Lin had known instantly when Dymetri was by her side again, albeit subconsciously since she was still sleeping. Elves slept in a meditative way, so they were hard to wake up under normal conditions, but if there was danger nearby, their incredible senses would know it and they would wake up instantly.

She knew the moment when Dymetri was next to her because she smelled his incredible smell and felt him. And she felt instantly calm when he was beside her. She didn't feel the need to have to be on guard slightly in her sleep. She knew he would protect her.

She never even felt the cold when they were outside or the motion from moving. She did, however, feel the hand on her cheek and hear his deep, soothing voice calling to her. She then smelled his scent and the beautiful scents of nature, of being outside.

She opened her eyes, her eyes turning bright blue, and immediately recognized where they were. The cliff!! He had brought her back up to the cliff, and they were going to watch the sunrise!

She sat up quickly and smiled brightly and excitedly at him. "Oh Dymetri! What a wonderful surprise! Thank you for bringing me here, to this spot, and at this time!"

She gasped, though, when she thought of something else. A look of deep concerned appeared on her face. "Wait! Won't the sun hurt you, though?! Even in the shade, won't it at least burn your eyes?"

((Fwah.... xp But I'm no good with romance.... I'd mess up the scene! Unless ImEx thinks she can do this all on her own?))

Back at the shack, Cook looked at the clock above the mantle for about the millionth time, and then started his pacing again. It was almost six in the morning, and Danni still wasn't. She was almost always home by three, but it was practically three hours past that, and he hadn't gotten so much as a phone call. And when he'd tried to phone her, he'd gotten her voicemail. If he didn't want to risk the wrath of those who lived in the forest, he would've gone in after her. But he believed he'd have felt something if anything had happened to his...daughter. The word still came strangely to his mind, but it was the truth all the same.

Finally, he decided he had no choice, and he picked up his phone. Dialing a number he'd memorized weeks ago, it took four rings before Ambrose picked up, sounding sleepy and annoyed. "Yeah?" He demanded gruffly, and Cook was already slipping on his shoes as he spoke. "It's Cook. Your sister hasn't come back from the forest yet, I'm starting to get worried. I need you to come with me and look for her." He said, and there was no trace of sleepiness in Ambrose's voice now as he replied. "Give me two minutes. I'll meet you at your shack." Then he hung up, and Cook pulled a shirt on, pulling a jacket on over it.

Ten minutes later, the two were setting out into the forest, with the sun just beginning to rise. There were no words spoken between them, as they walked through the dark forest, the thick trees blocking out the sunlight. Finally, Cook stopped walking, and raised his fingers to his mouth, whistling. Within moments, Sun Dance was jumping out of the bushes, barking once and rubbing against Cook's leg.

"Bring me to her, boy. Where's my girl?" He said, and Sun Dance seemed to nod his head, then turned around, walkign into the bushes again and turning his head to see if he was being followed. Eventually the dog led them to Danni's clearing, where the two froze just where the trees ended. Danni had her hands wrapped tightly around the hilt of a black bladed sword, and a black fog seemed to surround her, emanating from the sword itself. She seemed to be glowing, her face controrted with pain, but there was a determined glint in her fark eyes.

Sweat ran down her body, her cloak discarded a few feet away, her feet bare and her sleeves rolled up. There were dark marks under her red rimmed eyes from lack of sleep, and her fingertips seemed to be bleeding, the crimson liquid running down the blade. "No...Not this time!" She suddenly called out, not noticing the arrival of her brother and Cook. "I control you, damn it, not the other way around! Stay out of my head, you damned spirits!" She cried, her head falling back so she shouted to the sky. Her body radiated with dark energy, and the power in her voice contradicted with the battered shape her body was in.

Suddenly she released the sword with one hand, and brought her free hand to her mouth, sticking her thumb in her mouth. She bit down until she tasted blood, and pulled her thumb back so she could see the blood dripping down onto her palm. She ran her bleeding thumb across the black blade, using the blood as ink to write some sort of strange symbols on the blade. Under her breath she muttered a spell in the language of the Ancients, and then, in a louder voice that could've reached the heavens, she announced. "With this sealing spell I put you under my control. I bind you to me, and you will bend to my will. With the power invested in me by Fate, you shall acknowledge me as the true master of the Sword of the Ancients." She said, and the Sword seemed to grow even darker before suddenly there was blinding light, a flash of magic so strong it had Cook and Ambrose staggering back a step or two.

When the light finally dimmed, it revealed Danni standing weaponless in the middle of the clearing, swaying on her feet. "Izzy!" Ambrose called out when she almost fell on her face, and she turned her head enough to see the two new arrivals. "Daddy...bro...I did it...It's mine...s**t..." With this final expletive, she fell to the ground, and Ambrose barely managed to catch her. He hefted her up into his arms, then looked over at Cook, who shook his head. "She never ceases to surprise me...Now, let's get out of here." He whistled for the dogs, and together the little group exited the forest.

((Are you asking me to go ******** myself through roleplay?))

Pleasure filled him to the brim when she woke up. She liked the surprise, and even though he knew she would, it made him feel accomplished.
A smile a day makes the vampire stay.
"Doesn't matter much," he said, reaching over to smooth out her visible concern. "I'll just keep my eyes on you while you watch it. Even though I may feel a tad guilty."
He smirked, kissing her cheek. "The view I've got is much better than yours."
The sun slowly rose, breaking into the previous night, turning it into day.
Dymetri did what he said he would; watch Lin, keeping his back to the sun. Every so often he would change the style of his hair slightly to help the small pains. At least he wouldn't change, though. That only happened if his eyes were directly exposed.
Which they weren't, not at all.
Dymetri took Lin's hand and kissed it, enjoying seeing her.

Night floated above them "You know for someone I'm soul linked to shes impossible to keep up with ... " He frowned looking at Danni. He landed on the ground squatting beside her running his dark eyes over her. "jeez Danni you love putting yourself out on a limb ..." He gave out a sigh looking at the other two. "She should be fine ... just out for awhile like what normally happens when there is energy fluxes like the one she just went through." He shrugged carelessly beginning to float again .

Chris on the other Hand woke punching at the air with his fist. A cold sweat ran down he face, as he gasped heavily. "Dame it ... another one!" He looked at his fist before unclenching it To see that his nails had dug into his palm causing blood to run down his wrist. He got up angered looking at the wall in front of him a dark frown on his face. "This had better end soon!"

((Awww! Dymetri's being so sweet!))

Lin didn't even try to hide the look of love that she was sure glowed brightly from her eyes. She hadn't ever said it to him, so she was going to wait until the sunrise was over. After he had gone to all the trouble of bringing her here and even staying with her while the sun rose, even though it was very dangerous of him to do so.

It didn't disappoint. The sunrise was incredible. All of the colors, yellow, orange, even purple... they all looked so radiant in the sky. No matter how many sunrises she saw, each new one was different and incredible. She never grew bored of it. Plus, this one was even more special because Dymetri was with her. He couldn't see the sunrise himself, but with how he was looking at her and the emotions she was feeling radiating off of him made the entire time so magical and special.

After it was over, she felt Dymetri gently grasp her hand and kiss it. His lips felt like a spark of fire on her hand, and it was soothing. The warmth spread in her hand. She didn't know how the cold lips of a vampire could always feel so warm against her skin, but they did.

When he was looking up at her again, she smiled lovingly and said softly, speaking with her whole heart, "I love you, Dymetri."

((That'd be awesome.))

His mouth slightly parted.
Did she just.. ?
When he just.. ?
And they just.. ?
It wasn't the words that made him pause, it was the face she made.
He had many people tell him that they loved him, and of course he had said it back. But it was as if she was wearing her emotions as a mask.
He was able to sense that she truly loved him.
Was love even real?
That was a question he'd ask himself many times before. He'd always come up short though, not ever feeling love to be able to fully explain why it doesn't exist.
Just because you've never felt it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

So, within a couple seconds that he had left to answer her or else it would be plainly obvious that he was shocked by her words, he began thinking.
He took her there, yes, but did that mean he loved her?
He basically spent forever and a half angry at everyone and himself when she left to be with her Elven family, but did that mean he loved her?
He shared with her his most private life-- his real life-- and all his point of views on almost everything, but did that mean he loved her?

He cherished every single moment he had with her and played back all of her smiles and laughs and anything he ever did to make her happy.
Yeah..
That meant he loved her.
"I love you too, Lin."

Cook looked at Night, having gotten used to his daughter;s guardian over the past few months. "You're telling me. The girl never stays in one place for more than thirty seconds..." He muttered, shaking his head. As they entered the shack, Ambrose went up the stairs, putting Danni up in her bed. When he came back down, Cook was setting out coffee on the table, and Ambrose gratefully took a cup of the steaming brew.

"So...Night," Ambrose said, scratching his head and yawning after scowling at the clock on the wall. "What's it like being charged with the impossible task of keeping my sister out of trouble?" He asked, interested to know what the guy did all day and why he hadn't gone insane yet.

"Interesting to say the least, But I've managed to keep her out of some trouble ... altho lately it's been finding her.," Night sighed looking younger now then he had before. "She's a unique case ... Never have a met a more determined human in my years." He shrugged landing next to the table looking at Ambrose. "I'm personally surprised ... your not like the rest of your family, your ... different from them Ina good sense." He voice almost sounded like a normal 13 year old when he said that but quickly regained it's dark eeriness by the end.
