Israfel took the distraction of the grunts to put his next portion of his plan into action. He pulled a Pokeball from his belt, releasing the Arcanine from its confines. The canine inhaled, before releasing a burst of flames that sped through the tunnels, racing towards the entrance. After all, it was fire's natural tendancy to seek out the nearest source of oxygen. Which in this case, happened to be the entrance to the mines.

Using the cover of the Heat Wave, Israfel followed the flames, keeping to the sides of the tunnels as he approached the group. The Gengar in turn, followed him, keeping tabs, and ready to offer assistance if need be. Israfel's Arcanine remained further in the tunnels, pacing slightly in the narrow corridor, a bit irritated that he couldn't come along with his master for this one.

As the flames reached the air of the beginning of the tunnels, the added oxygen created a veil of smoke along with the fires. This helped him emerge, hopefully with the element of surprise, as he sped through the midst of the group, aiming for everyone present.

In short work, he had lifted a Pokeball from each of them, before tucking them away in his bag.

First was a Shelgon apparently, followed by a Ninetails. Ironic, he mused, considering the last time he had come across the fox's owner. A Rotom, Meowth, Sceptile, and Haunter followed, all vanishing into their respective Pokeballs before deposited in the thief's bag.

The grunts who had battled the crew were running, retreating further into the tunnels. Israfel watched them leave for a moment, before facing the group, a slight smirk on his face as the smoke and flames receded.

The violet mist of Agatha's Gengar returned, as a grinning face appeared on the walls of the cavern. The ghost paused only a moment, before appearing fully, cackling.

"Thought you'd might want something more interesting as a welcoming party," Israfel spoke finally.

"We can't have you interfere in our efforts here. So for that, I'm afraid we must ask you to leave..."

And for anyone unfamiliar with the manga, Agatha's Gengar is invulnerable when in the shadows, but can be attacked once it emerges (which it has to do in order to attack). Anything it licks is instantly paralyzed.

Julian smiled, "interesting theoriees, though I'm faily certain I am in no way related to some ancient civilization." He chuckled softly before the smoke suddenly appeared. He jumped back as Genshi's pokeball was stoled. "What the!?" He hissed as the man spoke. "I won't be leaving anytime soon. Now give me my pokemon back before I really make you regret your actions."

Brayden coughed slightly as the smoke cleared, but stopped as he heard Ariadne's mental comment.

'Uh... you know you're short one nine-tailed blunder?'

A quick search at his waist revealed that Gin was gone. Brayden's eyes narrowed as he looked to the thief that was before him.

Recognition flit across Brayden's features as he saw the face of their attacker. Although he didn't know the name of the thief, he definitely recalled what had happened the last time they had crossed paths. The events at Stark Mountain had not been one of Brayden's strong points in his career.

"...You..." he spat, glaring at Israfel.

Caliga was checking Brayden's Pokeballs once more, making sure that no one else was missing. However, she paused, confused, as she spotted another Pokeball in his bag that she didn't recognize. It seemed to be in the place of Bray's Lucario. Curious, Cali took the ball, releasing its contents in the form of a rather strangely-hued, young Vaporeon. The skittish thing backed from Caliga nervously, staring her down as if she'd try to eat him. Last thing he recalled he was playing with a strange ball, and all of a sudden he found himself caught inside. Hours later he finds himself in a dark cave surrounded by strangers, and staring down a blue glowing creature.

All in all it was starting to be a really crappy day...

A shift of movement from behind him caused the Vaporeon to jump a couple of feet straight in the air, squeaking, as he whirled, slapping the moving boulder with his tail.

The boulder turned out to be an Onix that had been curled up by the side of the cavern, and the slap of the tail turned into an Aqua Tail with a splash of water as the nervous Vaporon scurried to hide behind Caliga, who sniffed, smirking slightly at the youngerling's cowardice.

However, it seemed he had a bit of strength behind him, Caliga mused, as the Onix crashed to the cavern floor, defeated without being able to land a blow on either of them. She nodded approvingly to the young one, who didn't really seem too intent to come out from behind her any time soon.

Entreri had hopped from Chloe's shoulder momentarily, spotting a Max Potion on the ground. Figuring it was fair game, he picked it up, brushing off the dusty potion as he prepared to place it in Chloe's bag. The smoke hindered him a bit as he growled, not liking to be taken by surprise in the least.

He made his way back over to Chloe, but noticed about the same time that she did that Saku's Pokeball had been lifted.

Chloe took it a bit worse than Entreri, who merely found it entertaining that the slow, clumsy dragon would allow her Pokeball to be stolen from her master's waist with no retaliation at all. He tossed the Max Potion into Chloe's bag with a yawn, before using it as a stepping stool to sling himself back onto Chloe's back, draping himself over her shoulder in his usual scowl-at-the-world position.

Her eyes widened a bit as she realized it was Israfel who had appeared before them, not enjoying the turn of events in the slightest. She backed up a few paces nervously, but glared at the thief.

"I'm not going anywhere," she muttered with a frown.

Felix had tried to snatch back at the figure when he felt him steal one of his pokeballs, but the smoke confused him, and he missed by inches. The meowth hybrid growled low in his throat as the smoke cleared and he could see the thief. Now that he had been the one stolen from, he found that he didn't like it, not one bit. "Give her back." Felix hissed, instantly knowing that it had been Gigi who had been taken. The little annoyance had disappeared as soon as the red head had touched the pokeball.

Felix glanced over at Vhan as the other boy pulled out his hammer, and then turned his glare back on the thief. "I hope she bites you." he muttered under his breath, flexing his claws.

Seeing as her trainer was busy, Cecile did her best to get her hooves on some potions to heal herself, which didn't work so well. Frustrated, she butted her against Felix, and caused one of his pokeballs to fall off of his belt, releasing Fern when the ball hit the ground. She told the treecko what she wanted, and he saluted, and then grabbed several potions out of the bag and using them on Cecile, accidentally spraying her with a small heart shaped scale that had gotten stuck to the potion as well. That being done, the large treecko discarded the empty potion containers back into the bag, and pulled out a oddly colored mushroom, and chomping down on it. He was hungry.

Kaya glanced to Julian before he spoke. "Watch yourself Julian. We'll get them back but don't get yourself killed." he warned. "This guys in league with Lance..." he muttered. "He's criminally insane and he isn't above killing just because he can." he warned, talking about Notaro, though he couldn't be sure he wasn't talking about Israfel as well. He wasn't sure what the red head was capable of.

Julian blinked his eyes a few times until they had become reaccustomed to the dim light of the mines. "Dammit, he got away." He hissed

Julian grabbed two poekballs from his belt and nimbly returned Rose and Ookami to their balls. "Don't worry you two, we will definitely get our teammate back." he consoled them before turning to the rest of the team.

"I'm going to go on ahead after those grunts, I'll see you when you catch up." He sighed as he turned and ran deeper into the mines. Julian ran for a while, watching as he quickly descended into the mines.
