I love suikoden2 I've beaten it atleast ten times.The coolest character in the whole game is Pesmerga I just hate you can't recruit him sooner.And the character that annoys me the most is Pilika, always crying I mean I know Luca's army killed her parents but man.

Am I the only person unable to take any of Nanami's serious lines... seriously? I was replaying the game once, after Shu made Pilika run home to Jowy to prevent that gangsta-style shoot-out, and Nanami's all: "You used that child like a tool!" (and then runs off all angry) And then I looked at her character portrait, all happy and smiling and carefree... and I burst out laughing.
And now... I can't take anything she says in a serious matter seriously. I'll come back to Suikoden 2 in a year and see if my feelings change.

That's true... Konami might have discovered that through experience, which was good. But still... even after playing through that game countless times and then realizing her happy face when she's really angry... it was quite a new experience.

Has anyone here done the Clive quest in this game? I haven't done it yet because by the time I get into it I can't get anywhere...like...because I haven't progressed in the game enough to get everywhere that Elza might be...I always get messed up with going to Matilda that every time I actually get there,it's too late...

How did I miss this earlier? Dude, Pilika is like 5 ******** years old. What the ******** do you think she is going to do after witnessing her parents burning to death, seeing Luca chop Pohl's ******** head off and almost have herself get sliced in two? I'd say the very fact that she doesn't weep and cry MORE is totally unrealistic of her character. She recovers from that shock far too fast.

I know, right? She was annoying sometimes, but I felt kind of bad for her. I'm glad they invented changing character portraits by that time though... Seeing Pilika's happy portrait when she's all emo wouldn't sit well with me.
Another subject: Changing portraits.
I like it... if only used right. Like costume changes and severe emotional relocation.
Suikoden V totally overdid it though. Every ******** five words is just too much. neutral

I hated when they did that. It pissed me off to no end. I was all: Dammit, we KNOW who it is, so why don't you just show us the freakin portrait! God, who could it honestly be? Gizel?

Gizel is wanting some booty-call. But seriously though, I understand Pilika was all 'Omg-Emo!' but I just can't like the poor gal. Whenever she starts going, I just wanna sic Luc on her. (cause Luc is ruthless and would totally slap that little girl) The part where Nanami went ape-**** on Shu because of the 'gangsta-style shoot out' as Chikuu described really pissed me off. She ain't the strategist! But then again, I'm partial to Mr. Shu..*dreamy eyes*

Pilika didn't bother me so much.
And to answer someone's question about doing Clive's quest...Yes, I did, and yes, it's worth it. Great ending to it. Although it pained me to rush through the game to get to the next triggering event, as I'm a perfectionist no matter how many times I beat a game. D:
