Cecilia began to grow distasteful of their new companion. He seemed a bit preoccupied with himself. What is the phrase? Ah yes, 'cocky'. If she hadn't been frightened of the events of the day before, than she was now. Vampires and the things that lurked in the dark no longer seemed like far off threats. They were very real dangers now. She had a vampire in her midst. An evil creature that could end her life on a whim, if she was lucky, or damn her to an eternity of sin.

Not worthy? Lovely and rude. Definitely rude. Despite being around for so long, he certainly has not learned his manners yet. Honestly. The smile did nothing to calm Cecilia. Hearing that the vampire was uncomfortable with the situation put her at just about as much ease as being in the middle of a hoard of vampires. Though she disliked their new company, she knew that the chance of them (not) dying (by his hands) while he was there was lower.

As he neared the gates to Upper, Hamil trod lightly on the soil, careful not to startle anyone. A shiver ran up his spine, and he hunched his shoulders for a moment, relishing the tingle of exhilaration the flooded his senses. His eyes fluttered, and he took a deep, shaky breath. This next meal was going to be so enjoyable, so intense! His plan was to snatch someone at the edge of the crowd, and drag them to the darkness, and feast, and relish his meal in solitude.

And today he was feeling... needy. He wanted a woman. He approached slowly, much unlike the many that were still racing toward supposed safety. So much for that... He smirked. They were so ignorant some times...

His victim was picked out, a fair maiden at the edge of the crowd, blond hair dirtied by a hard day's work. She was beautiful still, with toned muscles, and a slim body despite giving birth thrice. If Hamil hadn't been a vampire, he would have fallen head over heels for this woman. Now, she was just another meal to enjoy in the dark corners of the city.

With a sudden burst of energy, he raced forward, threw an arm around her waist, and clasped a hand over her mouth, then pulled away from the crowd quickly. She attempted to scream, but it was muffled by the vampire's hand, and the multitude of other voices far louder than her own. He dragged her toward a vacant house. Halfway there, he was already tired of teasing himself with the meal so close at hand, and bit down on her neck with all the power his jaws could muster. She moaned in pain, and became weak.

Hamil knew it was just the pain that caused her to moan, but he couldn't help thinking much dirtier thoughts... In the house, he sat in a corner with the woman in his lap as he drank from the veins in her neck. She squirmed futilely until she died. Unable to resist curiosity, he groped at the woman's chest. The instant he did so, blood in his mouth turned sour, and he pulled away from her neck quickly, blood spattering his face and neck. He tossed the limp carcass across the room, a frown on his face. He felt thoroughly disgusted with her blood and his foul deeds, though which he hated more was difficult to tell.

He stood and walked over to the body. He glared down at her, as if she was the source of his innate evil, and kicked her body so hard, he heard ribs crack. He gave another sigh, feeling somewhat relieved. He picked her up, holding her as if hugging a long lost lover then tossed her against the wall, and watched the corpse fall to the ground. It was so utterly satisfying, he couldn't help but grin malevolently. Life was good...

Hamil left the house quickly, feeling quite sated. He had sated his hunger, and now he was curious once more. He had to find out what was going on. He scaled the wall between Upper and Lower and began to observe, his presence mostly shrouded by the peasantry's ignorance and the guards' preoccupation. No one was around to harass him while he studied...

"I am not a stranger to this area. If we go up, we will find ourselves in the town square. However, considering what is up there, we may not want to go in that direction."

Caine looked around, his vampiric abilities allowing him to see perfectly in the dark. he spotted an open gate. He sniffed, and found that there were no creatures in that direction.

"There is an open gate over there. We can go that way...."

Caine turned to the two of them.

"...If you wish." he smiled.

((Sounds like an excellent idea. But as for a heads up, pittbull_mike may not even be active on here anymore. I don't really know though.

I liked this RP, it was interesting. Sucked that it died down so quickly. Though I do hope it gets moving again, anything you need help with I'll gladly aid you!))

In the night of the superbowl I was able to get a rough sketch of the New Menevyr, complete with fault lines, wind currents, and ocean currents. I have to touch up on the actual landmasses themselves, and name the "extremities" of the map, if you will.

Still working on extensive history...not going anywhere-fast.. Though have a nice general direction. Will continue brainstorming. Must also get history looked over by Vampyr..

Language is broken...by which I mean it's in parts and I still have to make a lot of it up. Don't worry I'll get it soon.

((Hey, its no problem mate. I've had four snow days up here so our second semester is wayyy behind scheduel. Homework from English and Physics kinda sucks too, though if I actually sat down and did it then it probably wouldn't razz
