"'Little buddy'? I'm in college. Let's save pet names for pets. Anyway, yeah. Kind of. You may remember a certain conversation I had with Kayla, though, when I first met her. She explained in no uncertain terms that her magic works differently than mine - significantly differently. Chakras aren't as far off, but just focusing on something you've never consciously used won't help you, but it will start to mold your technique, Keldan's telling me. It's like... for elementalism, you can use sigils, chakras, stances, and whatever else might be able to properly channel the magic. Sigils are the most common because Warlocks had to remain secretive and India was pretty far away; practicing stances would lead to suspicion, whereas writing things out was fairly discreet.
"What I'm saying is that it's probably bad to switch from one discipline to the other very quickly. If you switch over to chakras without first getting a grounding in the base chakra and learning how each builds off the others, the strength will be empty, though you will at the very least increase your clarity of mind.
"And now, I think sleep couldn't possibly hurt me, so if you don't have any more questions, that's what I'm gonna hit up in the next few seconds."

Paul was not listening to anyone or anything in particular. He appeared to be deep in sleep already, having sprawled himself across several seats with the armrests pushed up. Combined with pillows in proper locations, he'd created himself a very, very comfortable little bed.

Fyrin and his men were much as they had been on the trip into LA - they had more or less sequestered themselves, and they were all sitting in a little circle. None of them spoke; none of them moved. It was an odd sort of affair, and the separation was hardly socially helpful. At the moment, however, Fyrin knew it didn't matter. They had their own matters to discuss; Fyrin had his own matters to think upon.

((EDIT: A fascinating question for you people: Should I, if I should so happen to stumble upon a great idea, try to start an RP too? I mean, presuming it were brilliant, wildly successful, etc. that would give you chumps a third one to worry about, probably here in Level 2 as well...

I dunno. I was just thinking upon it - pondering the wisdom of such a concept.))

"First class!" Agnese yelled happily, running to one of the seats. Of course her shoe was caught on the carpet and she met the floor of the airplane.

"Ow..." She whimpered sitting up. "Don't all rush here at once..." She glared at an MIB as she spoke. "Your suit is seriously tacky. And your hair is terrible, did someone go at it with a chainsaw or something?"

She stood and dusted herself off, "Oi! Keshi, since we are quite obviously Not trying to keep a low profile, let's move up front to...First Class! I'll buy you a drink or something."

((Uhm, I'm gonna need heads up on any visions is going to be seeing, unless you plan to fully control them.))

"An automatic weapon, actually," the MIB replied. "And seriously, if you can convince whoever decided we should fight in suits that these are bad combat gear, I would love you forever," he added with a chuckle.

Takeshi chuckled at Agnese's behavior and followed her. There was plenty of time on the flight, anyway, and with demons and a mundane human gunner backing them, what could go wrong?

After what seemed a long time, Fyrin and his men seemed to almost dissemble. They turned away from their circle, and started to sit in their own chairs. Fyrin himself moved more towards the group of Warlocks, taking a seat somewhat near Siber. He didn't say anything; it was clear he was waiting for someone to engage him in conversation, as he had nothing to say.

Renard was seeing how fast he could spin a cube in his palm with kinetics; he appeared both bored and fixated. He seemed rather caught up in his time-wasting process.

If someone had gone into the bathroom of the airplane, they would have found Gennady repeatedly flushing the toilet and trying to determine the mechanism by its sounds.

Agnese let her lip curl in disgust at the MIB, a terrible habit she'd never been able to break. "Right, me, marry a talentless hack of low birth with no taste."

<(You got it from me. I never hid my disgust, why hide yours?)>

(>I don't suppose you have useful to say<)

There was silence and she sighed, flashing a solid black credit card at the stewardess to gain her attention. Silver account numbers flashed at the same time the employees eyes did. Money made the world go round.

"Mojito, and make it a double," she said handing over the plastic. Adding on in a whisper she told the woman to pay for the drinks of all the other panicked men and women. Regardless of ID and age. Something needed to calm these people down, and if it came to worse she'd get a kick out of any shennanagins a drunk decided to perform.

"And if you listen carefully, you can hear it going over your head," the MIB mumbled, running a hand down the side of his assault rifle.

The stewardess brought a notepad for drink orders and Agnese's request, and began to move to take orders with about as much fear as anyone taking drink orders of people with unconcealed automatic weaponry should feel.

Fyrin glanced up to the MIB, then asked, "What organization do you belong to? On the Council, I mean. Obviously you must occupy some position there or you would not have been able to react to us so fast."

"Mundane humans. You haven't been topside in a while, huh?" the MIB responded. "Good ol' vanilla humans, and there isn't a damn one of you magic-slingers who can use a gun better than us." He smirked. "Magic is your crutch, and when you lean on it too much it's all the worse for you when it gets knocked out from under you."

"So aside from the mass panic and fear running through the area, can you tell what's going on?"

She didn't know what his empathy covered, so it couldn't hurt to ask.

Takeshi shrugged. "Just a lot of confusion, so far, from what I've seen."

"We're keeping it hushed," the MIB interjected. "The armament of the general population is our trump card, and we're not Legion put it in play for us."
PostPosted: Fri Sep 12, 2008 11:20 pm

Fyrin shrugged. "I've been hiding," he explained. "When you hide well enough to disappear, you generally lose track of things going on. And a gunfighter you may be, but are you a tactician?" This question was asked not so as to shame the MIB; it was asked in sincerity. Fyrin was genuinely interested in their tactics.

"Not talking to you," Agnese mumbled. "So, I don't suppose you can tell me who everyone and their partner is? The Cabal members that is. I could care less about any of these peasants."

She had to keep from talking to ease her mind, to keep her stress away. And it wasn't that she felt these people were truly peasants-

<(Yes they are)>

She was simply raised in a family where she was an elite, no matter which crowd she was running with at tht at time. Or what they were doing.
