Nam fell into the seat thankfully. As soon as she seemed to realize his intentions he felt his legs would cave in. "I... I see. Yes, that's a good point." He looked around the table and took some one's left over cup and drank the dregs swiftly from it. What showed of his face was a bit flushed. As eager as he was to bring up the subject, now he felt it almost unbearable.
His mind swam for something to say, though mostly it kept telling him to run back to the dormitory and hide under his bed. Then he looked up into Callypto's assuring dark gray eyes. They brought back inspiration and focus, seemed to anchor him to the spot. So much is expressed in the eyes. He mused.
"The teacher didn't expand on it very much... but in many muggle places, a different orientation is regarded... well, if they can't be 'fixed', they're shunned, abused... and in the worst places, killed." He wondered if he was making it out to be worse than it was, though it was true to his back-water home town. "Of course, we--- er, they know to keep quiet or move to a community of their ...'kind'. So there's not too much mishap." He searched around for more scraps of half eaten food to stop his tumbling stomach. "Please, expand on how that's different from here."
(( xD I feel bad, I get the easy one to explain. ))
"Well... In the elven community we are accepting of any and all. In the wizarding world I've seen no abuse towards those..."
She looked straight at him to gage his reaction to her words. "Like us."
"Though, one can always expect a bit of intolerance... I think being a half-blood -- muggle, elf, or otherwise is more -- how shall I say -- taboo. Why, I heard the great Albus Dumbledore himself was homosexual." //I'm really hoping that makes sense -- took me a while, hehe// I have found an egg!

0-Azula-0 Aludra Yvette... Aludra finished the rest of her sandwich in under a few seconds. She was a fast eater and had quite an appetiete for a girl. "Nam, thats a nice name. Very unique." He seemed pretty tense standing in front of her. It took alot of guts to apologize and even more guts when he knew she would have killed him if she wasnt so happy. She grabbed a few more pieces of bacon before getting up from the table. "Well Nam, it was a pleasure to meet you. I guess I'll be seeing you in the class." She nodded over at Kage then gave a little smile at Nam before walking from the Great Hall, her bacon in hand. ...6th Year Slytherin Egg! biggrin

Raising my goblet in turn I said, “to the new year,” sharing in the toast with Kay before taking a sip and setting the goblet back down on the table. Reaching down to pick up the silver ware I bid Kate the new Charms teacher a warm hello, and likewise for Ayamae who had just joined the table. A small pain pinged my heart as I knew that I would miss all the wild and funny times that Ayamae managed to bring out in Potions. Turning to start up a conversation with Ayamae I noticed that she didn’t quite look herself, she looked off, and I couldn’t sense that cheery disposition that she usually carried around with her. “Hey Ayamae your not, well don’t take this the wrong way, but you don’t look like your normal self today. Is something wrong?”

We've been friends since he was a foal..." she broke off, failing to mention to Kenneth that Magnus was the only "man" she'd ever felt any real attraction to. She knew mentioning that would be weird as all hell.
Placing a comforting hand on Ayamae's shoulder I said, "I'm sorry to hear that, is there nothing that can be done? Other than the choice I'm sure you don't want to have to make."

Auror "I guess I just have to do what's best for him and not think about myself...If he doesn't have his herd, he'll be nothing but miserable. It's better that he lose a friend than lose his entire family." She pulled out a handkerchief and blew her nose with a very loud, mournful trumpety noise and then vanished it with her wand. She looked to be in her mid-thirties now, small crows feet forming at the corners of her eyes, her hair losing quite a bit of its luster. "I'm so upset...I haven't even had a drink in at least 2 weeks..." I found an egg!

It wasnt really a problem about it getting out, people were going to see her fat belly evetually. "No I dont mind. I know how excited you were to tell everyone." she gave him a soft smile. "Speaking of telling people, I need to write my mom and dad... but I dont know what to say." Aludra reached over the table and pulled over a plate of pickles. She took hold of a rather large one and began to crunch on it, savoring its delicious flavor. "My dads going to kill you, I can already tell ya that." she said with a mouth full of pickle. ...7th Year Slytherin I found an egg! biggrin

Ayamae Akahana Ayamae, being the sneaky little busybody that she was, read the letter over Aludra's shoulder. "Awwww. Wish I had that kind of relationship with my parents..." Ayamae sat back down at the table, her stomach turning sour at the thought of her father. The reason she'd never be an auror, the reason her mother didn't love her...she frowned and pulled out her flask. Thoughts like that needed a drink to make them go away. I found another egg! ^^
