Jakar grabbed the controls to the fighter and directed it back towards the waterfall. The ship lurched slightly, but he corrected it as the ship neared the hidden cave mouth. Jakar slowed the throttle slightly, worrying that he would end up hitting the rock face. He opened his senses in the Force and discovered that the ship was in the right trajectory. Jakar pulled the fighter into the hidden cavern, directing it away from the various rocks that jutted from the roof and floor, then set it down roughly on where he thought it was previously located.

Coruscant, Astral Chaos, docking bay 94

Melissa looked up at the time piece on the wall and was surprised at how much time had passed. Typing in one last entry into her datapad Melissa logged off the terminal and stood up. Collecting the few things she had brought with her she made her way out of the library, hood pulled up over her head, her face hidden with in it’s dark shadow. She left the Temple via a different route than the one she had come by but once off Temple grounds she headed back to the starport.

Melissa had looped the starport once before heading back to the docking bay that the Astral Chaos was berthed in. Entering the bay she was pleased to see the ship still parked on it’s landing legs, but no sign of any activity outside of the ship. She senses told her otherwise and she walked up the ramp and turned down the corridor leading to the engine room.

“Hey there hot-stuff.” She smiled at him entering the room. “Wha’cha working on?”

Randall felt Melissa approaching in the Force and looked up, smiling, when she approached. "Oh, just fixing up the left-side on-planet repulsor. She was tilting a bit when I brought her down." he said, brushing a few rogue strands of hair out of his eyes. Patting Tee Nine on the head, he continued. "This little droid really knows his way around a ship. He's been pretty helpful so far. We just finished, actually."
Getting stiffly to his feet, Randall shoved his hydrospanner between his belt and his pants, next to his fusioncutter. Picking up a rag he'd left ont he ground next to Tee Nine, he wiped off his filthy hands before dropping the rag unceremoniously down onto the ground.
Looking up at Melissa, He asked "So, how did your little outing go? Did you find everything you needed?"

“Almost,” She pulled out her datapad and activated it. “You ever think about working free-lance for the Republic? I have some hot info on a few battle sights that have yet to be clamed by other salvage operators.” A sly grin crossed her face. “But that would mean that you would have to get your salvagers license and be registered with the Republic, unless you would rather sell what we find on the black market.”

"Well, that's a difficult choice. Work with the Republic, or work with the Black Market." He said, scratching his head. "Under normal circumstances, I'd rather avoid dealing with the government, but the Black Market isn't really an option for me." He stood silently for a second before continuing. "I'm not really sure with the procedure to get a salvager's license, but it can't be that difficult."
Suddenly remembering something, Randall started and reached into his pocket, pulling out a few cred-chips. He held them out to Melissa in his open palm. "Here's your cut from the fish delivery. You've been a real help."

“Oh, wow. Thanks.” Melissa said, collecting her credits. “I had forgotten about that.” Tucking it away into one of her pockets. “Well I’ve never had to get a salvagers license for myself but I’ve known others who have. I can’t think it would be all that hard. As long as your background check comes back clean it should be no problem. It’s far cheaper for the Republic to hire privet contractors than to pull ships and men from the battle lines.” She shrugged her shoulders again. “If you want to just run cargo I can go look up republic bases that need supplies like food stuffs and what-not.”

Sre'Val VII was what the galaxy called the world. But even in the dropship he could understand why the team that had wrest it from sith control called it Soldier's Hell. It wasn't the barren look from space that gave him that impression, it was the smell. An odor that ripped into the cabin when they'd first opened the sliding doors to peer out at the world. It was a smell familiar to every soldier in the age of blasters. It was the smell of burnt flesh.

The planet's surface had been a teeming jungle just a month before, but now an orbital bombardment had turned the jungle to carbon, the ground to glass, and everywhere there was the molten lakes of lava where mass-driver rounds had shattered the world's thin crust. He'd read the reports, how the sith had lured the republic to the world in order to slaughter them, but that was not why he was here. Buried somewhere in that rubble or vaporized in the rain of destruction where the remains of two thousand comrades. The bait the sith had arranged for their trap.

His men. He shuddered, the damnable sith had used his men as stand in for their own, never alerted them to the trap they'd laid and waited until the republic had finished them before destroying them, and to add insult to injury they'd sent a notice to them, that they'd failed in their duties and payment would not be forthcoming.

"Sith..." He breathed with all the malice his soul could wield. He turned to look at the woman that stood beside him. Slowly she nodded, "We'll make them pay Bahl. Of that you can be sure. We'll make them pay."

Bahl Septin nodded slowly, "By the time we're finished sith will be nothing more than a curse word for a race of extinct demons."

"Damn right." Selenne answered him. Yes, the Mercenary Coalition was out for blood, and wouldn't stop until it'd had its fill, and every sith lord's skull upon a platter.

"Well, Cargo's my specialty, but it pays to expand your repertoire." He said, thinking the process of obtaining a salvage liscence over. "Ah, kriff, why not? I don't have anything bad on my record, and your ex-jedi status can't hurt us." He realized as soo as he said it that he might just have brought up something that could have been painful for Melissa to think about. Not sure, he concluded, "Or we could, uh, leave that part out if you want."

Volgen had spent enough time with the girl. She was getting it. It might be at the cost of his life but he cared not.

" Gray, we still have not gotten word from Nakara. I am patient, but this is even growing on my nerves. I can only sit counting credits for so long. " His hand lifted and sorted the pile and then lifted up in the air with the force. As it floated about he smiled.

" This Sonya... much to learn, but much power under her. Can't stand Jedi and their push over ways. Hate the Sith for always trying to KILL each other. " Volgen eyed Gray.

" If I may, the Jedi are simple tools. The Sith are simple weapons. Both useless if ya ask me. "

" Hrmm. You have a point. "

The dropship settled onto the grey ground with a crunch that echoed of broken grass. Slowly Bahl and Seleene stepped onto the ground which crunch and shattered beneath their weight. Ahead they saw a structure, what had once been the garrison. It seemed to have been melted, but retained much of its space. If there were to be any remains from the attack they would be hear, buried in the rubble protected from the burning turbolaser barrage by that which had entombed them.

As they walked slowly toward the garrison Bahl's eyes wandered across the other ships parked beside the structure, Body Count, Seraphin, FRICK, Contraband. Four corporate armies united under a single banner, and each had lost someone in the molten slag. Friends, comrades, family. They all felt the same hatred, not of those that killed them, but of those that betrayed them.

Slowly they walked over to where a handful of bodies had been laid, draped in the simple blankets that had been used to carry them out. Some were little more than ash shaped by a skeleton, while others seemed miraculously intact. Seleene stopped as her eyes rested upon am intact face peering skyward. A woman, about her age.

"One of yours?"

Seleene slowly nodded, "Lafri, Lafri Jolas. She was with me since... since we founded Body Count, and now she's part of one."

A voice echoed across the lifeless ground. "Chairman!" Slowly Bahl turned as a runner came up from the dropship. He handed over a Datapad and started back.

Glancing at the pad a slow snarl slid over his face, "Seleene?"

"A contract?" The woman asked as she turned back to him.

"What do you know about Givins?"

Astral Chaos

She looked at Randall for a moment, a blank expression crossed over her delicate features, as if she was caught up in a daydream. In less time then it took to blink an eye the look passed and she refocused her brilliant red eyes on him.

“No,” She shook her head, lavender locks swaying about cloaked shoulders. “I think that it would be better to mention that part if we really don’t need to.” She clasped her hand behind her back and smiled girlishly at him, looking at him through lavender bangs. “It would point a finger as to how you got a hold of data that’s not scheduled to be released yet.”

"Ah, so that'll be our little secret, eh?" Randall said, grinning devilishly. "Well, I'll get started with the kriffing beurocratic process tomorrow, I don't have the energy today, plus it's getting kinda late. I'm probably gonna hit the sack early, unless there's something you wanted to do."

“Oh, I don’t know, It’s been a long time since I’ve been on Coruscant.” Melissa grinned. “I was thinking of going out, maybe hitting a tap caf or something. Pity you don’t have the energy to stay awake,” She turned to leave, but paused just shy of stepping totally out of sight. “I’m going to change out of these stuffy robes, if you want to tag along I suggest that you freshen up and put something clean on first.” lavender lock of hair swaying behind her was the last thing Randall saw as she disappeared down the hallway, heading to her room.

Ritt adopted a stance of defense of his own. "You've yet to show me an attack." His blade twirled around left to right, from hand to hand. He extended a hand, picking up an empty box and throwing it in her direction.

"In battle, defense and offense must be used. Especially in battle, you don't have time to wear your opponent down."

Nakara shifted in his chair, watching the combatants. The Echani was moving rather well. His skills had been hiding with each step up. But the Sith could almost make a bet he knew the winner already. Cene may have had the strength and stamina, but the echani's dexderity was extraordinary. Little sparks jumped synapses in Nakara's fragmented left hemisphere, as he considered the application of this person's data used for a more nimble assault droid, perhaps even a stealthy jedi hunter-killer model.

"But how would I keep him subdued?" he asked himself rhetorically. "And where is that Defel. I sent Sonya to meet him, he should have been here by now."

"Ah, why not?" Randall said, mostly to himself. Heading to the 'fresher, he vigorously washed his hands and face clean of the accumulated mess from an hour of starship maintenance. When he was done cleaning himself off, he changed from his piloting gear to the clothes he saved for going out.
He paused for a second over his blaster. Nobody cared if you were carrying in the slummier districts, but Coruscant police would probably object to him carrying a weapon around in any of the nicer parts of town. He wasn't sure if the tapcaf Melissa had in mind would be in an area where weapons were discouraged, or one where weapons were paramount for survival.
Compromising, Randall left his blaster and its holster in his room, but took his jacket, which had a knife strapped inside for emergencies, and put it on over his nicer clothes. Ready to go, Randall stepped out of his room and headed for the common area of the Chaos ready to meet Melissa, or wait for her to finish getting ready.
