: Azalea nodded, "Yes,very sudden indeed, I hadn't even known that she was bonded...Yes, I definently think that a double-bond would be hard on the warders. I would think they would be competing for affections, or at least attention." Remembering suddenly that Mercury was bonded to two men, Azalea chuckled at herself. "I believe it may have been much like that with you originally? Now they work as a very good team...Well, they try to. You don't really let them do anything." She shook her head wryly, "Yes, definently no warders for me." :

"Huh...maybe it was. But Hawk and Wolf had been working together a while anyway, the way the Amyrlin and I do...so I guess it wasn't as bad. At least, nowhere to any level that I noticed, either by perception or the bond."

She stuffed some more food in her mouth, as Az commented how she didn't let her warders do anything. "Ok fine...I deserved that...but Wolf started lecturing me on the same thing a few minutes ago...surprised Hawk hasn't begun. In any case,I had to promise him the three of us would talk after we got back."

Which I'm not entirely sure if I'm looking forward to...

"Aw...come on. A warder couldn't be all bad. If nothing else, you could ask him to help with the heavy lifting of angreal...even though you could channel it...or just to look menacing? There has to be at least one thing you like about Gaidin...come on Az...out with it."

Clarissa left Yurin in the care of a Yellow Sister after hearing that all the she could do was extract the posion of the fade's blade out anything more and the shock would kill him. He would have to heal the blade wounds mostly on his own. He would be in a coma for quite some time. Clarissa took one last look at his pale body and gathered her skirts to leave.
She would love to simply crawl into bed and sleep for the next five years but simply because it had been a long day was no excuse for her to abandon her duties. She went to the accepted quarters and knocked on Mirren's door before entering with a stern look on her face.

Mirren was sitting on her bed fingering the serpent ring that had been laying right in the middle of her desk when she entered when she heard a knock.
Before Mirren could say enter the Amyrlin walked in the small room. The accepted scrambled up and bent into a curtsy.
I thought they would sent a novice to take me straight to the mistress of novices springy reed (sp?)

((I'm sick of making my posts pretty colors!))
Clarissa sat in a chair and motioned for Mirren to sit on the bed. She had never believed in making people stand until their legs ached and this was most likely going to be a long talk.
"Mirren tell me the complete story?" She said in a tired voice. "Why did you do that? What could possibly have made you angry enough to blow up Dragonmount? Is it because you blame the Tower from keeping you from your family when they needed you?"
PostPosted: Sun Dec 11, 2005 1:35 pm

"No"at least I think so now" I think more because you kept it from me. I don't know how I would have reacted if you had given me the letters. But it really pissed me of that I had to find out myself."
*Mirren kept smoothing her Accepted dress. She had putten that dress on, but for some reason she could not yet take the ring.*
"I didn't know I could wake up Dragonmount. I actually was aiming for an earthquake for the first time"

"I understand you had a right to know and we would have told you soon. We just couldn't let you know at first because you were strong in the power and might do something like this." She said with a sigh. "We were worried you would blame it on yourself or the Tower. I know you had good reasons but you ran away from the Tower and blew up Dragonmount. I may not have the foretelling but I still see many greasy pots in your future. Whatever punishment you have though will be less than what you should rightfully get because I blame myself some for not trusting you enough."

*Mirren's eyes nearly popped out of her head. I don't bloody believe it. The Amyrlin saying she blames herself. Mother's milk in a cup!*
"Thank you, mother" Mirren stuttered (sp?)
"Amyrlin? If my sister, may the light shine upon her ((or whatever they say in Randland)) had died any other way I would have had no reason to blame myself or the Tower. But dying as she did I do blame that Ter'angreal in a way. Actually I have only returned because my mother told me to."
How could I be so cool about all this, as if I have no feeling in me?

((Off to bed with me. I'll check tomorow morning and probably post again then, I will have to check my mail already to know how early I will have to leave. nightynight.))

: "Yes, those two have always worked fairly well together." Azalea faked a wince and laughed, "Communication, that sounds fun!" Her voice was dripping with sarcasm, "Good luck with that, I think you'll come out of that meeting looking more dead than you already do, if it is possible. When was the last time you saw the sun?" She stuck her tongue out playfully, "Though I suppose I have no room to talk." Azalea mulled Mercury's last words over as she bit into a piece of bread. She finally replied after finishing the slice. "It is not that I have anything against Gaidin, I am just not sure if it is for me. I mean, let's be realistic, Merc, I can barely manage the few friends I have! Just imagine me having to deal with emotions." Azalea rolled the word around in her mouth as though she was unused to its taste. "I suppose it would be nice to have someone around to do things for me, but I have yet to find a man I would be willing to spend so much time with." Azalea grinned, "What, you don't think I can look menacing? I am deeply offended!" :

"Forget the sun...we'll get plenty of it now anyway. You and emotions....well try pretending the Gaidin is a angreal. You do have a fondness for them."

She stopped a moment, and tried to picture Az with a warder who she felt was angreal...and started laughing. Clearing her throat she looked at Azalea with a smile on her face.

"Sorry...the mental picture of that was too funny. I suppose you have a point there...needs to be someone you could tolerate at the least. Which reminds me...I can't decide whether to hit Yurin for going off to the Dark One's land on his own, or else comfort the Amyrlin. To be honest, I thought it was finally the bonding which would work....they did get along, however awkwardly...but considering the sudden situation and bonding, it was working. What did you think?"

As Rolan walked with the crowd toward the White Tower, he wondered, Light! What am I doing here. If any of the Seanchan ever found out where i am, they would hire someone to bring me back, or kill me! With that thought, Rolan found an inn. He didn't catch the name on the sign , but Rolan needed an inn, and fast. All that traveling left Rolan feeling like the Dark One himself had made him tired. As Rolan walked in, he smelled savory pork, and stew. There were many people in the common room, and many young maids bustling about. Rolan sat down at an empty table in the corner and asked for ale. He watched the many drunken me trying to fondle the maids with disgust. One man ripped a maid's shirt trying to get her to sit on his lap. In defense of the maid, Rolan jumped up and ran at the man. The man, noticing Rolan, got up, a little more slowly than Rolan, but fell back down, to drunk to stand up. Rolan punched the man square in the nose. The man fell back off of the bench and didn't get back up, he just rolled on the floor, holding his broken nose. The other men at the man's table got up and pulled out daggers, swords, and Rolan even saw one or two axes. Expecting this, Rolan already had drawn his wickedly curved blades. Suddenly discouraged, the men sat back down, one by one, and continued to talk, if not a little more quietly. Rolan even noticed a couple men give a start at Rolan's sharp black eyes. The maid was still on the ground, so Rolan helped her up. "He won't be bothering you anymore," Rolan said.
"No, I guess he won't." With that, she got up and all but ran back into the kitchen.

Skiiy hears a knocking at his door, but he gives it a moment, finishing up the paper he was working on first, and stands up as he finishes signing it. He opens his door to the sight of his Aes Sedai and that guy who had just come back. "Oh, hey there Katerine, and, I think it was Nine? Anyways, what's up?" Skiiy looks around to make sure he didn't miss anyone, then moves out of the way so they could come in, in stead of being left to stand out there in the hall.

Clarissa chuckled at Mirren's reaction to her admitting she blamed herself.
"I make mistakes just like everyone." She laughing. Her face turned serious again as she began to speak.
"It's good you came back but please try to control yourself from now one. You are very strong in the power and it would have been a shame if you got burned out. Be careful for your own sake. If you do anything like this again I will make sure you get properly punished."

"As if I wanted the bloody mountain to erupt" Mirren muttered under her breath.
"I thank you for having me back this easy, and I will do my best at lessons, I expect I'll have some weeks of scrubbing greasy pans ahead of me?"

Clarissa smiled and spoke. "Yes of course but I'll let you decide how many weeks. If I find your amount too little I will double it. I think there is no need for the Mistress of Novices office because like I said I feel partly at fault. Don't expect me to be this kind next time though."
