Thank you everyone for your patience, I forgot to mention I was going away for the weekend... but rest assured the new DC-U is almost finished. I'll be working on it today and hopefully have it ready to go in a few hours. biggrin

Well ladies and gents, the rpg is now available for preview as an announcement thread in the streets. Please feel free to take a look and give me your feedback on it.
In the mean time, I need to get my character profiles fixed up and posted and... I need to know which profiles in the DCU roster can be moved to the archives and which are being kept. I imagine those with 'update' and 'reboot' in front of them are safe to keep but of the others not modified, which are fair to clear out?

Personally I think it's a mistake to chronicle our history on the front page, a) huge blocks of text can be very off putting and I think based on our member's usual posting length we should be aiming for casual players, and, b) because it has little to no relevance on perspectives coming in, and might even confuse the issues.
But, I did like using Terry Wayne as the framing device, especially the new "stories begin to unfold" bit.

If any history were to be given, I'd say a short synopsis of the Blackest Night arc. It would give the members who've been here for awhile a nod. While giving prospects a quick glimpse what we are coming out of. Even if its a new story...

I like the summary. I think it gives perspective to newcomers. I would say if you do want to take it elsewhere, then keep it but move it to a reference thread or something, a thread which will have any other in-world information you would like to be readily available. That way, anyone can choose whether or not to read it and the necessary information will the in the main thread.
On the other hand, I still do think it's fine as is.
EDIT: Yes, Any of mine that don't say Reboot are fine to be archived.
