"The master seems to be fully confident in your abilities. He has even mentioned that you perhaps are the best in instilling fear in your victims.... second to himself that is," HM snidely stated at the red sith, standing outside the tiny room.

"Had we more prior notice, i'm sure we could have prepared a better room than this. Even possibly giving you a warmup with your most.... unusual weaponry. The master is embarassed he could not let a fellow... practicioner of the arts such a courteousy."

Link gripped the edge of his seat as the ship shuddered again from another near miss.
The fact he was buckled in didn’t make him feel any better.
He was on a rickety Sullustian Space freighter being chased out of the system by a cadre of Imperial Starfighters.
He had no way to defend himself if the ship was shot down by the Predator Fighters. He was, in fact, helpless.
For a trained warrior in his prime, the idea of being helpless was frightening.

“Stop digging holes in my chair!” Reido barked at Link as fiery bolts of light blitzed past the canopy. “What’s the matter, Jedi?! You a space cherry?!”
“This one has traveled in Space before,” Link said calmly through clenched teeth, “but being shot at while doing so is a new situation altogether!”
“Figures!” Reido declared as he yanked his control yoke hard to port. The stars outside the cockpit tilted and whirred past at sickening speeds. “I get the one human Jedi in the galaxy who’s not a fighter ace!”
“Please don’t stereotype.” Link grumbled “It demeans us all.”
“Sure thing, Jedi!” Reido pulled back on the yoke and the ship’s bulbous nose turned up, Predator laser fire bracketing the edges of the viewshield. “Just as soon as you stop freaking out on me! You’ll rip the damn seat apart if you clench those monkey paws of yours any tighter, and that’s quality Corellian leather! Do some of that meditation kriff or something and relax! You’re in good hands!” He jerked on the controls and the ship suddenly yawed to starboard, again forcing the stars outside to whiz past at a dizzying speed. “Once I get us past the Interdiction field, it’s a straight jump to Bandomeer! I got the course already laid out!”

“Watch out!” Link shouted as a Predator bore straight in on them, canons blazing.
Reido thumbed a trigger and green bolts shot out, smacking into the Pred and sending it spiraling off course.
“Get out of my way you damn dirty shiznos!” Reido snarled at the predator as it yawed past.
Link glared at him.
“Oh…right. Sorry about that.” Reido muttered apologetically.
“Stereotyping, racial slurs; this one is beginning to question the model the Antarian Rangers present to the galaxy.” Link said critically.
Reido spared a look at the Jedi. “Oh get off your high bantha! Just because you’re a Jedi, that doesn’t mean you get the right to criticize me!”

“Eyes on the Stars!!”
Reido’s attention snapped back to his flying as a Huttese cargo barge began to rapidly fill their vision.
“Paraptu kresh!” Reido swore as he jammed the control yoke forward and drew power from the weapons into the engines with a flick of a jury-rigged switch.
The ship nosed down and rocketed under the barge at the last second. The pursuing Predators scattered and only one crashed into the barge, snapping one of its wings off as it slid underneath. The fighter began to spin out of control, forcing the pilot to bail.

“Ha-ha!” Reido crowed as he sent his ship into hyperspace. “See ya, sleemos!”
Link gave an exhausted sigh of relief and released his grip on the flight chair. “Never again. If this one is to engage an enemy, he will do it with solid ground beneath him.” The Jedi sunk into his seat and wearily shook his head.
Reido cast a glance at link and chuckled. “Hey, lighten up Jedi. You just witnessed first hand the fine art of running an Imperial blockade. All we need to do now is make a few off path jumps to sidestep whatever interdiction they might have called in front of us and we’ll be in the clear. Trust me.”
“This one trusts in the Force, and the Force is full of unexpected surprises. He will relax only when we reach our destination.” Link unbuckled himself and rose. ‘Now if you’ll pardon…”
“Fresher’s down the corridor and on your right.”
“Thank you.”

Fina Xanth

Fina reached the Palace gates, seeing the guards at it. They approached her as she was the only one in sight, aside from other guards, to be near the gates. "State your name and business..." Fina looked at the guards face. "Knight Fina Xanth of the Imperial Loyalists. I have permission to speak to the prime minister." She said, pulling her Datapad into her left hand and bringing up her information on it, also opening the jacket she wore a bit more to show her uniform shirt underneath as proof.

The guards looked at eachother for a moment, then he held up a hand for a brief moment as he walked away to his original position. "Wait here a moment..." He said, moving to a comm at the gate. He spoke to someone at the other end for a moment, and then looked to his partner and nodded toward him. "Go ahead Lady Xanth..."

Jaden reamined with the rest of the sith, a pathetic sight as it was, it was still something until he sensed a new more mature presence. Jaden decided to go take a visit, knowing the ship by heart, he found the closet and the feeorin and HM there. Jaden walked up to HM and spoke in sithese that the other sith could not understand, "Is this a new recruit," he said.

"Thanks for the vote of confidence," she Aurora said holdtering her blaster. "It was a good shot mistress," Sapphire pipped in her two cents.

She turned to Angel as she came back, "Good morning, welcome back. And I think Freya is right, if we destroyed the dummies we have to buy new ones," she said with a chuckle.

"Ahh Jedi happens" Kren said " I have slept in worse area and a lot worse circumstances".

The droid stood up from his semi-relaxed pose and at attention. "Well, Master Kren, I hope that the poor accomidations are made up for on the battlefield. I would personally have liked to watch you work your magic, but unfortunately I am required to translate for the Master for many of the bridge members, so the sound of meatbags screaming while various organic appendages are forcibly ripped from their bodies will have to wait for another day."

Giving a slight bow, HM enacted a human instinct, and drug Jaden several steps away from the door before replying in ancient sith, all the meanwhile making as much distance from the feeorin.

Kren laughs to himself and said as the robot left "I intend on attaching a video to camera to my armor to catch all the brutality as unfolds, i send you a copy".

He nodded, "I see, what has he come for, sith lords do not fight the battles, they create them," he said in the millenia old sith language. There was much truth and experince in what jaden said. The sith do the bidding of the sith lords, while the sith do the fighting, the sith Lords sit back and relax. But that all depends on the personality.

"I would not say the Master sits on his haunches. He tends to be quite active for as powerful as he is. There are some things lackies just can't do," HM rebuked.

Jaden laughed, "Oh HM, your insults have always been as bad as you are a fighter since day one," he said in sithese. The sith knew that HM was no match to the force, but he was a powerful driod non-the less.

"I'm afraid I do not comprehend all the different aspects of organics. I'm afraid I'm programmed to kill and translate, not for humor." HM retorted.

He sighed, "Oh well, now I feel really bad for my master, because he is stuck with an ignorant droid like you. Your right, you can't understand organics, which means all you can do is calculate and kill, and you will never truley understand the structure of how things work and how things are seen through the force, if you can't feel it or would ever want to. Which means you are nothing more then a useless machine that translates things, you are of no use to the master," he said.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 14, 2007 1:32 pm

"It is usual for organics to be jealous when they have been surpassed by a machine. Especially when I am able to speak with the Master, and you are not," HM said, noting several previous examples.

"Speaking of the Master, shouldn't you be with him prepping the troops, rather than here with me? I do not believe you were given the task of welcoming Kren the Saw on board."

He chuckled, this sith wasn't easy to anger. "Ah HM, you may of think you hit a bad spot, and maybe you did...but I know what will happen in the end, and trust me, you won't be the one who has the "last laugh"," electricity went through his palm as he smiled evily. "See you later scap metal," he said, begining to walk to where ferno would be needing his help.

After a few minutes he reached his desination, where Ferno stood. "You wanted me to help prep the troops my master," he said in sithese, bowing to his master.
