Rowan walked out of the room and his hair is all over the place. His eyes are covered by hair. "Meeting?" Rowan yawns. "Oh right the meeting. What did you want to talk about?"

[ I like the idea of specializations, and sorry about disappearing. I was heading home from Maryland. Anyway, I'll be on more often now. ]

Kurai was the last to show up back at the base, and he was looking stormy. "That's the boldest they've ever gotten - what the hell are they thinking? They know I could take them all on with my eyes closed." Kurai specialized in pure combat, and hadn't found an opponent that could best him yet. He was also a smooth talker, and his friendly appearance made him most useful as a diversion, et cetera. "And they left the note - how'd they know that Shizuka was with us, already?" He flopped down on the couch, completely unaware that Rio had called everyone's attention for a formal meeting, and kept blabbering. "It really worries me..."

"Exactly what I was thinking," Kurai replied. "If they found out about her, what else have they - or others - found out about?"

Nadia frowned at the comments from Kurai and Jojo. She hadn't thought about the many other rival thief gangs in the area since she had been a part of them.

Before joining Rio's gang ((uh do we have a name XD)) she had toyed with the idea of joining other gangs, and eventually had, moving from one to another. Her interactions with the gangs had almost gotten her caught on several occasions and nearly killed in another. She had left the gangs in search of a group with loyalty and integrity-- well, for a thief. She knew the rival gangs to be brutal and kniving, they didn't respect the rules of the trade and backstabbing was an everyday occurance for them. She wouldn't be surprised if they were somehow spying on the group and knew their plans of upcoming missions. Nor would she be surprised if they tried to foil their plans by stealing the item first.

"Our rivals aren't exactly the type to abide by the rules of thieving. I wouldn't be surprised if they were spying on us and knew our plans for upcoming missions. Nor would I be surprised if they tried to foil our plans by stealing the item first. We need to be extra alert now. And Shizuka, those cameras might be neccessary, you'd better give your uncle a call after the meeting." She sighed. "Well this makes our job a lot more complicated."

((i wouldn't mind doing the lockpicking and maybe some part in planning, although i know Rio would be in charge of that))

"Yeah." He grinned at the bubble. "Wow... that's impressive." He leaned back into the couch, stretching out his impossibly tall form. "Okay, there are three good reasons why we always have been and always will be better than everyone else." He bounced up and leaned forward, capturing everyone's attention with his long hands and vivid eyes. "One - we love each other. Very important. Two - we don't specialize. We're phantom theives, house theives, pickpockets, nightrunners, we do everything. Usually all at the same time. And no one has any idea what we're doing next." He sighed. "This is why we need to make absolutely one-hundred-percent sure that our base is secure. In the past we've always relied on our location. Well s**t, guys. We'd better up the security around here or we're gonna get our asses kicked." He sighed, all this talking was making him thirsty. "And three - we practice. We practice, over and over, so that we don't make any stupid mistakes." He got up and went over to the refridgerator. "Holy crap, that was a huge speech."

[ So. This mini theives' guild (:3) is starting to take shape. Quite aware that I've been doing a lot of the shaping... hope you guys don't mind... ^^;;; okay. I was definitely thinking that they'd do lots of odd jobs and weird stuff as well as huge phantom theif style heists for the thrill of it. Sometimes they are propositioned by people with lots of money to steal them expensive artifacts or paintings. Sometimes they're hired to spy on people, information broking, or when I say 'nightrunning' (totally taking that word from the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling, fantastic books) I mean general rich person to rich person information and object theft. They go under a bajillion different names, so people think they're hiring different people when it's actually the same group. They don't pickpocket or housebreak unless they haven't gotten any comissions for a while, and even then it's usually to get revenge on the people who have hired them in the past (>D). Museum heists are definitely the most fun for everyone, but they can't do that too often.

Holy crap. I think too much T crying T but... I'm doing the thinking for everybody! Yay! ... >_> anyway... that's my humble little thoughts on the matter D: ]

"If you wish to, you can call him as soon as we're done here." Rio answered looking at Shizuka's piece of paper. "LIke Nadia said, those cameras are probably gonna come in handy. Now, about this meeting," he continued, "You guys have already covered one major topic, So the only other thing i really need to say is that everyone did an excellent job tonight. I believe Shizuka has already come to know the ropes of thieving, and is fitting in just fine. So Shizuka, since tonight was your first mission, you get to choose where we're putting this new painting that we stole." he smiled.

"That looks like a great place." Rowan picked up the very heavy painting and brought it over to the spot on the wall and mounted it there. "Very nice spot. I like it."

(( O_O dang you guys did a lot! sorry i wasn't around, i went camping and totally forgot to tell people. i tried to read most of the posts but i might get some stuff wrong ))

Robert walked into the room just as Rowan was hanging up the painting. He grimaced at the modern-art-splattered-paint thing. Oh well, a steals a steal. He grabbed a cupcake and leaned against the wall, waiting for his turn to talk.

He had caught a bit of the conversation, and thought now would be a good time to tell where he'd been. "I watched the museum from the building on the opposite street for a little while, to make sure they didn't discover anything important, when who should come up?" He waited briefly for any response. "Three thugs from some rival gang. Apparently they had the same idea as us." Robert shook his head. "They tried to break in through a window, and got caught instantly, of course: the guards were running everywhere." He closed his eyes and leaned back. "They're getting braver and stupider. What worries me is that they'll reveal something about us. At this stage, I doubt it, but it is something to think about."
