Because I'm Weird Like That...
This page contains my favorite avatar edits. I love all my avatar edits. All one thousand-something of them. If I didn't love them, I wouldn't have gotten them. But there are just some edits that makes me stare at them for a long time (I know, I'm weird). Or there are just some themes that I love... and if you're selling an outfit in this theme, I'll buy it no matter what.
And this page is to showcase those edits. Need I warn you that this is an image-heavy page? Well... not as image-heavy as my avatar edit collection pages, I must admit.
It was certainly enjoyable for me to look through my edits and see which ones jumped out at me. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do (I know, but you're probably not as weird as I am...).
As a side note... I know I love the color red... I just didn't realize how much until I look at this page...

The Rare Guy
Over a thousand avatar edits and not one of them is a guy. Until finally, I got hooked on Meave's edits and found that she sells a couple edit that requires me to have a guy avatar. So a guy was born to be Cardi's partner. The only other time he got dressed was when I attended the masquerade ball event sponsored by Charcoal Feathers and Pugnacious Banana, among other avatar edit artists <3. Because their male avatar edits there were just so darn gorgeous. Gorgeous enough to make me make a male avatar. Yeah. That's how gorgeous they are.
Note: these edits are not included in the edit count.

Kimonos I am a sucker for kimonos. You will see in the next post that I am a sucker for historical Chinese outfits as well. There is just something about those parts of old Asia that fascinates me. I am proud that I have ancestors who hail from that long ago time and place.
If an avatar edit shop sells kimonos, they are decently made, and they are reasonably priced... I'm all over them. I will sell my sealed letter hoard just to buy them. Yeah. Really.

Chinese Okay. I don't know what is the politically correct term for this collection of clothes. All I know is that if I see an avatar edit with this flavor, I have to have it. For a long time, I was looking for Mulan cosplays. Finally, blessedly, Meave and Tinelle made them. Yayness!

Little Girl I can't remember if I was initially obssessed with getting edits from Meri & Kimi's shop, or from Rejected Material. But I do know that I stalked Rejected Material and waited for it to open. And since then, I've been obssessed with schoolgirl, little girl, and gothic lolita clothes. In fact, most of my avatar edits are in skirts... not a lot of them wear pants. Which is kind of funny, because in real life, I mostly wear jeans. I try to wear more skirts now, but I digress. For some reason, I gravitate towards little girl edits. Probably because I'm going through my second childhood?

Cosplay One of the things that made me repeatedly stalk Meri & Kimi's shop (isn't it sad that I am proud of being an avatar edit shop stalker?) was their Nyozeka cosplay. Actually, a lot of my other favorites are cosplays as well. I just don't recognize the series that they are from. But when I like the toon and I like the edit... well, then it goes into the favorites pile <3.

All Dressed Up... How does that term go? All dressed up and nowhere to go? I'm a total homebody, but every now and then, I actually see a gown or a party dress that I just have to have. That translates into pixels as well. One of the main reasons why I got into avatar edits is when I saw the edits sold at Princesses' Shoppe Mall. Every girl dreams of being a princess, right?

Fantasy The only thing better than being a princess is being a fairy princess. I was a big fan of Enid Blyton's stories. She has this one story where the fairies gave these two children tiny wands that could actually do magic. And she has this other story where the chamberlain goes around and gives magic wands to townspeople. I want a magic wand! A real one!
Or if that's not available, I'll settle for some good old magic that comes from my fingertips.
Okay, fine, I'll settle for falling down a rabbit hole. But that's my last offer.

Historical History's like listening to a bunch of stories that happened a long time ago. Sometimes I think the good times have really passed, decades before I was born. Really, is there anything more romantic than the eighteenth century? More smoky and kewl than the roaring twenties? More intellectually stimulating than when Freud and his contemporaries were alive? Do we have anything now that could surpass ancient Greece?
Oh. Wait. I forgot teh internetz.
I'm being philosophical and random here. I need sleep.
