Leshya'e slowly exited her wagon, her eyes puffy and red, looking very tired and very hungry. She stumbled down the stairs of Varekai and made her way towards the stream. She had been boarded up in her wagon for quite a while now, not eating and not sleeping. The nightmares she would have as a child had returned. Going down onto her knees, she splashed her face with water and then sighed.
[couldn't think of how to bring her back into the RP...so sorry for not posting in ages guys...i suck]

Val looked sencerly into Shamira's eyes, "I would never hurt anyone, let alone people like you and Lorelei, fellow wanderers." She looked down. "The only way I would ever be able to hurt anyone is if I had to protect the children or the people of our caravan, for I would give my life to protect everyone here." She smiled a bit, brushing a stray wisp of jet black hair out of her yellow eyes. "You both seem like good souls that would never even think of hurting any of us. Sorry I had to deceive you, but there are many people in the world that aren't as... accepting of such wonders."

Em was overcome by a warm flush of joy- something about the idea of their caravan being accepted... for that was what she thought she heard behind the woman's words, felt like gold.
"Thank you." Em said, more to the subtext of her words than themselves- and reached out to take her child back from Shamira. She didn't want the Fortunette to start screaming his hedgehog shrill and put her ill-at-ease again.

Leshya'e stood up and made her way back to the caravan circle. She really needed to grab Valelldia and speak with her about her dreams. She took a quick detour into her wagon to fix up her hair and clothing and then made her way to find Val.

Val smiled once again at Shamira, "You can stay with us for as long as you like. We all can pitch in, get you a wagon and a horse. Don't worry about paying us back, you can earn your keep with babysitting duties and some help here and there if you like. And if you can entertain the people of the city with song, dance or crafts that would be lovely as well."
She reached into her pocket and held a purple bag in her hands.
"And I've been debating about this... but I think this one belongs to you. She keeps calling for you, ever sense I first saw you on the road." She smiled nervously and held the pouch out. Maybe it wasn't the most descret and well timed exchange of trust for a Fortunette but it felt right. To Val, feeling and intuition mattered more than logic in such a situation.

Handing the infant back to his mother, Shamira's eyes remained fixed on the little purple pouch - it really did seem to be calling for her. Carefully taking the pouch and opening, a multitude of golden zills greeted Shamira. Smiling happily, for some reason feeling content, she strapped the pouch to her belt before looking at Val and Em again.
"Thank you, sincerely - we'll earn our lodging, do not worry. Lorelei has some skills as a scholar, if she wishes, perhaps she could teach the children when they get older," stopping, for some reason her eyes were drawn to the pouch again. Caressing it gently, she smiled before continuing, "and I've had some education in the art of dance and music."

Val stretched a bit, glad the discussion went well and happy to have another couple of members to the caravan. "Well then, you should be able to make her very happy, she will be a very musical child. Her element is sound. And don't be afraid to play with her and handle her. They love attention and love even as just an item." Val looked back noticing Leshya'e approaching looking rather nervous, as if something troubled her.
"I will talk to Leshya'e a bit and we better head out to Mulden, it's getting towards noon time." She sighed. "We have been idle for so long, it takes time to get into the groove of moving onward I suppose. But we will get to it eventually." She stood up to greet Leshya'e.
"Good morning Shy!" Her eyes looked concerned. "We have been worried about you. Sorry I havn't been able to check in on you. We had our guest, who now will be traveling with us, to attend to." She nervously crossed her arms and stood there hoping she could help Shy out in whatever she needed.

((It's okay. biggrin I just explained Lorelei's absence from the conversation by saying she slept late, since it'd be out of character for her to wake up and just leave the wagon. So, Lorelei's still in the wagon, and she just woke up, in case you haven't seen the post. 3nodding

"Oh...good, its always nice to have more company..." Leshya'e nodded, "I'm so sorry for not being around...I just...I haven't been feeling myself lately..." She folded her arms as well, "Can we maybe go to your wagon...to speak more privately?"

Val looked a bit concerned, "Of course we can Shy, it's fine I am sure. Don't feel bad for not feeling yourself lately, it happens from time to time." She looked towards her former company. "Excuse us ladies, I will be back in a bit and then we shall be heading out of this temporary incampment."
Her long brown boots and leather pants were getting hot in the afternoon sun. Perhaps it would be a good thing to change into something a little less cumbersome after the talk. A simple skirt would probably do well.
She lead Shy to her wagon and opened the door, "Come on in, but I warn you, some things are a bit messy." The wagon smelled heavily of insence and really didn't look messy at all, perhaps cluttered was a better term. Val's bed had even been made. "oh and by the way, do you still have my babies?"
