn...could you get hurt any worse?" He knew that she could, because this wasn't the worst wound he had treated before. But...for his new boss, and for her being a boss period, it was bad.


Rave did a slight twitch, as did Kalore. They were within ten feet of this man, and it was odd. The thought that Eldin would do something to Gambler was so ludacris...it actually made Kalore smirk a little. He knew that if Eldin wanted to, the boy could charm anyone, but he also knew that Gambler was the opposite of the kind of girl Eldin went for. "Would you mind not being as loud, please, sir? Eldin needs to concentrate." Kalore nodded to what Rave said, "She looked like hell..."

Gambler held her tongue against the pain. It did hurt like hell. She looked down. "Actually yeah I could have gotten hurt worse. I ducked before one hit me in the head and cut the head off some guy. So, I count my lucky stars that it wasn't my head." She said. "If you can't do it, I'll take it out." She offered. This sort of thing didn't bother her. Had it been someone else she would have flipped the lid in concern. Gambler was a women. What do you expect?

Lech nodded still looking at the door. "You know for her looking like hell, she did has a lot of guts or stupidity to have done what she did." He said.

Monty dropped the man. He jumped back with a fearl growl. Raid was ready to shot the body and Kyoshi was ready too, but with his hand ready to shot out light orbs. Deadly light orbs.
