p.s, don't base these reasons on the fact that- oh, well in MY band, brass don't do s**t... so WOODWINDS- just the same, if woodwinds can't play for s**t in your bands don't be an idiot and say, that's why brass is better

I play Tenor sax, the sound quality is a mix between brass and woodwind, but I myself favor the woodwind sound... so pretty! blaugh heart

BRASS ROCKS!! i play french horn .....no offense woodwinds....i like woodwinds (cause sis plays flute) but personally I dont like reeds.........dont kill me!!!! (runs and hides)

I like the brass for two reasons.
1. I play the trumpet
2. When I hold my friends' clarinets they always fall over and hit me. I hold the correctly. Even when my friend holds them they fall and hit me. Twice on my nose and once it slashed across my neck. I really do not like those two clarinets. They also hit me all the time. Not the person, just the clarinet. It really hurts.

i actually like both... but i do prefer woodwinds (since i play the clarinet) and i just think it sounds real nice... but i like trombones... they also have a nice sound... that is... if the person playing is any good 4laugh

I love both. Being that I play so many instruments I love both. My original instrument is the trumpet though so I would have to give the Brass just a little bit of an edge.

I like the brass tone quality more than a woodwind... but only if they are really good. Woodwinds are better when it comes to the music you play though. Example: Tuba is a bunch of half and quarter notes, clarinet is a bunch of 16th notes.
