Tellus collapsed onto the sand and looked up at Raven. "That just might be a plan my dear..." She was panting, not from the heat but from using that kind of energy. The swirls of it was almost blinding to look at around the young woman. The blue hair clung to her neck and back as she looked over at Raven.

The blue haired woman nodded slowly. "Yeah, I think so...I think it's going to get worse though till we find Sunny or Kas...err...Vahn." She wasn't sure why only that she felt it in her stomach that this was the case. "Do whatever it takes..."

((We should probably post in Durem with the kids...but I'm not sure what to do..you take the iniative? ))

The girl blinked. "Love who no matter what?" Wondering what the older woman spoke of, not understanding in the least. But she remained seated, letting the woman do whatever it was she was doing, trying to conserve her strength, grateful that there was no intelligent life anywhere about to attack them or otherwise.

"Yes...I love him no matter what. " She sighed and looked towards the sky. "Sometimes, the ache in my heart feels like it will never go away when he is gone, but then I just feel him, literally just imagine his arms around me and I feel at peace again." Lightly her fingers traced along the ocean blue ribbon about her neck, if Raven happend to look it would be a very fine embrodiary there that no human hands could have made that simply said "My kitten."

"You don't think..." Tellus shook her head, that wasn't possible was it? No, she firmly pushed that thought from her mind. "East it is then. Let's just hope he remembers us as long as it's been..."Standing up and leaning on her nagamaki to walk a little unsteadily. "We could always try using power to draw power. That Salamander that 's part of him seems to thrive on that. Though there could be otherthings that do as well....I'm almost willing to risk it to find him."

Sunstrike blinked at the bustle outside, and then grinned. This all seemed so... familiar at the back of his mind. Stepping out and closing the door behind him, he traversed the length of the hallway, watching, facinated by the mixture of lizardkind that followed the same path.

The hallway actually opened up into a larger cavern that could have been called a town center, were it not for the fact that there was a ceiling about twenty stories above. He breathed in a bit sharply at this and had to still his heart. I'm not in a cage...s'bloody miles away you stupid lizard... The claustrophobia was quashed as quickly as it began. It wasn't like the place was uncomfortable to be in, the heat was...beautiful. There was even plantlife, strange flowers that lit the entire cavern as if it were day. Dust from the pollen gleamed as it fell bit by bit. That's where the cinnamon smell came from, he realized.

He was just strolling along casually when he felt the nudge against his mind. Turning around quickly, his eyes widened. Her?! What on Gaia...the push he'd send back would almost knock Hono back in surprise. He was going to send a message along the link as well, when something smacked into the back of his head.

Blinking in surprise he looked at a ball that landed at his feet. There were a few hurried whispers behind him and he turned his head to see a group of hatchlings arguing amongst themselves.

"You ask him..."
"You're the one that tailed it...."
"Shh not so loud, we could get in trouble..."
"He's highborn..."
"Look at his clothes..."

Finally the biggest of them, almost old enough to join the military ranks, mused Dearc, came forward. He was an emerald green in colour with darker green markings.

"Would you mind if we had our ball back? We need it for our game." No apology, just the honest truth. Dearc grinned.

"If you can take it back from me, I'll let you have it again. Can't just egg someone in the head and expect it back that easy, eh youngling?"

"Your old, lizard, your grey scales are showing..." The child also grinned.

Dearc humphed and slid the ball along his tail, it traveled back and forth, perfectly balanced. "Names Dearc, and I'm not that old, least I'm not still clutching my mams tail to keep nightmares away." There was kind of an awed silence from the rest of the group. No one had traded insults with the bigger of them without ending up with a cracked muzzle.

There was a small growel and the child advanced, but he didn't attack Dearc, he went for the ball, which suddenly began to take a life all its own as the bigger black lizard flicked it in the air to land on his muzzle. Amazingly enough the youngling didn't pause, but scrambled after it, up Dearc's back, only to see the ball fall off the nose and out of reach, under a clawed foot. The older lizard hunched and threw the younger off. Recovery was quick and green flashed as the little one tried to sweep the ball away with his tail, dust sweeping into the air as it dragged. Dearc tsked and again the ball moved easily, bouncing over the grounded tail and into the other clawed foot.

"Don't drag your tail, hatchling, it slows it down unless your enemies facing away from you..." Yes. If no one had guessed by now, this was more then a simple game. It was a training excercise that all small lizards went through, from the poorest to the highborn, preparing them for joining within the military ranks of their kind. Though mostly it was for fun too, there was nothing like kicking the hell out of a ball if you were frustrated over someone being bigger then you, or taking your mate, or if you'd just had a bad day.

Whoops! Too much thinking Dearc...he thought to himself as another weight came from nowhere. The other kids wanted a piece of the action, though they'd waited for a secret command from their green elder first. Dearc barked a laugh as he was covered with hatchlings, trying desperately to keep the ball moving away from curling tails and grasping claws. The dust pile became enourmous.

Both women would find themselves not too far from perhaps the most oddest sight in all of Barthavos.

There was a road.

A road of pure glass.

And it led a great deal southward.

Would the duo take this "mysterious" road, or perhaps insist on going off in their direction...without so much as even a compass to guide them?

Engel stood a ways off, merely watching for the moment, as Dearc fooled about with the younger brood. His lidless eyes stared on for a while, before his lowered his snout in thought.

Zanzaban...you fool. In your rage, you've done nothing but ensure that the humans drop their hammer on us. Chusi was able to keep you in line...as was I, to a degree... but you've let his death blind you...

The general's tail thumped softly in irritation, as he moved away from the wall.

The prodigal son...returns. Or so it seems.
