Gaara smiled and encased Deidara in a fierce hug, despite having been tackled onto his computer desk.
"Dei-chan...I'm fine, no, Neji didn't hurt me, he just slapped you, and hard, so you should probably lay back down, you know?" The redhead watched as Deidara looked around, probably remarking on his surroundings for the first time, and said, "You're in my room. I carried you here."

Deidara scowled. "You'll get yourself hurt if you're worrying about me like that, un! I'm surprised you can even lift your own bag!" Waving away the smaller boy's anxieties, he added, "And I'm fine, I'm sure I've just slept enough to stay up all night, un..." He glanced around the room with faintly covered excitement at being able to see Gaara's room. The blonde looked over the various personal touches on the shelves - like what appeared to be a very old family picture, considering that the Sabaku's mother was in it; even the short-attention-spanned Deidara remebered how upset all the of the siblings had been the day they brought the news their mom had passed away.
Sighing, the blonde sat down on the neatly made-bed, returning his gaze to Gaara. "You're sure you're alright though, un?" he asked quietly. "He didn't say anything, un?"

"Yeah, I'm...fine. Neji didn't say anything." Gaara walked over to his bed, laying down after Deidara moved a bit. He hesitated a moment before pulling the blonde down beside him, wrapping his arms around his waist and nuzzling his cheek into his chest. "You know, I'm not as fragile as everybody thinks I am. I can take care of myself..."
But he didn't want to right now. He wanted Dei-chan to keep worrying about him, to show that somebody knew and cared about what he felt. Gaara closed his eyes in contentment as Deidara entwined his fingers in his hair, playing with it gently.

Deidara smiled slightly, curling up around the smaller boy. "It doesn't matter how strong you are, un. I'll still worry about you..." He buried his face in Gaara's hair, breathing in the fragrance. It smelled vaguely sandy, he mused, unsure of exactly how he made that connection when sand barely had a smell at all.
Sasori-danna has the same scent, un....I wonder why... He pushed the thought away. Thinking about his danna felt traitorous, and the idea of doing anything to hurt the little redhead in his arms right now was pure mental suicide. There's no way I could let myself do that, un...

"Hmm, I'm happy..." Deidara wouldn't ever hurt him, Gaara knew. Never ever.
The redhead snuggled in a little more into his Dei-chan's warmth and let himself relax, falling asleep a few minutes later.
((You don't mind if I temp Temari, do you?))
Abruptly Temari came in, opening her little brother's door without knocking, just to find one of the greatest shocks of her life. She actually staggered and almost tripped in shock!
Gaara was...SLEEPING. In the arms of that blonde he had carried home earlier (another big shock in Temari's life - who knew Gaara could be so strong?). What was his name? Dei-something?
Temari had thought Gaara was hung up on that other guy, Hyuuga Neji, who was a friend of Gaara's and of Shikamaru's. She didn't know when he had moved on. But whatever, if this blonde make her little brother happy, well, then she was ok with it too.
She snickered silently as she thought of what Kankuro's first reaction would've been. He had seemed so oblivious to the fact that Gaara liked boys! And his crush on the Hyuuga! Temari had always found that funny.
The blonde girl took a step forward and apparently made some small noise, because the blonde holding her little brother oh so tenderly turned and saw her, his eyes widening in surprise before he jumped up nervously. Ah. Kankuro had probably said something about her being a holy terror about this relationship or something to the like, and that was why Gaara's new boyfriend was so afraid of her.
She walked forward, putting her hand out and smiling, introducing herself. "Hi, I'm Sabaku Temari, Gaara's sister. And you are...?"

((XD Go for it XD Usually I end up doing that, and she is a tad more violent than normal (though that's not saying much XD).))
Deidara blinked at the newcomer, then stared down at the girl's hand before taking it and shaking gingerly. "Iwa Deidara, un," he replied. Okay, so she hasn't ripped out my spine and beaten me to death with it....that's a good sign, un... He tilted his head down shyly so blond bangs fell in front of his face, cyan eyes staring pointedly at his feet. "Uh, is it alright for me to be here, un? It's not too late or anything?" He inwardly mused that it might be nearing dinner-time by now....not that his dad would care if he were home or not, as if he actually would have something besides takeout. But he worried about being there when the Sabaku family was taking their own meal...

"Oh no, it's only five thirty. I've made dinner, but we won't eat until Kankuro comes home. Mom and Dad won't come back until later, and we just save some leftovers. Hmm...would you like to stay and eat with us?" Temari would usually terrorize (coming short of actual physical harm) any of her brothers' boyfriends, but then, it had always been Kankuro's boyfriends, since Gaara had never had one. And she didn't want to scare this Deidara away, not even for her famous You-Harm-My-Brother-And-I'll-Rip-You-Apart-As-Painfully-As-Possible speech. Because this was her kid brother, and he deserved happiness.
And so she smiled, and made attempts to seem as nice and non-threatening as possible.
((Me shall go to sleep now, it's 11:55 and me's tired. And me's happy that you're back. ^__^))

Kiba nodded and grabbed the kazekage outfit he had made for Gaara. He stuffed it in a bag. "Okay let's go!" He grinned and, knowing the way to the other boy's house, left, dragging Kankuro with him.

Deidara, once again, blinked up at the girl (oh s**t, was she taller than him? That's not cool...). "That's alright, un?" he asked, bewildered, and grinned widely, and carefully (so as to not wake up the little sleeping redhead) glomped Temari. "Thank you, un!!"

When they got to his house, Kankuro opened the door and gave a shout of 'I'm Home!' And (since its his turn) dragged Kiba upstairs. He paused for a moment when he noticed that Gaara's door was open, and let go of Kiba to investigate. He stopped at the door and blinked for a moment before tromping further into the house and disappearing into his room without a word, leaving Kiba standing in the hallway. He began going through drawrs and stuff, trying to figure out what he would need for the next day without having to talk to any of his siblings. If Temari talked to him, he would ask her if she'd seen Gaara's tattoo... If Gaara talked to him, he would ask if he was trying to get all the guys in school before he could date anyone.
At least there was one he couldnt get before him...
And he didnt talk much about his previous relationship with the boy named Haku....

-gasp- Kankurou and Haku...wow.
Anyway, I have a string temptation to make Sasuke beat the mess out of either Gaara or Deidara. Poor, poor Neji. Wow, I'm actually defending Neji and not Gaara. Shocking.))

"You're welcome. Now, you're going to be staying with Gaara until he wakes up, right? Call me when he's awake." She smiled again, patted the little blonde's head, and walked out of Gaara's room, just to bump into her other brother on her way downstairs.
"Kankuro? You're home? And...what are you doing dressed as your manga character? Aren't you a day too early?" Then she spotted Kiba holding a bag. "What's that?" Temari asked, pointing to it.
And finally, she noticed Akamaru romping around Kiba's feet. "OY! NO DOGS ON THE CARPET!!"
Gaara slumbered on through Temari's shouts.

Deidara winced at Temari's shouting. It sounded like Kankurou was home, and Kiba too, it seemed. Quietly closing Gaara's door, helaid back down next to the redhead, smiling and pressing a kiss to his forehead. Too cute...

Hmm, so warm...
And then Temari stormed in, a vein throbbing on her temple. "GAARA HAS A TATTOO?!"
Gaara felt the warmth try to leave and held on, rubbing his cheek against the warmth. He sighed in comfort.
Temari squinted at her brother and Deidara in the semi-darkness before giving up and turning the light on. Now she could see:
1. Gaara's new tattoo - the kanji of love on his forehead, just like Kankuro said.
2. Deidara's fiercely panicked expression - he looked scared enough to bolt but something was holding him back...oh, right, Gaara.
3. Gaara's amazingly cute expression when he slept - just too kawaii!!
Well, perhaps, just PERHAPS, she could forgive Gaara (for getting a tattoo) and Deidara (for not stopping Gaara from getting a tattoo), just this once.

Deidara's face was the classic "oh s**t" expression. Laughing nervously, he played with his bangs. "Er, yeah, I actually kind of like it too, un..." Quickly changing the subject, he added, "Uh, do you read that Naruto manga Uzumaki makes, un? Everyone's gonna dress as their characters tomorrow, un..." He held back a snicker at the thought of Temari's character. Not much different at all, except that she had a highly dangerous weapon in the form of a giant fan. Deidara gulped. Hopefully she didn't get too many ideas from that...
