GuardianAngel44 Lethkhar GuardianAngel44 Lethkhar GuardianAngel44 Lethkhar I think I could understand more. This argument is going in circles. The bible wasn't written when you were alive. It wasn't written so that you could understand it. It was written so that the Israelites could understand it. If that is the case, then why does it apply to me? If it was written before I was born, in a time when they wouldn't understand a much more just system that I could understand, why must I face the consequences of their ignorance? Why isn't a new version published? Why isn't a new version of the Constitution published? What are you talking about? That's what amendments are for, so the Constitution can be edited and changed to stay with the times (e.g. Amendment 13: Abolishment of slavery) Never mind, my argument didn't make sense. I was in a hurry and had to go to my youth group at church. It says in Revalations that the Bible will never be changed: Revelations 22: 18-19 18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. My question is why not.

The Bible's been changed numerous times, mostly for corrupt reasons. Yet many of those men turned out to lead perfectly healthy, rich lives.

The 95 Theses are interesting and rather important to at least know about as a Christian.

Of course, in his opinion he brought it back to what it was...Still, it upset a lot of people. I gave you that link to show you that, indeed, the Reformation took place.

I didn't see anywhere that the actual text of the bible was changed. . . Just a change in power level and such.
