Hiya! I kinda wrote an introduction in the newcomer's lounge, because I didn't see this thread until now... So i guess i can just write some fact thingys and copy what I wrote from the other thread =) Name: Martin Nickname: Marza (Don't need to call me 91, although the user Marza is in fact a girl xD) Age: 17 Country: Norway Zip/Postal code: ... Just kidding, not telling you razz *COPY FROM OTHER THREAD* My name is Martin, but i guess it's easier to just call me Marza... (like that one better too :3 ) Needless to say that I love everything that has to do with fantasy, science fiction etc. especially dragons. My greatest wish in the world (besides being able to fly) is to have a dragon as a pet =D I have three small dragon statues in my room, and one big that sits on a tub with water that makes steam biggrin Pic: My dragon! biggrin More to say about me... I play piano, going at a music high school where I have piano as main instrument and guitar + song as secondary instruments... Can't come up with anything more right now, but I have written some stuff at my profile page if anyone wanna see razz Yays, I actually wrote more than one sentence ^^ *COPY STOP* Since people are also talking about history I'm a bit into Christian history.. A bit Da Vinci Code-style and what is true and false about Jesus and so on. I don't really know very much about it, but I guess I'll learn something if anybody else around is interested =)

I haven't changed my name yet, but when I do, call me Maia.
I was invited to this guild and I'm slightly curious as to why. I'm assuming someone has been watching me post in the Writer's forum? I'm surprised I haven't annoyed anyone there yet with my blunt approach to some writing issues. There is always someone who gets annoyed, lol.
I used to be a member of Crosshaven, but due to a conflict within the guild and my hectic schedule, I decided to leave. That was a few years ago and I haven't joined a roleplaying guild since (okay, mostly because many are weird and have their own little clicks running things which makes newcomers feel stupid). This is a big step for me, being social again. I usually just pop on here once in a while, change my avatar's clothes (a lot, you'll notice) and grumble that the MMO hasn't begun yet.
Just lately I've been lurking in the Writer's forum, and a few days ago decided to post an insanely long essay on metaphors that's so far being ignored by the mods *glares at sticky topic*
So unappreciated. *sigh*
Anyway, I know JastaElf from a while ago, so this is one of the reasons why I joined up. I have read her stories and used to bug her with reviews every blue moon. She knows me from my Legolas fanart I drew way back when and that art is still viewable on my DA gallery.
Speaking of which, I freelance professional as an illustrator and have one lowly short story published in a horror anthology. The rest of my writing is found on FFN (under the penname Maiafay), and AFF (Fanfiction.net and Adult Fanfiction.net) and my fandoms are game-based: Resident Evil, Silent hill, and Fatal Frame. Yep all horror games. I'm working on a dark fantasy novel that I'm still worldbuilding for and testing out and maybe, maybe will be published in the far future.
For fun, I give critiques on the side (mostly on Urbis, FFN, and a private writing group), beta, and post irksome know-it-all messages on writing forums that probably irritate everyone blaugh
Hmm, anything else? Other than hi all, nope, nothing.
You'll see me around somewhere. I have to peruse some more and get my bearings. Till then!
M

Hello Maia, it is I who invited you, and I did so because we're looking for intellectuals who are interested in the fantasy genre. We tend to be analytical about it here, but there's both in-depth discussions and light-hearted chatter here.
I did see you on the Writers Forum on one of Nyxix's threads about fantasy. As I was looking for such people, I thought I'd invite them as we talk about all aspects of the genre, including a specific writer's circle about it.

Hi Maiafay!! Welcome aboard!
This is a nice place with intelligent people. We sometimes disagree, but we're usually pretty up-front about it. smile I'm glad you're here!

Hi, everyone! I thought it'd be most polite if I introduced myself here first before I post something in any of the threads.
Name: Sandra Age: (That's a secret) Country: Sweden
I joined this guild mostly because I love fantasy (and some horror and sci-fi) and things related to mythologies and the middle ages, and so far I enjoy being a member here. Hopefully I'll try to post in some of the threads, once I have something interesting (I hope) to add or ask about.
Um... that's all I guess.

Hi Sandra! Nice name btw... wink Welcome to the guild and I hope you like it here. 3nodding By all means, feel free to browse to yer heart's contempt. I'm sure there are a few threads you will come to like and, if you can't find many, you can always start a new one here or at the proper sub-forum. And if it's not in the right one, don't worry, I can always move it there after sending you a heads up. mrgreen

Ah, that's right! I haven't properly introduced myself here yet...
I'm Marcairn. You can also call me Runa, that's up to you. I'm an aspiring writer from Norway, eighteen years old. Fantasy is practically the only thing I read when it comes to literature, and mostly the only thing I write, too. I'm very good at being open-minded and narrow-minded at the same time, I've noticed.
Other than literature I'm insterested in psychology, (which I plan on studying at university later), history, philosophy, anime & manga, computer games, art, languages, and, uhh, I think that's basically it. Oh, and religion! Like how I recently researched shintoism for a fanfiction I'm writing and really found it to my liking since it doesn't really preach about morals and all that. I'm almost inclined to convert even though I'm a sort of (read: agnostic and unorthodox) Christian. Now I'm not sure which one I like best; shintoism or d(/t)aoism.
... but that's beside the point!
I don't know what else to say, though. Hm. I like sweets? ... what the heck.
