"Just cause yer not used to 'em." He should probably get p and start cooking dinner soon. He was starting to get hungry and Kaleb probably was too.

"I-if you don't mind them, I-I'll wear them more often. Then I can get used to them." Kaleb said, before sipping at his drink again. He hadn't expected the day to tire him out as much as it had.

Kaleb smiled, with how tired he was, that plan sounded just fine. He would probably fall asleep real easy once he was all clean and well fed, even without spending some time reading before bed. "I-I don't know, what do you want for dinner?"

"Don't know ... bought some cheese ravioli. I could heat up some leftover sauce and we could have that?" IT was easier than trying to put something together without planning it first.

"That sounds good," Kaleb said agreeably. His tails wagged a bit as he thought about it. "I-I made some vegetable dip a couple days ago, but I keep forgetting about it, maybe we could get out some carrots too?" It had been a simple kind of dip, sour cream with powdered onion soup mix, but he had stuck it back in the fridge to let it sit and never got around to pulling it out again.

"Sounds good." He pulled himself up off the couch so he could start boiling water for the pasta. "means i'll have more pasta for leftovers cause ya won't eat much"

Kaleb stretched out a bit after Riley got up. "Did you need me to help with anything?" he asked, inwardly hoping his partner was just fine on his own, so he could stay on the couch to relax and rest a bit.

"No. I'm good." He set the pot on the stove and went about finding the ravioli so once the water was hot he could cook

"Okay," Kaleb replied happily, and then reclined back against one of the couch arms. He closed his eyes for a minute, and then curled up to face the back of the couch with one wing draped over him and one wing falling off the edge of the cushions. In that comfortable position it didn't take him long to drift off to nap before dinner. He would have been embarrassed had he known he had slid down to a more horizontal position in his sleep, causing his shirt to ride up a bit and expose the base of his tails and a line of soft, pale fur.

He finished the pasta and poured it into a bowl with the sauce before he went fetch Kaleb. He twitched slightly and had to actually stop his hand form reaching out and touching his partner.
Shaking himself from head to toe he scooted away slightly. "Kaleb .. dinner."

Kaleb sneezed a bit in his sleep, and started drooling on the back of one hand, but he didn't stir at the sound of his name.

He cursed slightly to himself and leaned over to nudge his partner. "Come on .. i'll get cold"

"Mnn..." For a minute Kaleb looked like he was going to ignore the nudge and stay curled up, but then he slowly sat up and rubbed at his eyes. "Sorry, I didn't mean to fall asleep," he said, and then got up to go eat. Luckily by then, his shirt had settled back to where it was supposed to be.
