Kaori chuckled and shook her head, "That is not necessary, though I appreciate the offer. If you feel like it, you could join me in searching for my friend...." Kaori looked out at the trees, a far-away look in her eyes. "She's in those woods somewhere... I need to find her. Hopefully before something else does."

Glancing in the direction that Kaori turned, Selyna suddenly felt she'd have done better to come from that way. Why not go after her now? I can see very well in the dark and I'm sure wolfman over there can too. She wasn't so much eager to go out on an empty stomach as she was to find this person so her hostess would be more at ease. Her stomach growled again and she tried to pretend like the sound hadn't happened, her face remaining blank if anyone were to turn and look at her afterwards.

Abel rolled his eyes, though it was unseen by the two girls, 'oh please, not with this sappy s**t.' He thought bitterly. His stature became a little more stiff, and angered. "I have a name you know! And I'm a DEMON! De-mon" He shouted irritatedly back at her, annunciating the 'De-mon' as he did. One eyebrow lifted, he found it strange she had called him "wolfman." This made him sound like a werewolf, which he deffinately was not.

And this brought about an image, it made him sound like he was all fur, which he also was not. Sure he had ears and a tail, but he wasnt all fur, at least in this form. His ears pressed back against his head. "Now don't be stupid. You're just as hungry as we are. And I'm not leaving Aida by herself. But then again, I'm sure we should take her along to begin with. . . she's young. Aw, but who gives a s**t? She's dead." He snarled slightly in the back of his throat, getting frustrated. Stomping up the steps to the porch, he went in the house, letting the door slam behind him.

Left eyebrow cocked, Selyna watched as Abel got upset about being called wolfman. Where she was from it was common to be called kitty or leopard or whatever you were able to turn into, but apprently it wasn't that way here. Offended by his tone and by the way he spoke to her when saying how hungry she was, Selyna's eyes narrowed as she spoke to his retreating back side. Well if you were hungry you could've just told me and I could've seen if I could've found some jerky for you rather than you trying to chew it through the bag! She huffed and folded her arms over her chest as she walked in as well. She'd never done well with dealing with men as she'd never encountered any who didn't stare at her body or assume she was like her mother. So her eyes lingered on Abel a bit longer than they should have and that made her more upset. Just a stupid man like all the rest... And she smiled to herself inwardly and out with a cynical look; that's what she told herself and that's what she was going to believe though in the back of her head something about the whole thing nagged her.

Kaori chuckled quietly before turning to Selyna and smiling, "Try not to be to angry at him, it is hard to know who you can trust around here. And you were out side of my window, most that are curious come to the front door. Anyway, would you like to join us for breakfast?" Saying that, Kaori stopped in her tracks, "If it hasn't burnt yet. If you would excuse me!" Picking up her skirt, the young witch ran past both Selyna and Able and into the kitchen.

((whee, humor? *shrugs* meh))

"Nah, I woulda smelled it already. . . " He assured her, his voice was still so rough and angry. Shaking his head, he entered the kitchen after Kaori. His gaze immediately going to Aida, his path went in her direction. He ruffled her hair lightly, though nothing in his facial expression or other body language mirrored this playful gesture.

Selyna may have thought otherwise if she had met him earlier. Before them, but most of all before her. But there was no way for her to know that. And there was no way Able would be so quick to share. He was distrustful, anymore. If that time had taught him anything, it was that opening up so easy, and being close to another, and most of all, loving- led all too easy to being hurt. As these thoughts passed through his head, Able's gaze hardened to a stiff glare as it drppped to the floor, as his arm did to his side. But that was the past and he would just have to learn to get over that

Side stepping out of Kaori's way as she bolted by, Selyna gave a slight nod to her hostess' retreating backside in response to whether or not she'd like to join them for breakfast. Glancing at his reaction to the young girl, she shrugged it off as possibly a habit to do that, explaining to herself that's why his body language didn't seem to change. Shrugging it off, she looked around the kitchen, taking in her environment, wondering what kind of family these people were. Not being able to see Abel's face from this angle, Selyna saw his arm drop to the side and it seemed he was fixated on something on the floor. Bringing her bag up to her chest, she hugged it tightly and moved closer to Kaori, for fear that he may attack again. A man's ego is the most fragile thing... He may feel he needs to stroke it a bit... Remembering how many of the men would react and beat her when she denied their advances, she buried her face a bit in the bag while standing, her eyes the only thing visble over the bag. They narrowed a bit as she shook slightly, looking more like she may have just had a chill than frightened.

Selyna's movement caught Abel's attention and he glanced up at her. Peering over the bag like that, it made her appear as a youn child, younger then Aida, even. He shook his head. "And what's that look all about?" His voice was still gruff, and maybe even a hint threatening. But he wasn't the type to go for a second attack, especially unprovoked. But Abel didn't really see his earlier action's as an attack. More of a warning. She was a female, and nothing could make him attack her. But she didn't know that, so her fears might as well have been well thought out. He snarled, hoping not scare Aida, but enough to see if it phased Selyna, even in the slightest. He couldn't help but wonder if she was afraid of him, even if he knew Kaori would chastise him.

Selyna had long ago realized the worst thing she could do was to let a man know she was afraid, but years of what she'd been through had made that knowledge useless. When Abel asked about why she was looking at him that way, she desperately wanted to look away and act as if she didn't care, but she didn't know any of these people really well yet, and if her mother hadn't protected her from her "clients" why should she feel these people would help her. Deciding against responding as this would only lead to giving him a reason to remain focused on her, she flinched a bit when he snarled, her hands clenching around her bag as her eyes widened slightly for half a second before she remembered about trying to keep her cool and resumed her stance and look from before. Clenching her jaw, her face still hidden behind the bag, Selyna narrowed her eyes again, disgusted by men's pleasure in frightening and beating those they felt were weaker. Well she hadn't maintain her innocence all this time by not fighting back and she would do so if necessary, though she'd never had to fight anyone who wasn't from her own race, she had no idea what Abel was capable of. Moving closer still towards Kaori, Selyna wondered if she had some kind of fix or charm over him that he didn't seemed to try and scare her.

Kaori glared at Abel, "Selyna is now a guest in my house, Abel. I would appreciate it if you would not try to frighten her." Turning towards the young vampire, the young woman smiled appoligetically, glad that someone had been left to watch over their breakfast. "I am sorry for leaving you alone with the food, Aida. I am afraid I have not been a very good host so far tonight. If you and Abel want to sit in the living room, I will finish in here and set the table." The witch then turned back to the leopard and smiled warmly at her, "It is up to you what you wish to do now. You can sit in the living room with the other two, or stay in here."

Relaxing a little after Kaori scolded Abel, Selyna thought to herself, Must be some kind of charm.... No man let's a woman tell him what to do... Though her view of men was skewed, Selyna still had manners and knew that heading into the livingroom right now would be the end of her visit here. I'll help you out in here if you don't mind. Setting her bag down, she moved over to the stove looking over what was fixed. Would you like me to set the table? Where are the plates? She was eager to help this woman, and to learn her secrets of controling men, it would prove to be something very useful for her. Looking in the direction of the livingroom, she narrowed her eyes again, thinking of how young the girl was. Is it safe to leave that girl in the room with him? She looked awfully young.... and he did say he was a demon so who knows just how sick and twisted they are.... The venom in her regards towards men showed through quite clearly as she spoke, giving the impression that something tramatic had happened to her at some point.

He nodded "Fine, fine, Kaori. Sorry Catgirl." Abel turned to leave with Aida, though when he heard Selyna he turned. At first he couldn't believe he had heard it. His eyes were wide with the shock of it. Then they turned to an icy glare in her direction. "That wasn't necessary" He said in short, a real snarl rose now from his chest. This noise was feral, and truly terrifying. It was unbelieveable. How she could say something with such ease. This action -in which she had suggested that he was more than capable of- had ruined him before. He could never do it to someone else. But they didn't know. How could they?

Afterall he was still too cold hearted to tell anyone still.

"Sick and twisted, huh?" Abel's voice was almost at a whisper just as icy and unfriendly as his gaze on her. He allowed himself, though he knew he shouldn't have, to let his anger take over. As it grew, his breathing quickend and his posture stiffened.

Kaori had stiffened when she heard Selyna's question. Hearing Abel's reply, she had to agree with him. "She will be fine, Selyna. I would trust Abel with my life, and he has given me no reason to doubt that. Please, try to resecpt that. I do not know your past, but he is a guest here as much as you are. Besides, it is not fair to stryotype him anymore than it is for the humans to stryotype us."

Kaori walked over to the other shifter and placed her hand on his shoulder hesitantly when she saw him stiffening up. "Abel? Please, calm down...." Concern showed through the young witches voice.

Rolling her eyes at the catgirl comment, she stopped quickly and locked her eyes on the demon. Again her eyes narrowed as she tensed, but the slightest hint of a cower could be seen as he spoke and growled. Her ear twitched towards Kaori as she spoke, but Selyna never took her eyes off of Abel. Nodding at Kaori's response, figuring she knew this demon better than Selyna could've, but was still wary of him. He'd reacted in such a harsh way for someone who was just hungry and looking in a window. Perhaps he had Kaori and the girl believing he was innocent, but Selyna felt he was a lot more dangerous than he let up. Making a mental note to sleep lightly, she bowed her head a bit before speaking. I apologize then Miss Kaori, you no doubt know this... man... better than I do. You could hear the vemon in her tone when she said "man", but it didn't seem to be directed at Abel so much as the idea of men in general. I apologize to you as well then.... Abel.... sir. The last bit wasn't to belittle him, but something that she'd been trained to say no matter if she felt it was desrved or not.

Abel narrowed his eyes briefly on Selyna as he listened. Intending on staying quiet, sure it would help him keep control. His posture stayed stiff, his eyes still cold. Well until he heard, quite distinctly, her call him 'sir.' Though this falter was only momentary, as his hard reappeared moments later, it was certainly there. As much as his human half was. Though it took quite a bit for anyone to dig it up out of him.

Abel closed his eyes, his expression going blank, "Yes, Kaori?" He took a deep inward breath that filled his thin bare chest. It was so sickly pale. He turned slowly to face Kaori, his eyes softened on her, as he had opened them just before turning. He was thankful to her. And maybe thats what the softness portrayed. Abel hoped it did, but then again. . . he was use to being against others. Well since her.

"Thank you Kaori." He hadn't trusted himself. "I'm sorry, I almost lost it." He voice was low, and strangely and uncharacteristicly sincere. He had lost control, fully, only once before. And the thought scared him.
