((Thanks ya'll can call me Sarah smile I may come up with another character later on))
Janiet knew she shouldn't be eavesdropping. She hadn't tried to on purpose. She was helping one of the servants arrange some flowers and happened to hear her uncle mention the Princesses from Maisone. When she heard his plans for kidnapping them she began to wonder what he was scheming. While her uncle was basically a good man (compared to most) he tended to have some very hairbrained schemes. This particular one sounded worse than the usual.
Janiet heard her uncle dismiss the two knights and hurriedly went down the hall and hid in the rushes.
((Is Faradock going to be a new steady character?? I want mine to interact with him))

Ame wanted to protest. Badly. But she knew an order, and a dismissal, when she heard one. She simply replied with, "As you wish, Sire," and exited the room. She slowly walked back to her room, thinking. I'm getting a bad feeling about these orders... she thought forbodingly.

Janiet watched as Ame headed towards her quarters and assumed it was safe to come out. She might go and talk to her later. She didn't know that Faradock had yet to leave the area....

Faradock moved right behind Ame, waiting until they were a few feet away from the throne room to speak.
"We shall meet in the stables tomorrow at dawn," he instructed quietly. Until then, he would plot. The scheme was already forming in his mind; he could see the details falling into place like pieces of a puzzle. A rare hint of a smile flickered across his features for an instant. It would not be easy, but he adored such a dangerous challenge.
Sharply, he turned to head to wherever it was that this mysterious man usually lurked and saw the king's niece emerging from the rushes. He bowed curtly with a mumbled 'milady' and continued on his way.
((I'm not sure how long he'll be around.... I just kind of pick up different characters as they're needed in the plot to keep the story moving. I guess he'll be around until everyone's done with him.))

((Oh ok...I kinda wanted to use his character biggrin He intrigued me. Oh and rushes are types of curtains they hung to keep in warmth and such))
"Pompous pig" Janiet said as Farradock brushed past her. He didn't even have the good graces to inquire about how she was. Of all the.... Janiet realized she was acting like all those high flown ladies she couldn't stand. Who cares if he ignored her? It didn't affect her in the least.
Janiet started down the hall towards the kitchens.

((Oh, you can still use him. Like I said, he'll be around until he's no longer needed. I'll warn you, though, he'll be pretty standoffish. And thanks for the curtain reference! You learn something new every day. ^.^))
Sir Laurence sighed as he finished locking up his horse. He had completely worn himself out during the evening's ride, yet he still could not erase the Maisonian maiden from his mind.
What are you trying to tell me, Lord? he prayed as he trudged back up to the castle. Am I to go to her? Break my loyalty to Jahrr so I may find her to discern Your will? No, that wouldn't do, his instincts told him. He was to stay where he was and wait for God's instructions. I am Your servant, Lord; I will do as You wish. He avowed this last part quite forcibly, as his natural being craved to take action. Some said he was Jahrr's most loyal knight, but Laurence knew better; he knew he'd be a rebel, a complete ruffian if it were not for his relationship with the King of kings. He smiled at this last thought, thanking the Lord for the work He was doing in him.
As he turned in the corridor near the kitchens, he spotted Sir Faradock lurking in the shadows with a look of utmost concentration on his face. The men nodded to each other, Laurence with a warm smile and Faradock with a still-unreadable expression. The former continued on to the dining room, for it was about time for supper.

Ame sighed as Faradock walked away. Not only do I hate the order...I have to be stuck with him. She thought miserably. Remembering what time it was, she changed her destination from her room to the dining room. Ame sighed deeply, and sulked through the hallways to the dining room.
Inira swept up the floor of the stables, and yawned. "Stablemaster, I'm done!" She called. A large man entered through the stable door. He quickly surveyed the room, then said, "Alright, you can go." Inira leaned her broom against the wall, then headed for the kitchen to eat and visit her friends.

Janiet helped the servants put the finishing touches on the meal and then hurriedly headed to her room to change out of her messy gown. As she maneuvered the hall towards her room she prayed she would not run into the knight. Lord what makes him frustrate me so? She prayed for peace on that matter and prayed for her uncle and his hairbrained plan to kidnap the princesses. Let him not make this war worse than it already will be with his recklessness She quickly changed in her room and hurried to the Hall for dinner.

Janiet headed to the Great Hall for the evening meal. Her uncle expected her to greet him at the head of the table before finding her place further down. The person she was to share her trencher with had not shown up. She prayed the Lord would spare her from another dull dinner partner. While waiting for the meal to start she sipped her ale and began to reflect on her uncles plan....
((Who's gonna be my dinner partner? ))

[[Well, it's just 'cuz from what I know of back then, dinner partners were a male and female. That and knights and nobles might not sit together at the table.]]
